Chapter 59: Want to Call You Wife

Chi Ye had five stitches on his forehead, his head wrapped in a white net, and his arm in a plaster cast hanging around his neck. He looked miserable all over.

Fortunately, Chi Ye’s bone structure was good enough, so he didn’t look too bad.

The police came to take a statement. Su Shi didn’t plan to let Du Li go and told the truth: a love dispute, intentional harm, and, to put it seriously, even attempted murder.

Because it was clearly unreasonable for the motorcycle to be driving so fast on the auxiliary road, and the driver’s full gear corroborated this point.

After recording, the police told Su Shi to go back and wait for notification, and to contact them promptly if there were any new developments.

Chi Ye was pale from blood loss, but whether Su Shi was making a statement or going to the toilet, he followed closely.

Su Shi had no choice but to take Chi Ye home. There was nothing he could do. Chi Ye was now injured and a creditor. Su Shi had to take responsibility.

When they got out of the taxi, Chi Ye was already asleep. Su Shi gently woke Chi Ye up, “Chi Ye, we’re home, get out of the car.”

Chi Ye slowly opened his eyes, his dark and dense eyelashes fluttering, his eyes showing a rare innocence and simplicity. “I want to go back to your place.”

At the hospital just now, Chi Ye had stayed by his side every step of the way, and hinted, overtly and covertly, that “I can’t take care of myself.”

How could Su Shi not understand? This was clearly a request for him to take responsibility.

Su Shi pulled Chi Ye out of the car, “This *is* my place.”

Once home, Su Shi took out plastic wrap and wrapped Chi Ye’s injured right hand. “Okay, go take a shower.”

Chi Ye didn’t move, just looked at Su Shi like that.

Su Shi urged, “Go on, what are you spacing out for?”

Chi Ye pointed to the plastic wrap on his hand, “I can’t move my hand, so I can’t shower. I won’t wash, I’ll just sleep like this.”

Sleeping without showering? Su Shi was a little disgusted. “No way, take a shower, you’ll feel better.”

Chi Ye was like Daiyu, “My head hurts, my hand hurts too, I don’t have any energy.”

Su Shi didn’t know if it was true or not, but he understood that Chi Ye wanted him to help him shower.

Su Shi retreated repeatedly. “No way, you wash yourself.”

    Absolutely not, too intimate.

Chi Ye sighed, his eyes drooping, looking quite aggrieved. “It’s okay, I didn’t rush over there to coerce you.”

If this wasn’t coercion, what was? Su Shi complained inwardly.

Chi Ye continued, “My head is spinning, I’m going to sleep first, you go to sleep early too.”

Su Shi had no choice but to surrender. “Fine, I’ll wash you, okay?”

Whatever, they’re both men, what Chi Ye has, he has too.

Ugh, that’s exactly why it’s not okay.

Su Shi’s heart was once again engulfed in a sandstorm.

Chi Ye made another request, “Use your bathtub.”

So many conditions. Su Shi pouted behind Chi Ye’s back and urged impatiently, “Hurry up.”

Chi Ye defied him and didn’t move, raising his hand. “Help me, it’s so tiring to go upstairs.”

Su Shi jumped. “Chi, don’t go too far.”

Chi Ye suddenly reached out and pinched Su Shi’s face. “You’re so cute.”

Someone like Su Shi, who cared so much about his image, couldn’t accept having his face pinched out of shape. “Don’t pinch me.”

Chi Ye took the cue and didn’t provoke Su Shi anymore. He didn’t need anyone to help him; he went upstairs himself.

Su Shi liked to take baths and had all kinds of bath bombs.

Su Shi chose a lavender essential oil one and put it in the water.

Chi Ye was taking off his pants, his pants piled around his feet, kicked aside by him, his fingers pinching the edge of his underwear. Su Shi immediately shouted, “Don’t take them off.”

Chi Ye looked blank. “How can I take a shower if I don’t take them off?”

Seeing Su Shi’s face turn red, Chi Ye chuckled.

Su Shi glared at him. “What are you laughing at?”

Chi Ye pursed his lips, afraid to laugh anymore. “Nothing.”

Su Shi, do you know that the way you look right now makes me want to call you wife, want to eat my wife up.

The demon living in Chi Ye’s heart was screaming wildly.

Possession, plunder, and destruction are the nature of demons.

“Wear them, or I’m leaving.” This was the only thing Su Shi could think of that could threaten Chi Ye.

    “Okay.”

Chi Ye stepped into the bathtub, surrounded by bubbles.

Afraid of getting his injured hand wet, he didn’t fill the tub all the way. Chi Ye was tall and had long legs, exposing most of his body.

Su Shi scrubbed Chi Ye’s back, afraid to look around.

It was Su Shi’s first time being a hired hand, and his movements weren’t skilled.

One moment, he splashed Chi Ye’s face with water; the next, he scrubbed Chi Ye’s back too hard. There were undoubtedly retaliatory factors involved, but Chi Ye calmly accepted it all.

As long as it was from Su Shi, whether good or bad, Chi Ye wanted it all.

After washing for a while, Su Shi threw down the towel and put down his rolled-up sleeves. “Okay, wash the rest yourself.”

Su Shi slipped away so fast that Chi Ye didn’t even have a chance to agree before he disappeared from the bathroom.

A smile appeared on Chi Ye’s face, the arc growing wider and wider. Finally, he laughed out loud.

He really had to thank Du Li; he’d been a big help. Otherwise, he didn’t know how long he would have to pursue Su Shi before he could move into Su Shi’s home.

After a while, Chi Ye came out of the bathroom, changed. Su Shi had already showered in the downstairs bathroom.

Song Qingyan was coming over later, but Su Shi didn’t want him to, because he was afraid Song Qingyan would see Chi Ye.

But Song Qingyan insisted on coming, so Su Shi had to ask him to bring some food. After working hard all day, he was already starving.

Su Shi felt it was necessary to discuss things with Chi Ye in advance. “Song Qingyan is coming over later, don’t say anything out of line.”

Chi Ye: “Say what? Say that I like you?”

Su Shi choked. Since he’d opened his mouth, Chi Ye had become more and more thick-skinned, constantly saying things like that.

It seemed that Chi Ye had been faking his previous shyness, well-behavedness, and thoughtfulness.

“Anyway, don’t say anything out of line, I’ll say it.”

    Chi Ye nodded. “Okay.”

    Su Shi’s stomach rumbled.

Chi Ye said, “You’re hungry, I’ll order takeout.”

Su Shi stopped him. “No need, Song Qingyan will bring it over.”

Chi Ye didn’t reach for his phone, then remembered that his phone was broken. “I forgot, I don’t have a phone.”

Su Shi’s phone was in even worse shape; it had flown into the middle of the road and been crushed to pieces by passing cars, but there was a spare at home.

Su Shi had to say, “I’ll buy a new one tomorrow.”

Chi Ye seemed quite happy. “Okay, I want the same one as you.”

Su Shi glared at him. “I don’t want the same one as you.”

Just as they were arguing back and forth, Song Qingyan and Qiao Yu arrived.

Song Qingyan looked Su Shi up and down, then hugged him. “It’s good you’re okay. I didn’t expect that person to be so crazy; if he couldn’t get Xu Chongming, he wanted to destroy you.”

Su Shi agreed, “Yeah, he’s just a psycho.”

Song Qingyan looked at Chi Ye, gloriously injured, again. “Chi Ye, thank you, it’s a good thing you saved Su Shi in time.”

Chi Ye said shyly, “It’s nothing, it’s what I should do.”

Song Qingyan tilted his head and asked, “But how did you happen to be there?”

Chi Ye: “I just happened to be going to find Su Shi.”

Su Shi, wasn’t he calling him Brother Su Shi before? The address has changed.

Also, how could he appear by Su Shi’s side so coincidentally and manage to save Su Shi so promptly? Why?

A flash of inspiration went through Song Qingyan’s mind.
