Chapter 55: Let Me Be Your Boyfriend

On the plane, the flight attendant had already asked Su Shi twice, “Sir, would you like something to drink?”

Su Shi finally snapped out of it, “A cup of hot tea, please.”

The flight attendant left, and Su Shi exhaled.

Waking up in the morning, Su Shi discovered he was actually sleeping next to Chi Ye. He clearly remembered sleeping on the small sofa after washing up the night before.

Su Shi was so startled that he fled in a panic, heading straight for the Airport.

But upon arriving at the Airport, he found that Little Jie had booked his return flight for tomorrow.

However, Su Shi couldn’t wait to escape from here, so he bought a ticket for today.

The planned relaxing trip had turned into a terrifying one, completely derailing Su Shi’s plans. His heart was pounding wildly.

The first thing he did upon arriving home was to call someone to change the locks, as if simply changing the password wasn’t enough to stop Chi Ye’s forceful invasion. This time, Su Shi changed the lock to a fingerprint lock.

This was the first time Su Shi had been so panicked, and it was precisely because it was the first time that he was so flustered.

When Su Shi opened his suitcase, intending to take out his clothes one by one, he realized that a few items were missing.

Su Shi always had a clear memory of his clothes. The missing items were a shirt, a pair of pants, a pair of underwear, and a pair of white socks.

He immediately thought of the items that Chi Ye had washed, which were still hanging in the hotel room.

Su Shi clutched his head, deciding to just forget about it.

Su Shi planned to take a shower before heading to the Studio. As he took off his pants, he noticed that the two red patches on his leg seemed to have been treated with medicine. No wonder he hadn’t felt any pain while walking.

Su Shi’s face flushed crimson, and he felt like banging his head against the wall.

When Little Jie saw Su Shi, who was supposed to return tomorrow, appear before him, his mouth dropped open wide enough to fit an egg. He followed Su Shi into the office, “Su Shi, didn’t you say you were coming back tomorrow?”

Su Shi’s tone was serious, “I was afraid you guys would slack off, so I came for a random inspection.”

Little Jie stuck his tongue out behind Su Shi’s back. Okay, he did slack off for a bit, but he didn’t neglect any of the important tasks.

“Bring me all the work for today.”

It was the first time Little Jie had seen his boss actively asking his assistant for work. He wondered if the sun had risen from the west.

If he didn’t know that Su Shi had a boyfriend, Little Jie would have guessed that he had gained an encounter during this Dong Su trip; otherwise, why would he be so out of character?

He also observed that although Su Shi seemed completely immersed in his work, he would occasionally space out.

Something was up, something was definitely up.

At 5 p.m., Little Jie informed Su Shi that someone was looking for him.

A warning bell went off in Su Shi’s mind, and he blurted out, “Don’t let them in. Don’t let them in if he looks for me.”

Little Jie’s expression was strange and confused. “Su Shi, it’s the client you scheduled.”

Su Shi gave Little Jie a reproachful look, “Why didn’t you say so clearly?”

Little Jie rubbed his hands together, “Okay, my mistake.”

Little Jie was very curious. Who was it that made Su Shi so wary? In his impression, Su Shi didn’t cause trouble and wasn’t afraid of trouble. There was almost no one he regarded as a dangerous person.

Out of curiosity, and also out of a sense of responsibility, Little Jie asked one more question, “Su Shi, who shouldn’t I let in in the future?”

Su Shi paused, not looking up or at Little Jie, “No, no one. Never mind, you can go out now.”

After chatting with the guest and then treating them to dinner, the day quickly passed by.

Su Shi got out of the elevator and walked towards his front door. A tall figure was standing there, just standing there, not leaning against the wall or playing with his phone.

Su Shi seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. After a day of avoidance, what was coming was still coming. It was better to solve it once and for all.

Chi Ye heard the familiar footsteps and turned his head, looking intently in Su Shi’s direction, his mood fluctuating.

Waking up early and finding Su Shi gone, along with his suitcase, he knew that Su Shi had run away.

Chi Ye touched his forehead. His temperature had gone down, but his head was still dizzy.

Everything last night was a huge web he had set to get Su Shi, trapping himself in the process.

The blanket no longer held Su Shi’s warmth, but it still retained the scent of the two of them intertwined.

Chi Ye cherished the blanket, hugging it tightly. He glanced to the side and noticed that Su Shi had left some clothes behind. An idea instantly came to him.

Su Shi had already calmed down after most of the day of adjusting. He was joking. He was Su Shi, who had worked his way to where he was now without relying on his family. How could he be panicked by a young boy? What a joke!

Su Shi was carrying a laptop bag, his face expressionless. “What are you doing here?”

“You changed the locks, to keep me from coming in?”

This is my home, can’t I change the locks?

Su Shi walked past Chi Ye, preparing to open the door. “Since you know, what are you waiting for?”

    “Su Shi, let’s talk.”

Su Shi lowered his head, looking like he didn’t want to say much. “There’s nothing to talk about. I don’t want to see you again.”

    “Su Shi.”

Su Shi didn’t remember when Chi Ye had stopped calling him Su Shi Ge, but every time the name “Su Shi” came out of Chi Ye’s mouth, it was so tender and lingering.

    “Let’s talk here.”

Chi Ye looked at him, “Are you sure?”

Of course, he was sure, very sure. He didn’t want to let him into the house, you bastard.

Su Shi cursed Chi Ye a thousand times in his heart, but in reality, he didn’t want to make things so ugly. “I’m sure, go ahead.”

However, the next second, he regretted it immensely.

Chi Ye hugged him from behind, his voice and burning breath right next to his ear, “Thank you for last night.”

Su Shi’s whole body broke out in goosebumps. He broke free from the restraint, turned around and glared at Chi Ye, his expression flustered. “Shut up.”

Chi Ye’s eyes were full of affection, but his behavior was outrageous. “Do you want to keep talking here?”

Su Shi felt like he had lifted a stone only to drop it on his own foot. He angrily used his fingerprint to unlock the door, went inside, and closed the door after Chi Ye came in. Su Shi said in embarrassment and anger, “Speak, and then leave quickly.”

In Chi Ye’s eyes, Su Shi now looked like a cat that had been provoked, its fur bristling and its fangs bared, ready to pounce and bite him to death in the next second.

But Su Shi didn’t know that even so, Chi Ye would still hug this cat, willingly exposing his entire neck for it to bite, preferably merging with Su Shi’s bones and blood.

An evil spirit lived in Chi Ye’s heart. When there was no nourishment to feed it, the evil spirit languished in the corner. But once there was nourishment, the evil spirit would quickly grow and devour everything, its appetite becoming increasingly uncontrollable.

Chi Ye didn’t want to make Su Shi angry.

Before, when they were together, there was only happiness. Su Shi smiled every day, and Chi Ye loved the charming dimple that appeared when he smiled.

But now, Chi Ye hadn’t seen it in a long time.

Seeing that Su Shi’s lips were a little dry, Chi Ye went to the kitchen to get a cup of warm water. “Drink some water first.”

Su Shi was indeed thirsty. He had been talking constantly while eating with the client, and the food was salty. He had been thirsty for a while, but Su Shi didn’t accept Chi Ye’s kindness.

Su Shi was expressionless, waiting for Chi Ye to speak.

“I remember everything from last night. Su Shi, let me be your boyfriend.”
