GLIHBN Chapter 3
by VolareSu Shi changed into a set of casual clothes, and his hair was restyled, with bangs casually falling across his forehead, making him look like a college student.
Su Shi walked up to Chi Ye and spun around, “Is this okay now?”
Chi Ye nodded, “Yes.”
The two went out, Su Shi driving, and the car stopped in the underground parking lot of a large shopping mall.
Su Shi got out of the car first, but didn’t see Chi Ye following, so he had to go over and knock on the passenger-side window, “Get out, what are you spacing out for?”
The car door took several seconds to open from the inside, Chi Ye’s face was a little pale, and Su Shi hurriedly pulled him over to look him up and down, “What’s wrong, are you feeling unwell anywhere?”
Chi Ye’s voice sounded a little weak, “No, let’s go.”
“Are you really okay?”
Su Shi put his hand on Chi Ye’s arm, a little worried, recalling that when the car drove into the underground parking lot just now, he seemed to have glimpsed Chi Ye’s hand grabbing the car door handle.
“I’m fine.”
Su Shi put his hand down, only to have his wrist grabbed by Chi Ye, “There are a lot of people in the mall, be careful.”
Su Shi looked down at his wrist being held, understanding dawning in his heart, “Okay.”
The little boy was probably afraid of basements or something, but embarrassed to say it, everyone has something they’re afraid of deep down, Su Shi just pretended not to know.
Once inside the mall, Chi Ye returned to normal, but the hand gripping Su Shi’s wrist still didn’t let go.
Su Shi led him into a men’s clothing store, “I’ll buy you some clothes, I didn’t see you bring much in your bag.”
“No need, I have some.”
Su Shi glanced at him, putting on his work persona, “I said I’m buying them, you’re staying at my place, so you have to follow my rules.”
So domineering and unreasonable, Chi Ye had no choice but to say, “Okay, thank you, Su Shi-ge.”
“You’re welcome.”
Su Shi started helping Chi Ye pick out clothes. Because of his job, he always dressed himself up meticulously and handsomely, this was his specialty, but dressing others was a first.
Chi Ye was tall, neither fat nor thin, just right, a natural clothes rack, and he also had a tender face. Su Shi was eager to dress him up into a stunningly handsome guy, really looking forward to the result.
Su Shi chose four or five sets of clothes and handed them to Chi Ye to try on. Next, all he had to do was sit on the sofa and wait to see the results.
Every time Chi Ye changed into a new outfit, Su Shi’s eyes widened a little more, unleashing a barrage of rainbow farts.
“Wow, so handsome.”
“Chi Ye, how did you grow up to be so good-looking, what did you eat?”
“I also have a similar set to this one, but I feel like you look better in it.”
Not only Chi Ye, but even the shop assistant was overjoyed to hear it.
Chi Ye’s usually stern face had a touch of softness to it. He looked at himself in the mirror, this face praised by Su Shi as impeccable, was it really good-looking? He never thought so.
But if Su Shi said it was good-looking, then it should be.
After trying everything on, Su Shi waved his hand generously at the shop assistant and said, “These, these, these, I’ll take these sets.” He patted Chi Ye, “I’ll pay, it’s a gift from me.”
The shop assistant beamed, “Okay, Mr. Su, please come with me.”
Su Shi followed the shop assistant to pay.
“Su Shi-ge,” Chi Ye called out to him.
Su Shi turned his head, “Hmm?”
Chi Ye pointed to the set that Su Shi had just said he also had a similar one, “Don’t you want this one?”
Su Shi looked at it and nodded, “Oh, right, let’s take it.”
Chi Ye carried the large and small bags, half a step behind Su Shi.
Su Shi had noticed it last time, and didn’t plan to pretend not to know this time. He stopped in place, not expecting Chi Ye to stop as well.
Su Shi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, “Why do you always like to follow behind me? Two people walking should be side by side, that way it’s easier to chat.”
“Oh, I understand.” Chi Ye obediently complied, walking parallel to Su Shi.
Su Shi was satisfied now, and then took Chi Ye to a men’s underwear store, buying several sets of pajamas and several pairs of underwear.
Now, everything was complete, from what to wear inside to what to wear outside.
Both of them were carrying things, but the larger items were all in Chi Ye’s hands, Su Shi was carrying the smaller items.
Passing by a pet shop, Su Shi stopped and stood in front of the glass window, looking at the cats inside, his eyes filled with longing and his voice gentle, “Little kittens, you’ve gotten fat again.”
Chi Ye asked him from the side, “Do you like cats a lot?”
“It’s okay, my mom used to raise one, it was very beautiful, it was a Ragdoll cat named Mingzhu.”
While saying this, Su Shi lowered his eyes, Chi Ye could feel his mood become depressed, he had heard Xu Chongming say before that Su Shi’s mother had passed away.
Chi Ye took the things from his hand, “Let’s go in and buy a bag of fodder to feed them.”
“Okay.”
Su Shi’s eyebrows curved, he used to just look at them through the glass, reminiscing about his deceased mother through these soft, white little things.
Su Shi’s mother died of a massive hemorrhage when she gave birth to his younger sister Su Qing when Su Shi was 9 years old. In the same year, that Ragdoll cat died of depression, its body lying in front of his mother’s portrait.
Su Shi liked cats, but didn’t dare to raise one.
After feeding the cats, Su Shi originally planned to go home, but changed his mind after receiving a phone call, asking Chi Ye, “Why don’t you come back with me? My dad asked me to go back.”
“Okay.”
Su Shi quite liked this about Chi Ye, yes was yes, no was no.
Su Shi told Chi Ye to wait at Exit B of the mall, and he would go to the parking lot to drive out.
Chi Ye knew that Su Shi had noticed, pursed his lips, and only said, “Okay.”
The car had just stopped steadily when it arrived at Su Shi’s house, and a big boy rushed over. As soon as Su Shi got out of the car, he was bear-hugged by the person, “Brother, I missed you so much.”
The boy was Su Shi’s half-brother, Chen Cheng.
Su Shi pushed Chen Cheng away, “Okay, you’re so old, still so unsteady.”
“You haven’t come back to see me for so long, and you won’t let me go to your place.”
Chen Cheng accused Su Shi’s behavior, and when he saw Chi Ye coming down from the other side of the car, he instantly became vigilant, “Brother, who is this person?”
“Don’t be rude, he’s my friend, call him Chi-ge.”
Chen Cheng pouted and said in a huff, “I won’t.”
Chi Ye had been calmly watching these two brothers, but when Chen Cheng put his arm around Su Shi’s arm, he frowned imperceptibly.
The three of them entered the villa gate together.
Chen Jingtian was sitting on the sofa reading a financial magazine, when he saw them come in, he took off his glasses, “You’re back?”
“Dad.” Su Shi introduced Chi Ye to Chen Jingtian, “This is my friend, Chi Ye.”
“Hmm.”
Chi Ye obediently greeted Chen Jingtian, “Uncle, hello.”
Chen Jingtian seemed very approachable, “Yeah, make yourself at home, don’t be shy.”
“Okay.”
Soon it was time for dinner, Chen Cheng squeezed Chi Ye away from Su Shi, sitting next to Su Shi, while Chi Ye was forced to sit opposite them.
Chen Cheng chattered non-stop, Su Shi lowered his head and focused on eating, only occasionally saying “Hmm.”
But Chen Cheng didn’t care, and spoke even more vigorously, talking about some daily trivial matters, which would make others fall asleep.
Chen Jingtian said to Chi Ye, “Xiao Chi, don’t mind, Xiao Cheng especially admires his brother, and always has endless things to say.”
Chi Ye raised one corner of his lip, “I don’t mind, if I had a brother like Su Shi-ge, I would be so clingy too.”
Su Shi heard these words, raised his eyes and glanced at Chi Ye.
After dinner, Chen Jingtian asked Su Shi to go to the study to talk about something. Before leaving, Su Shi told Chi Ye to wait for him, and if he was bored, he could go to his room on the third floor to play, and told Chi Ye the specific location.
Chi Ye didn’t want to stare at Chen Cheng, so he naturally chose to go to Su Shi’s room, not expecting Chen Cheng to follow him all the time.
“Hey, I’m my brother’s only brother, don’t try to steal him from me.”
Chi Ye didn’t want to talk to such an immature idiot, and quickened his pace into Su Shi’s room.
Chen Cheng pushed open the door that Chi Ye was trying to close, “Hey, did you hear me!”
Suddenly, the wind from a fist brushed past his cheek, and then with a “bang” it hammered into the wall behind him, Chen Cheng’s face turned pale with fright.
He could feel that this fierce punch was originally meant to land on his face.
This punch was full of warning and deterrence.
Chi Ye withdrew his fist, his knuckles rubbed red, his eyes narrowed, looking at Chen Cheng like a dead thing, and spat out a single word: “Get out!”
Chen Cheng shivered and ran away quickly, “I’m going to tell my brother, you’re a bastard.”
