GLIHBN Chapter 2
by VolareSu Shi pushed open the door of a bedroom and said to Chi Ye, “This is your room.”
Chi Ye casually glanced inside. What came into view was a white bunk bed with light blue bedding, which looked very fresh and clean. “Okay, thank you.”
“No need to be so polite.” Su Shi waved his hand. “I’ve prepared your toiletries and everything. They’re all in the bathroom cabinet. You said you had breakfast already, so take a rest and catch up on some sleep. I have to go to the Studio, I’ll be back at noon to take you out for a meal.”
After Su Shi finished this series of instructions, he waited for Chi Ye’s response and then went upstairs to change his clothes.
Chi Ye stood at the door for a while before entering the room. He closed the door, lay on the bed, and began to carefully examine the room again.
From now on, this would be his room.
There was a long, white Dog Pillow lying on the pillow. Chi Ye picked it up and carefully looked at the dog’s face, feeling that it had a kind of cute clumsiness.
Chi Ye hugged the pillow and officially started to catch up on sleep.
Su Shi changed his clothes and came downstairs, wearing a Deep V black shirt and white pants, which was fashionable and a little sexy.
Su Shi fastened his watch and gently pushed the door open to glance inside. Seeing that Chi Ye was lying on the bed asleep, he went in and pulled over one of the air-conditioned blankets to cover him.
This was a rule left by his ancestors: you must cover your stomach when you sleep. Su Shi had always strictly adhered to it.
Seeing Chi Ye’s face buried under the Dog Pillow, Su Shi murmured softly, “He’s really a child.”
It seemed that Chi Ye liked the pillow he had chosen. That was good.
Su Shi tiptoed out and closed the door.
Inside, Chi Ye’s hair moved slightly, and his breathing gradually became even.
Su Shi easily forgot the time when he was busy. It wasn’t until 1 p.m. that he remembered there was still someone waiting for him to come home.
Su Shi felt very guilty and quickly made a phone call.
The call connected, and Su Shi first expressed his apology, then asked Chi Ye whether he should order takeout or wait for him to go back and eat out.
Chi Ye said there was no need, he had bought groceries and come back, and Su Shi would have something to eat when he returned.
Su Shi didn’t expect this child to be so diligent and sensible, and felt even more guilty.
He explained the situation to his assistant and quickly left.
Arriving home as quickly as possible, as soon as he opened the door, Su Shi smelled a rich fragrance.
There were many dishes piled on the table, and steam was rising from the pot in the middle. It turned out to be a Yuan Yang Hot Pot.
Chi Ye happened to come out of the kitchen. “You’re back, Su Shi-ge.”
“Yeah, sorry, I really couldn’t push the work today, but I can rest this afternoon and take you out for a walk.”
“You don’t have to accompany me on purpose, work is important.” Chi Ye said sensibly.
Su Shi washed his hands and came out, saying, “How can that be? Your brother told me to take good care of you. I didn’t do well on the first day, so I have to make up for it.”
Chi Ye showed a slight smile. “You’re so good to Chongming-ge.”
Su Shi sat down and immediately started eating. He was so hungry that his front chest was pressed against his back.
He had gotten up early in the morning and didn’t have time for breakfast. When he got to the Studio, he plunged into the plan and only drank a cup of iced Americano. Now, smelling the steaming and fragrant hot pot, Su Shi felt like he could eat a whole cow.
Su Shi took the first bite and was conquered by the taste.
The spiciness was just right, and the seasoning dip was just right, simply perfect.
“Wow, it’s so delicious.”
Su Shi didn’t care about his image anymore and stuffed another large piece of beef into his mouth.
Chi Ye ate slowly and leisurely, reminding him, “Don’t rush, be careful it’s hot.”
Su Shi ate several mouthfuls in a row before feeling like he had recovered. He was a workaholic, and irregular meals were common, his stomach was used to it, but he didn’t know why he was so hungry today.
“Did you go out to buy groceries?”
Su Shi usually didn’t cook, and the refrigerator only had beer, drinks, and fruit.
Chi Ye had only arrived here on the first day and went out to buy groceries. This child was really sensible.
He heard Xu Chongming say that Chi Ye’s family was very, very rich, more than the Xu family and Su family combined. Then wouldn’t Chi Ye be a top young master? Why didn’t he have any young master’s temper and was so down-to-earth?
This really surprised Su Shi.
“We agreed that I would take care of you, but you’re cooking for me instead.”
“It’s okay, you don’t need to be so clear about it. I’m staying at your place, so I have to help you with something.”
Su Shi laughed, showing that single dimple again.
This was the second time Chi Ye had seen it today. His eyes were dark and bright, and his gaze accidentally fell on Su Shi’s Deep V neckline, and he quietly turned away.
Su Shi was not good at housework and always hired an Hourly Worker.
But Chi Ye said he didn’t want outsiders in the house and took over all the chores of washing dishes and wiping the table.
Su Shi was simply too embarrassed, but he still enjoyed it with peace of mind.
Chi Ye was cleaning up in the kitchen, and Su Shi was lying on the sofa in the living room, touching his belly.
After a while, Xu Chongming made a transoceanic video call.
It was night over on Xu Chongming’s side, and his face was close to the camera, as if he wanted to come to Su Shi’s side through the lens. “Are you tired today?”
Su Shi was lazy all over. “A little bit.”
Xu Chongming pretended to clench two fists and pounded in the air. “I’ll help Teacher Su massage his shoulders.”
Su Shi scolded helplessly, “Fake!”
Xu Chongming said affectionately, “My heart is real. Wait for me to go back, and I’ll serve you well then.”
Su Shi glanced at Chi Ye, who was busy in the kitchen. “Don’t talk nonsense.”
Xu Chongming understood instantly and sat up straight. “How is Little Ye doing with you?”
“He’s pretty good, he’s very sensible.”

Su Shi said half-jokingly, “If you know I’m good, then cherish me, otherwise you’ll regret it.”
Xu Chongming quickly expressed his determination, “Of course I’ll cherish you and hold you in the palm of my hand.”

The water in the faucet flowed Wow, washing the empty sink clean. The conversation between the two in the living room was heard by Chi Ye, word for word.
“Where’s Chi Ye? Let him come over for a bit.”
“Okay, I’ll call him.”
Su Shi raised his voice and shouted, “Chi Ye, your brother’s calling you.”
Chi Ye turned off the faucet. “Coming.”
He dried his hands, came out of the kitchen, and sat next to Su Shi. Seeing Xu Chongming in the laptop screen, he obediently called out, “Chongming-ge.”
“Chi Ye, listen to Su Shi, okay.”
“Got it.”
“My mom is going back to Hangzhou next month.”
Chi Ye nodded. “Okay.”
Chi Ye went back to using short sentences, giving people no desire to continue chatting.
Su Shi felt that Xu Chongming and Chi Ye didn’t have much to say to each other either. In order to not make the atmosphere awkward, he interjected, “It’s late over there, you should go to sleep.”
Xu Chongming’s tone softened. “Yeah, baby, I’m going to sleep, I have a full day of classes tomorrow.”
“Okay, go ahead.”
Then Xu Chongming kissed the camera as if no one else was around.
Su Shi was shocked and quickly closed the video.
Fortunately, Chi Ye didn’t have any other reaction, and Su Shi felt relieved. He was really afraid of leaving a bad influence on the good child.
Su Shi’s skin was very white, especially the skin on his chest, which looked like a flawless piece of white jade against the black shirt.
Noticing that Chi Ye was looking at him, Su Shi unconsciously gathered his clothes. “I’ll take you out for a walk.”
“Okay, where to?”
Su Shi didn’t actually have much experience in playing around. “I haven’t thought about it, let’s just go wherever we end up.”
“Okay.” Chi Ye looked at him again. “Do you want to go upstairs and change your clothes before we go out?”
Su Shi looked down at his clothes. “Why? Don’t I look good in this?”
Chi Ye said softly, “You look good.”
Su Shi looked at him with interest. “Then why should I change?”
Chi Ye looked up straight at Su Shi. “The sun is very strong outside, you’ll get sunburned.”
Su Shi chuckled. Ultraviolet rays were indeed a major enemy of exquisite men, but he didn’t expect that a little boy like Chi Ye would also care about this.
“Okay, I’ll change, you wait for me.”
Chi Ye stared at the closed dialogue box on Su Shi’s laptop, his black hair falling over his forehead, obscuring his thoughts, not knowing what he was thinking.
