    Chapter 32: Entering the Room

Around 8 PM, after Jin Mo and Xu Jiahao finished the meal delivered by the robot, they prepared to explore the room across from them.

During the day, they had already wandered around.

There were a total of six suites on this floor, and only they were checked in. There were no surveillance cameras nearby.

The clients who stayed here were all well-known people who didn’t want their privacy to be known.

Surveillance cameras were a danger to them.

Therefore, there wasn’t a single surveillance camera on the entire floor.

This greatly facilitated their exploration at night.

No wonder Gong Min dared to give them the room key to the room across the hall.

“Let’s go!” After putting the trash bag into the robot’s belly, Jin Mo waved to Xu Jiahao.

“Actually, we could have gone in during the day!” Xu Jiahao stood in the hallway, looking left and right. “There’s no one around and no surveillance cameras. What’s the difference when we go in?”

Ignoring him, Jin Mo took out the room card from his pocket, deftly swiped it to open the opposite room, and darted in like a cat.

Xu Jiahao followed closely behind, also darting inside.

As soon as they entered, they quickly closed the door and paused behind it.

Even with no one around and no surveillance cameras, they still felt guilty, like thieves.

The room was dark, the curtains drawn tightly, not a single ray of light seeping through.

Jin Mo turned on his phone, activated the flashlight, found the switch behind the door, and turned on the lights.

A meter away was a hidden sliding door embedded in the wall.

This must be the door Jin Baiyan requested to be added!

“What did my brother want this door added for?” Jin Mo said, pulling the door outward.

“This door… can only be locked from the inside!” Xu Jiahao studied it and said in surprise.

Jin Mo took a look and smiled. “Is my brother guarding against people from the outside coming in?”

    Xu Jiahao nodded in agreement.

“That must be it! He’s giving himself double protection!”

Jin Mo “Mm”ed. “He’s probably guarding against me! If he hasn’t managed to sort out his problems by the time I come, then even if I want to get in, I won’t be able to!”

Xu Jiahao laughed. “Your brother really doesn’t leave any loopholes! He’s considered every possibility!”

Jin Mo raised his eyebrows, a proud expression on his face. “Of course, my brother is awesome! Otherwise, he wouldn’t have managed the company so well at such a young age!”

Seeing Jin Mo’s smug expression, Xu Jiahao couldn’t help but turn and walk inside.

The layout of the living room in this room was much the same as the one across the hall, except that it only had one bedroom.

Jin Mo pushed open the bathroom door and glanced inside.

Two towels were neatly hung on the rod, a wash cup sat on the sink with a toothbrush and toothpaste inside, and a hair dryer hung on the wall with its black cord trailing on the floor.

Looking at the scene before him, Jin Mo felt as if his brother was still living here, and his heart started to race involuntarily.

“Your brother didn’t take his luggage!” Xu Jiahao called out from the living room.

Jin Mo closed the bathroom door and walked towards the living room.

On the coffee table was a pack of cigarettes that his brother often smoked, next to a Venus Limited Edition Lighter, the coming-of-age gift he had given his brother.

Jin Mo picked up the cigarette pack and looked at it. There were still more than half of the cigarettes inside.

He put the cigarettes into his pocket and picked up the lighter, constantly stroking it in his hand.

“My brother always treasured this lighter, and usually couldn’t bear to use it. Now he’s just left it here. He’s…”

Jin Mo’s hand holding the lighter trembled slightly, and his heart beat even faster. A sense of fear, like standing on the edge of a cliff, suddenly washed over him.

“Don’t think wildly. Maybe your brother is afraid that your determination to find him isn’t strong enough, and he’s using this method to stir up your longing for him!”

Xu Jiahao said randomly, as he walked towards other places.

Jin Mo stood in front of the coffee table and pondered for a moment, actually finding that what Xu Jiahao said made sense.

On the coat rack behind the sofa was a silver striped tie.

Jin Mo recognized it at a glance as the tie his brother had worn for his first day at work.

“This is the first tie in my brother’s life. I bought it for him, and I was the one who tied it for him!”

Jin Mo took the tie from the rack and carefully folded it up.

At that time, he had just started university, and the two of them hadn’t broken up yet. Their relationship was as close as one person.

His brother was two years older than him, had finished his credits early, and was called to work at the company by Jin Huaiyang.

Knowing that his brother had to wear a suit and tie, Jin Mo started plotting.

His brother’s first tie had to be a gift from him.

To buy this tie, he wandered around the mall for a whole day.

Without experience, he didn’t know what style to buy, so he wandered around, secretly observing what others were buying.

Finally, with the recommendation of a sales assistant, he bought this one.

The sales assistant tricked him, saying that this color tie was versatile! He believed it.

In fact, it wasn’t versatile at all, but Jin Baiyan loved to wear this tie, no matter if it matched or not.

Every time Jin Mo saw Jin Baiyan wearing the ill-matching tie, he felt secretly happy.

“You bought this for your brother?” Xu Jiahao glanced at the tie in Jin Mo’s hand, a hint of disdain in his eyes. “This color is too bright, it’s not easy to match!”

    Jin Mo chuckled twice.

“Yeah! But my brother loves it very much!”

Xu Jiahao “Hmph”ed. “He doesn’t like the tie, he likes the person who gave him the tie!”

Jin Mo’s smile became even brighter. “That’s right, that’s me!”

“Tch, getting more and more shameless!” Xu Jiahao muttered softly, pushing Jin Mo. “Stop reminiscing about the past, hurry up and find the clues your brother left behind!”

Jin Mo “Mm”ed, put the folded tie into his pocket, and turned to walk towards the balcony.

A recliner was placed on the balcony.

Looking at the recliner in front of him, imagining Jin Baiyan lying on it, smoking a cigarette and rocking back and forth, Jin Mo couldn’t help but smile.

He circled the balcony, but found nothing.

“There are a lot of paintings here!” Xu Jiahao’s voice came from the bedroom.

    Jin Mo quickly ran over.

“What paintings?” Jin Mo asked as he walked.

“I don’t know!” Xu Jiahao handed the paintings to Jin Mo. “They look like jigsaw puzzles!”

Jin Mo flipped through them roughly. There were more than a dozen paintings. Looking at each one individually, it was impossible to tell what they depicted.

He quickly squatted down and spread all the dozen or so paintings on the ground.

Xu Jiahao also squatted down, and the two of them busied themselves.

More than ten minutes later, both of them fell silent as they looked at the completed picture.

In the picture, Jin Baiyan, wearing a blue school uniform, sat on the steps of the playground, staring straight at Jin Mo playing ball, a faint smile on his lips.

The look in Jin Baiyan’s eyes as he looked at Jin Mo revealed deep affection!

Jin Mo’s tears couldn’t stop flowing out!

So, it wasn’t that his brother hadn’t expressed himself, but that he hadn’t turned around to see it!

Or rather, his brother always revealed his true feelings without reservation when he couldn’t be seen.

“Hey, is there a clue hidden in this painting?” Xu Jiahao pushed Jin Mo and asked.

Jin Mo nodded vigorously, his voice slightly choked. “Mm, it’s hidden!”

Xu Jiahao was instantly shocked. He looked at the painting from left to right, examined it for several minutes, but still couldn’t see anything. Finally, he sighed.

“As expected, the clues your brother left behind can only be seen by you!”

Jin Mo reached out and wiped his face, chuckling softly. “It hides my brother’s love for me!”

Xu Jiahao’s hand went limp, and he “thudded” and sat directly on the ground.

    “What the hell?”

“This is the second time my brother has secretly confessed to me! He wants to tell me that he had fallen hopelessly in love with me a long, long time ago!”

As Jin Mo spoke, he carefully collected the paintings one by one.

Xu Jiahao was suddenly showered with sugar again!

“Your brother’s methods are really clever, no one can stand it!”

Jin Mo laughed and retorted, “My brother is too lazy to spend any effort on other people!”

Xu Jiahao “Hmph”ed through his nostrils and got up from the ground.

“Get lost, don’t spread sugar in front of me, a single dog…”

Before Xu Jiahao could finish speaking, Jin Mo grabbed his shoulder.

“You have to be careful, don’t say that word in front of my brother, otherwise, I’ll deduct your salary!” Jin Mo said in a sinister tone.

Xu Jiahao shuddered, revealing a knowing smile.

“This wouldn’t be your brother’s taboo, would it!”

Jin Mo snorted, ignoring him, got up on his own, and began searching for the clues his brother had left behind.
