ATBWSTBP Chapter 14
by VolareChapter 14: Spoiled by Jin Baiyan
Jin Mo finished breakfast, and before seven o’clock, Jin Huaiyang’s phone call came.
“Little Mo!”
“Uncle Jin!”
“Any news about Baiyan?”
“Currently, we’ve tracked him leaving Kun City and getting off the bus in a village called Zhaojiaping. Brother Feiwu and the others have already gone there!”
“Good!” Jin Huaiyang on the other end of the phone was silent for a moment. “Then, have you found out why Baiyan is like this?”
Jin Mo didn’t speak.
“Little Mo?” Jin Huaiyang urged.
“Uncle Jin, to be honest, I don’t want to tell you the reason!”
Jin Huaiyang’s tone on the other end of the phone suddenly rose.
“Why? I’m his father!”
“I know you’re his father, and Jin Mother is his mother, but ask yourselves, have you ever truly cared about my brother?”
Jin Huaiyang paused for a moment, then sighed.
“Little Mo, I understand what you mean! But, you don’t know, families like ours are wrapped in benefits from birth. Take the current Jin Corporation for example, if it weren’t for my father sacrificing an arm to survive and completely separating the company’s operations early on, letting the three of us brothers be responsible for different companies, Jin Corporation Manufacturing would have gone bankrupt long ago!”
Jin Mo didn’t speak, understanding in his heart, but feeling sorry for his brother.
“But, don’t worry, last night, I talked to your Jin Mother, and we reflected on things. We both realized our mistakes! The company’s shares are important, but Baiyan is also very important to us!”
Jin Mo’s eyes were a little wet.
He knew that for Uncle Jin to say such words was not easy.
“Uncle Jin, if my brother can come back, I hope you can give him more love. He’s already a bit withdrawn and his spiritual world is very barren. It’s because we care about him too little that he developed a mental illness, and he didn’t dare to tell us, so he could only hide it secretly by himself!”
On the other end of the phone, Jin Huaiyang’s breathing suddenly became rapid.
“You said Baiyan has a mental illness?”
“Yes! Symptoms appeared two and a half years ago, and he even went to a clinic for treatment. We, as his family, didn’t know! Haha, what a failure!”
“Symptoms appeared two and a half years ago? How is that possible? In these two years, he’s been at the company…”
“Uncle Jin, are you trying to say that he’s been doing well at the company, right?”
“Yes! Although I’ve been to the company less often in the past two years, I still attend large commercial gatherings or negotiations, and I think he handles them with ease! How could it be…”
Jin Mo held the phone, staring blankly at the tissue box on the table.
“I’m sorry, Uncle Jin, I shouldn’t blame you,” Jin Mo took a deep breath. “Actually, when it comes down to it, it’s all my fault! If I hadn’t had a temper tantrum with my brother three years ago, he wouldn’t have gotten sick!”
Hearing this, Jin Huaiyang was also silent for a while.
“Three years ago, I forced Baiyan to get engaged. I threatened him with you, saying that if he didn’t agree, I would send you abroad, so he wouldn’t be able to find you in this lifetime. Until the end, he didn’t compromise!”
Jin Mo was stunned!
“My brother didn’t agree until the end?”
“No! It was always your Jin Mother and I talking to ourselves. The words you heard when you went back to the old house were also deliberately said for you to hear, hoping to find a breakthrough from your side. Unexpectedly… sigh!”
Jin Mo chuckled coldly twice. He and Jin Baiyan were both fools.
“On the day of the engagement banquet, we originally wanted to tie Baiyan over, but he directly held a knife to his neck, saying that if we wanted him to go, unless he died! So, the engagement banquet was just a joke. Without the male lead appearing, how could there be an engagement! Pei Qingqing couldn’t take the blow and went abroad the next day!”
Jin Mo’s tears couldn’t stop flowing out!
His heart ached.
What was all this!
Why couldn’t the truth have been revealed to him sooner? Why did it have to wait until his brother disappeared before things surfaced one by one?
Was this God’s punishment for him!
Punishing him for his self-righteousness these past three years! Punishing him for not caring about his brother these past three years! Letting him also taste what heart-wrenching pain was!
God, you’re ruthless enough!
“Little Mo, we didn’t expect things to turn out like that in the end! You were in the hospital ICU in a coma for a month, with one critical condition notice after another being sent out. Baiyan was almost inseparable, guarding the door. In just one month, he lost more than twenty pounds. After you woke up, he didn’t dare to see you. Every night, he would sit in the yard in a daze, sitting for most of the night! At that time, your Jin Mother and I realized one thing, you are more important to Baiyan than his own life!”
Jin Mo covered the phone with his hand, a little choked with sobs.
“Little Mo, your uncle and aunt want to say sorry to you. But please don’t give up on Baiyan, only you can help him!”
Jin Mo put down the phone and said, “I will find him!”
“Good, thank you! Don’t worry about the company’s affairs, I will do my best and won’t let you be distracted!”
“Okay!”
After hanging up the phone, Jin Mo couldn’t hold back any longer, covering his face with his hands, tears constantly pouring out from between his fingers!
Jin Ze sat down opposite him and poured him a glass of water.
“Little Mo, have some water!”
Jin Mo wiped his face hard, reached out, took a few tissues from the tissue box, and wiped away his tears.
He picked up the glass and took a few big gulps.
“Now is not the time to cry, finding Baiyan is the most important thing!” Jin Ze reached out and patted Jin Mo’s shoulder.
“Yes, crying is useless, finding my brother is the priority!” Jin Mo exhaled forcefully. “But, my heart is so uncomfortable, stuffy, dull, and it stings from time to time. It’s been like this since yesterday!”
Jin Mo covered his heart, lie lying on the table, his eyes red.
“That’s because you’re feeling sorry for Baiyan!” Jin Ze smiled. “Now you know how willful you’ve been these past three years, right!”
Jin Mo pouted and nodded vigorously.
“Ever since you had a tantrum with Baiyan and ignored him, he’s become more and more silent, not speaking unless necessary.
Sometimes, when I get up in the middle of the night, I can see him sitting alone on the balcony, not knowing what he’s thinking!
I always have the feeling that he’s going to jump down.
Every time I advise you, telling you not to avoid your brother, to talk to your brother more, to come home to live on the weekends, did you ever listen to me?
I wanted to tell you about what happened on the day of the engagement banquet, but every time I opened my mouth, you would interrupt me very irritably, and then you wouldn’t want to talk to me for weeks. How could you be so stubborn!”
Jin Mo’s head was almost buried in his arms.
“I thought you wanted to tell me that my brother was already engaged and that I should let go of my obsession with my brother, so… I didn’t want to listen to you!” Jin Mo muttered softly.
Jin Ze was so angered by Jin Mo’s words that he was speechless for a long time.
“You have to change this bad temper!”
“Oh!”
“Sigh, I wonder who spoiled you with this bad temper?”
Jin Mo was silent for a moment, then replied in a low voice, “Jin Baiyan spoiled me!”
Jin Ze couldn’t help but laugh.
“That’s right, Baiyan spoiled you, and in the end, he’s the one suffering!”
Jin Mo hummed twice, not arguing anymore.
Whoever spoiled him, let them clean up the mess!
Jin Mo couldn’t help but shout in his heart.
Brother, come out and clean me up!
