Chapter 104: A Week Flits By

Jin Mo had a night full of “nightmares.”

In his dream, he shrank into a little baby.

Snot dripping, he rolled around in a wet wheat field.

Rolling until he was covered in mud, unable to see any resemblance to a human, like a mud figure.

A miniature version of Jin Baiyan sat on the ridge of the field, constantly laughing.

He woke up again and again, only to have the same scene repeat after falling back asleep.

He woke up early the next morning, and the thought of the dream made him feel utterly hopeless.

He hugged Jin Baiyan, wanting to wash away the memory from his mind.

It seemed he wasn’t an abandoned child after all, but a lucky kid lost by careless parents!

If his parents hadn’t been careless, how could he have tumbled into Jin Baiyan’s arms?

And how would Jin Baiyan have found him again at the orphanage?

    Everything was the best arrangement!

Jin Mo used to feel inferior about being an abandoned child, but now, with Jin Baiyan, he felt that the heavens had been kind to him. All the things in the world combined couldn’t compare to one Jin Baiyan.

“Jin Baiyan!” Jin Mo moved and looked up to meet Jin Baiyan’s lowered gaze.

“Mm,” Jin Baiyan replied, his voice still a little sleepy.

“Even if I was ten times dirtier, I would still roll down to find you!”

Jin Mo thought for a moment and said with a solemn expression.

Jin Baiyan was stunned at first, then let out a slightly hoarse laugh.

He raised his hand and rubbed Jin Mo’s face.

    “Not dirty!”

Jin Mo didn’t believe it; after rolling around in the muddy field countless times, how could he not be dirty?

“Even if I’m dirty, I’ll still go find you!” he insisted again.

Jin Baiyan nodded, his eyes gleaming brightly in the dim room.

“Even if you’re dirty, I want you!”

Jin Mo was finally satisfied and nestled back into his embrace.

“Even if I’m ten times dirtier, you can’t dislike me!”

    “I won’t dislike you!”

    “Hehe!”

They hugged each other a little tighter.

It was still early, so they went back to sleep for a while.

When they woke up again, they had missed their running time. Jin Baiyan felt like he was falling apart!

At breakfast, Jin Mo told Zhao Chengxi his idea.

“You want me to take him back to Kun City?” Zhao Chengxi said vaguely while drinking his porridge.

“Yeah, take him to Jin Uncle. I told Jin Uncle last night to take Little Dog to the hospital for a checkup to see if there’s any treatment for his ears.”

Zhao Chengxi looked at Little Dog, who was quietly drinking his porridge, and hesitated.

“Won’t he think I’m going to send him to a welfare home?”

“How did Little Dog communicate with people before?” Xu Jiahao interjected.

    “Who knows?”

Jin Mo thought for a moment, swallowed the porridge in his mouth, and picked up the paper and pen beside him to start drawing.

In the first picture, he and Jin Baiyan were holding hands with a child, whose hair was sparse, obviously Little Dog.

In the second picture, Little Dog was being led by Zhao Chengxi to the door of a large house, where a kind old man stood.

In the third picture, the old man was taking Little Dog to a house with a “+” symbol.

In the fourth picture, a doctor in a white coat was examining Little Dog with a stethoscope.

In the fifth picture, he and Jin Baiyan were picking up Little Dog from the hospital with the “+” symbol.

The drawings were rough, but very expressive; you could tell who was who at a glance.

For example, Jin Baiyan was a tall, expressionless figure; he was a smiling handsome guy; Zhao Chengxi was holding handcuffs; Little Dog had sparse hair and thin limbs…

The few guys understood at a glance, but whether Little Dog could understand was questionable.

After finishing the drawings, Jin Mo pushed them in front of Little Dog and began to explain patiently.

Little Dog first looked at Jin Mo with a surprised expression, then looked down at the drawings as he pointed and gesticulated.

Ten minutes later, Jin Mo thought he had explained everything clearly, but when he met Little Dog’s blank eyes, he felt like a failure.

His face fell, his shoulders slumped, and he leaned into Jin Baiyan’s arms, letting out a dejected “Awoo.”

    The others laughed along.

“Did he understand?” Xiao Feiwu asked, laughing.

Xu Jiahao shook his head. “I bet he didn’t understand! You think everyone’s like Jin Baiyan, with a natural gift!”

“Forget it, stop explaining, just take him away!” Zhao Chengxi sat in his chair with a “this is a waste of time” expression.

    Jin Baiyan’s lips curved slightly!

In the end, Little Dog left with Zhao Chengxi, and no one knew if he understood anything.

Jin Mo gave him a phone and taught him how to answer video calls.

As soon as he got in the car, Jin Mo made a video call to him.

The video stayed on the whole way, until he was delivered to Jin Uncle.

Jin Uncle took Little Dog to Jin Mo’s room and showed him the photo of Jin Mo on the table.

Little Dog’s tense face finally relaxed.

Although he was young, he understood that only homes displayed your photos.

He knew that this was that uncle’s home, and he was now back in his uncle’s home.

Every night, Jin Mo would have a video call with Little Dog, without saying a word, just looking at each other to reassure him.

Li Mengyao failed to get through to that phone number for several days in a row, and finally gave up!

After being lectured by Ruan Ying, Pei Qingqing hid in her room for two days to reflect, and finally had to admit that she was a loser. Without Ruan Ying, she wouldn’t accomplish anything even in twenty years.

After leaving her room, her attitude towards Ruan Ying improved a lot.

The atmosphere between Xiao Feiwu and Xu Jiahao became stranger day by day.

    Even Jin Mo noticed it.

“What’s going on between you and Feiwu Ge?”

One day, when Jin Baiyan was cooking and Xiao Feiwu wasn’t around, Jin Mo grabbed Xu Jiahao and asked with a puzzled look.

Xu Jiahao pretended to be stupid. “What? Nothing’s going on!”

“Tsk, who are you kidding! If nothing’s going on, why is he clinging to you all day long, and acting all coy every now and then? It’s not like I just met him; when has he ever been so weird?”

As Jin Mo spoke, he let out a “wow” sound. “You didn’t really turn him gay, did you!”

Xu Jiahao’s face turned red instantly.

“What nonsense are you talking about? What gay or straight? I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

Jin Mo understood at a glance, and smiled mischievously.

“Don’t pretend! You’ve caught people cheating before! What don’t you understand! Hey, tell me, what’s your deal?”

Xu Jiahao stood up to leave, but Jin Mo grabbed him. “Don’t try to leave; tell me, who’s on top and who’s on the bottom?”

Xu Jiahao glared at him. “What about you and Jin Baiyan? Who’s on top and who’s on the bottom?”

Jin Baiyan’s hand, which was stir-frying the vegetables, shook, and he almost poked a hole in the pot.

Jin Mo shook his head and pretended to be mysterious.

“That depends on Jin Baiyan’s choice! If he’s on top, I’m on the bottom; if he’s on the bottom, I’m on top. I can adapt to him in every way!”

Jin Baiyan’s face turned completely red, and his head was almost smoking.

These days, the two of them were constantly affectionate, and the redness of their lips never had a chance to fade. The Venus special craftsmanship was often brought out, but as for the final step, they were still in an unlocked state.

Jin Mo’s sleepiness persisted. He looked rosy and healthy, but Jin Baiyan was always uneasy.

No matter how much Jin Mo teased him, he could remain calm at the last moment.

Jin Mo knew Jin Baiyan’s concerns, but felt he was very healthy and that everything was just an overreaction.

Xu Jiahao looked away, his face red.

If he really got together with Xiao Feiwu, who would be on top and who would be on the bottom? Did he even need to ask!

Jin Mo patted Xu Jiahao. “With that little body of yours and your weak stamina, it’ll be hard for you to be on top even if you want to!”

Xu Jiahao’s usually nimble tongue seemed to be tied in a knot, unable to say a word. He glared at Jin Mo and turned to leave the small dining room.

Jin Mo let out a “Gagaga” laugh at Xu Jiahao’s fleeing back.
