    Chapter 65 Bai Xian’s Memories

    Chapter 65 Bai Xian’s Memories

Xiao Feiwu and Xu Jiahao were practically racing against the clock as they ate.

The food was indeed delicious, but they really didn’t have time to savor it.

The two rushed to the tree outside Li’s Farmhouse, only fifteen minutes after they had left.

The skinny, tall guy behind the wooden window hadn’t even had all his dishes served yet.

Xiao Feiwu bit his lip, regretting not having another bowl of soup!

Xu Jiahao also looked regretful, wishing he had eaten a few more bites of the dishes!

The two exchanged a look, sighed in unison, and retreated behind the tree.

“Should you send Jin Mo a message and ask what he thinks?”

Xiao Feiwu pondered for a moment, then nodded. “Okay, I’ll ask!”

With that, he lowered his head and began composing a text message to Jin Mo.

He couldn’t send a voice message with Bai Xian around.

At this moment, Jin Mo and Bai Xian had just finished eating, and Bai Xian had gone to throw out the trash.

Jin Mo heard his phone vibrate, opened it, and glanced at it.

Xiao Feiwu: Little Mo, there’s a guy who doesn’t look like a good person asking about Bai Xian. I reckon it’s those guys from the van. Little Xu and I are getting ready to tail him.

Jin Mo was taken aback and glanced towards the doorway.

“Okay, do what you think is best. Anyway, don’t let him get away. If it really comes down to it, grab him first! Oh, right, use a hood!”

Xiao Feiwu replied with an “OK.”

Jin Mo heard Bai Xian’s footsteps and put down his phone.

They had been searching for days and couldn’t find anyone, but good heavens, the guy actually came to their door!

Bai Xian threw out the trash and walked in from the doorway, immediately noticing Jin Mo staring at him, a faint smile involuntarily flickering across his face.

“What are you looking at?” Bai Xian walked to Jin Mo’s side, raised an eyebrow, and asked.

Jin Mo reached out, pulled Bai Xian down to sit, and gazed at his face.

After a few days of applying medicine, the injuries on Bai Xian’s face had mostly healed, and the scabs were starting to fall off.

However, a scar remained after all!

Jin Mo sighed and gently touched Bai Xian’s wound.

“I’m afraid this scar will be hard to get rid of!”

    Bai Xian chuckled softly.

“You’re already disfigured and you’re still smiling!” Jin Mo glared at him, then pulled open his collar to look at the wounds on his back, which were also starting to scab over.

The corners of Bai Xian’s mouth remained slightly upturned.

“Bai Xian, tell me how you got the wound on your face, okay?”

Jin Mo drawled out his words, gently tugging on Bai Xian’s hem, wearing a pleading expression.

Bai Xian was first taken aback, then leaned closer to Jin Mo, his voice low.

“Want to know?” His warm breath tickled Jin Mo’s ear.

Jin Mo felt a surge of emotions, desperately wanting to wrap his arms around Bai Xian’s neck and get intimate.

Facing Bai Xian’s approaching face, Jin Mo suppressed the wild thoughts in his heart and nodded.

“Yes, I want to know! I can’t even bear to see you frown. Damn it, who dared to disfigure you!”

Bai Xian chuckled softly, stood up, and sat back in his chair.

Jin Mo stared at Bai Xian with anticipation.

His biggest goal was still to get Bai Xian to talk more and communicate with him more.

He didn’t expect to return to the way things were three years ago when Jin Baiyan would talk to him about everything, but at least he could stop him from hiding his emotions.

Bai Xian’s gaze also fell on Jin Mo’s face.

Jin Mo gave him an encouraging look.

“Bai Xian, you can do it!”

Bai Xian gave a wry smile and ran a hand over his forehead.

“It was just… a scratch!” Bai Xian moved his lips and uttered seven words.

“Who scratched you?” Jin Mo’s body instantly straightened.

“A tree branch!” Bai Xian curled his lips into a smile.

Jin Mo clearly didn’t expect this answer, and his whole person was stunned, his mouth slightly open, his eyes wide, looking truly comical.

Bai Xian lowered his head and let out a soft laugh.

“Bai Xian, are you kidding me?”

Bai Xian looked up, the smile still lingering at the corners of his mouth.

    “No, really!”

“Hmph, I don’t believe you!” Jin Mo pouted. “You clearly got on that black car, how could you scratch yourself? It must have been those people.”

A hint of surprise flashed in Bai Xian’s eyes.

“See, I guessed it!” Jin Mo wore a “you can’t fool me” expression, humming and saying, “I had your injuries checked out the first day I saw them. You can’t fool me, even if you want to!”

Bai Xian couldn’t help but reach out and poke Jin Mo’s puffy cheek.

The softness at his fingertip made Bai Xian pause.

Jin Mo didn’t find it strange at all. Since childhood, his face had been Jin Baiyan’s favorite toy.

Happy, he would pinch his cheeks, unhappy, he would poke them, excited, he would rub them, and even when he was down, he wouldn’t let go of his face.

In short, his face was the best place for Jin Baiyan to express his joys, angers, sorrows, and pleasures.

Seeing Bai Xian staring blankly at his finger and not saying anything, Jin Mo felt a little strange and pushed him.

“Bai Xian, say something! Did I guess right? Did those people hurt you?”

Bai Xian’s eyelashes fluttered a few times, and his hand secretly retracted to his side, tightly clenched, as if wanting to permanently retain that touch.

    “No!”

Bai Xian’s thoughts drifted back to more than twenty days ago.

When he woke up in Tongmei, he didn’t know who he was, why he was there, or where he was going.

He was like a newborn, knowing nothing about the world or himself.

Fortunately, there was an ID card, a piece of paper, and a phone on the table.

He compared himself to the photo on the ID card and confirmed it was him.

He also looked at the paper.

The paper said that his name was Bai Xian, that he had an accident, and that he might have lost his memory, telling him not to be afraid. It also told him to leave Tongmei immediately after waking up and go to a guesthouse called “Slow Residence” in Forest Gate Village, as he was the owner of that guesthouse.

He didn’t know who left the letter, but out of instinct, he did as he was told.

After leaving Tongmei, he hailed a taxi, originally planning to go directly to Forest Gate Village, but the car broke down at the mountain pass!

The driver was also helpless! He begged him not to give him a bad review!

He gave him a good review on the spot, and the driver thanked him profusely!

However, he was also helpless after getting out of the car!

It was at the mountain pass, and it was the middle of the night, so he couldn’t get another car.

The driver said that this was the only road into the village, and he could walk and wait for a car.

He thought about it and figured, that’s right! Anyway, it wasn’t cold on a summer night, so he might as well walk slowly!

From just after twelve o’clock at night to just after five o’clock in the morning, his legs were about to break, and he still hadn’t seen a single car.

At that time, he was very calm about it. When he was tired, he would rest, and when he had rested enough, he would walk again. If he couldn’t get there in one day, he would take two days. He would get there eventually.

Just as he was about to rest again, a van came along and warmly invited him to get in!

It was naturally good to have a ride instead of walking, so he got in.

At first, the car was following the main mountain road properly, but after driving for less than five minutes, the car turned onto a small road next to it.

Bai Xian was only surprised for a moment, but he didn’t panic, and he didn’t even bother to ask.

He wanted to see what this person was up to.

At that time, he was neither sad nor happy, his emotions indifferent!

Even if he died, he wouldn’t care much, so why would he care if someone deliberately took him to a remote place?

Therefore, he smoothly allowed the van to take him to the meeting place that several partners had agreed upon.
