    New Strategy – Reward

“I’ll try a wave, you guys hide first.” Before Luo Yan and the others arrived, Cen Xi hadn’t found the opponent’s hiding place. It was as if the person who killed Wu Xinming didn’t exist in this game. He wanted to fire a shot to find the hiding spot of one of them. Dragging it out like this really wasn’t a solution.

“Brother, I’ll charge.” Luo Yan disagreed with Cen Xi’s idea. “Instead of hiding, we should attack head-on. They’re using an assassin-style approach, but we’re not. Being timid won’t allow us to fully utilize our strength.”

“People in the dark? Just force them out into the open, right?”

Luo Yan concluded. That’s just how he was, liking to charge straight ahead, bravely advancing.

“So, brother, shall we try it?”

Once, Luo Yan had always had a strategy when facing CS, but unfortunately, Li Yu, like most snipers, followed the assassin route, making this strategy completely impossible to implement. However, Cen Xi was different from ordinary snipers; he liked to challenge himself. He could handle both hidden and open sniping.

Moreover, when Luo Yan thought of this strategy, he thought of Cen Xi, not anyone else. Back then, regardless of whether Cen Xi left or not, every time he thought of a strategy, he would always picture Cen Xi. Furthermore, he always looked forward to fighting alongside Cen Xi again on the battlefield.

“You command, I’ll follow your orders.”

Cen Xi handed over the command position to Luo Yan without hesitation.

    “Okay.”

“Xinming, Xinshen, you guys go dark. Brother, find a large open space to set up your sniper, I’ll protect you.”

    “Alright.”

Playing as an open sniper, huh? It’s been a while since he’d played like that. Cen Xi twisted his neck, his spirit starting to get excited. Open sniping was very stimulating for a sniper. Snipers didn’t have the same agility as assault players, so everyone generally assumed that snipers hid in the shadows. Killing a sniper after finding them was a common understanding among all teams. Snipers dealt too much damage. Good ones could get a headshot in one shot, and even if they weren’t as good, they could still kill someone in two or three shots, unlike assault players who still needed to land an additional shot even after a headshot to kill someone. Exposing a sniper in a large open area was a guaranteed loss for most teams.

But Cen Xi could do it. Luo Yan believed in him, and Wu Xinshen and Wu Xinming believed in him too.

    ……

“Yan Yan, this strategy of yours is too risky!”

Although they won this round, Zhu Zi, who had been watching the whole time, was terrified. As soon as the round ended, Zhu Zi started to nag, but he was smiling.

“Yan Yan, I had so much fun playing!”

Wu Xinming on the side was different. After Luo Yan and Cen Xi lured out the opposing assault players, he, as an assassin-style assault player, had a blast. With the cooperation of the others, he took down a full three kills.

“But, if we want to use it in a real match, we still need to practice. We had a lot of mistakes this round.” As soon as the match ended, Wu Xinshen was already recalling the process of the match. They had a certain level of coordination, but since it was a new strategy, it was the first time for everyone, and there were obviously a lot of mistakes. It was fine for practice matches, but against the cunning Shi Hua, after catching them off guard, he would look for their weaknesses and attack them.

“It can still be improved.” Cen Xi found the round both tense and exciting. It had really been a long time since he had played as an open sniper. Fortunately, his skills were still there. “We’ll discuss how to improve it later. I’ll practice open sniping these next few days.”

    “So, the strategy was successful?”

Luo Yan looked at everyone with anticipation.

“Successful.” Zhu Zi spoke up. He paused for a few seconds before continuing, “But it needs to be improved. If you use this set to play against CS now, you’re at a 4, and they’re at a 6.”

“That’s good enough.” Luo Yan didn’t ask for much. As long as his idea was useful to the entire team, he was happy.

“Everyone take a break for a while. We’ll start the next round in 10 minutes.”

After speaking, Zhu Zi looked at Qing Lu, who was doing nothing and had been accompanying them all along. “Qing Lu, come with me for a moment.”

“Oh.” Qing Lu was stunned. He hadn’t expected to have anything to do tonight. “Oh, oh.”

He quickly got up and followed Zhu Zi out.

Luo Yan and Cen Xi exchanged glances, knowing what Zhu Zi had called Qing Lu out for. They didn’t interfere much. When they needed them to be persuaders, Zhu Zi would naturally let them go over.

Cen Xi picked up Luo Yan’s hand and started playing with it. Luo Yan didn’t mind and leaned directly on Cen Xi’s shoulder, squinting his eyes.

“Tired?” Cen Xi kissed Luo Yan.

“No, just want to lean for a bit.”

“You haven’t praised me yet.” After a few seconds, Luo Yan couldn’t help but say it. He met Cen Xi’s eyes, looking like a little baby wanting to ask their parents for praise.

“Hmm… Yan Bao is the most amazing. You can come up with such a good strategy. I, myself, am ashamed of my inferiority.”

After speaking, Cen Xi kissed Luo Yan’s lips and let go after a few seconds. They were still training and couldn’t get too carried away.

    “That’s your reward.”

Luo Yan was satisfied and quietly leaned on Cen Xi’s shoulder. After two or three days of thinking, the strategy was finally successfully implemented once. He felt as if he had finally let go of an obsession, feeling relaxed all over.
