    Before Rejoining…

    Before Rejoining…

After the two finished breakfast, they drove to the SY team’s base.

“Brother, sit in the car for a while, I’ll call you later.” Luo Yan unbuckled his seatbelt and tugged at Cen Xi’s sleeve. If Cen Xi, with his amnesia, were to barge into the base, he wouldn’t even have a chance to explain before being scolded to death by the Wu twins. Don’t let Wu Xinshen’s usual quiet demeanor fool you; when it comes to crucial moments, his tongue is even sharper than Wu Xinming’s. After all, they’re twins, born from the same mother, and their tongues are equally sharp, it’s just that one usually likes to hide it.

Although Cen Xi didn’t quite understand, he nodded, “Okay, I’ll wait for you.”

Luo Yan smiled at Cen Xi, got out of the car, and slowly walked towards the base. He needed to gather his thoughts during these few dozen meters to explain everything to Brother Xinming and Brother Xinshen. Cen Xi watched Luo Yan’s figure disappear from his sight, then picked up his phone and sent a message: “No need to look anymore, I already have a place I want to go.”

When Luo Yan pushed open the training room door, Wu Xinming and Wu Xinshen were duo-queuing. Luo Yan didn’t disturb them. He sat down at his computer, opened the game, opened his friend list, and once again stopped at the “X” account that had been dark for three years. “Finally, you’re coming back, my dear Xi Shen, brother.”

“Captain Yan, wanna team up?” Wu Xinming took off his headset and looked at Luo Yan, who was in a daze. “That assault player we just matched with was terrible. I don’t feel as much pressure playing casual games with Captain Yan.”

“No, thanks.” Luo Yan snapped out of his thoughts, walked up to Wu Xinshen, and gently tapped the table twice. Wu Xinshen immediately understood and took off his headset.

“Brother Xinshen, Brother Xinming, I have something to tell you,” Luo Yan thought for a moment and continued, “It can be summarized as one bad news and one good news, or it can be summarized as two good news, it depends on how you interpret them.”

Luo Yan’s words left Wu Xinming confused. “Yan, just get to the point, okay? As long as it’s not some shocking news like you leaving the SY team, I can handle it!”

After speaking, Wu Xinming looked at Luo Yan with an expression of resignation. Luo Yan turned to Wu Xinshen, who nodded, signaling him to continue.

Luo Yan took a deep breath, “First news, our team has a sniper now, with excellent skills. Although he hasn’t officially signed, I can guarantee that as long as you guys approve, he can join our team one hundred percent.”

Wu Xinming’s expression of resignation eased a little. “And then?”

“We all know this sniper, and the connection is quite deep.” Luo Yan glanced at the two of them and said the sniper’s name, “X.”

“Huh?” Wu Xinming and Wu Xinshen looked at Luo Yan with confusion after hearing this familiar name.

“Is it the ‘X’ we know?” Wu Xinshen’s voice trembled slightly; he needed a definite answer.

    “Yes.” Luo Yan nodded.

“Damn! What’s he coming back for! He hasn’t come back in three years, what’s he coming back for now! To laugh at us? If he left, he shouldn’t come back!” Although Wu Xinming’s tone was very harsh, not wanting Cen Xi to return, tears flowed uncontrollably. Everyone knew he was saying the opposite of what he meant. One of the reasons everyone stayed on the SY team was “X”.

“Where is he now?” Wu Xinshen’s expression was still relatively normal, but his clenched hands betrayed him.

“Outside.” Luo Yan looked at the door. “Brother Xinshen, Brother Xinming, calm down. Next, I’ll tell you the second piece of news.”

“Cen Xi, he has amnesia, he’s forgotten everything about the SY team. I can vouch for the amnesia.” Luo Yan simply stated the matter.

“What?” Wu Xinshen finally couldn’t hold it in. He punched the air hard; he needed to vent, but he suddenly realized that his outlet was gone. Amnesia, forgotten everything, forgotten them. Their three years of waiting had turned into air. Wu Xinshen’s eyes were bloodshot, but he didn’t shed a single tear, just stood there blankly, without saying another word.

Wu Xinming’s mood was similar to Wu Xinshen’s, but instead of venting, he turned and hugged Luo Yan. “Yan, you’ve suffered.”

The greatest blow from Cen Xi’s amnesia should have been Luo Yan. Everyone on the team knew what kind of relationship Luo Yan and Cen Xi once had. Wu Xinming suppressed his emotions and went to comfort the person on the team who was most looking forward to Cen Xi’s return.

Embraced by Wu Xinming, the grievances Luo Yan had been holding back in front of Cen Xi immediately erupted. He hugged Wu Xinming tightly, and both his shoulder and Wu Xinming’s shoulder were soaked.

When Luo Yan had cried enough, he gently pushed Wu Xinming away. “Brother Xinming.”

Wu Xinming smiled through his tears. His ability to accept things was always good. As soon as Luo Yan pushed him, he understood. “Got it, our Captain Yan has a partner again.”

“Then, Brother Xinshen, Brother Xinming, I’ll call him in.” Luo Yan said timidly, still unsure of Wu Xinshen’s mood.

“Captain Yan, go ahead. You don’t need to worry about my brother; he just needs to sulk for a while.” Wu Xinming patted Wu Xinshen, signaling him to control his temper.

    “Okay.” Luo Yan left.

“Bro, weren’t we always waiting for Brother Xi to come back? Now that he’s back, we should be happy.” Wu Xinming’s voice became softer as he spoke, and his emotions gradually became exposed: dejected, sad, and a hint of helplessness.

“But…” But what? Wu Xinshen didn’t know, but he has amnesia? Or, but we waited so long, and he never knew anyone was waiting for him?

“Bro, I know, but we have to be happy, don’t wear that long face, just do it for Yan. We’ll settle the score later.” Wu Xinming smiled; cunning was Wu Xinming’s trademark.

Wu Xinshen didn’t say anything more. He agreed with Wu Xinming’s words.
