    Cen Family Siblings’ Feast

    Cen Family Siblings’ Feast

Luo Yan and Cen Xi originally planned to spend a week of vacation holed up in their apartment, but Cen Yi, having somehow heard the news, directly summoned them home for a meal.

Almost two months later, Luo Yan once again entered the Cen family villa complex. He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Other people bought villas one at a time, but the Cen family was different, buying three at once. One was for Cen’s parents, but they hadn’t been back for who knows how long due to their world travels. The remaining two were for the Cen siblings.

This time, Cen Yi was hosting, so the meal was naturally held at her place.

Before the meal, the two went to Cen Xi’s own villa first. Although Cen Xi hadn’t been back for a while, servants came to clean the villa every few days, so Cen Xi wasn’t worried about it being uninhabitable.

The last time Luo Yan came, he was filled with anger and worry, and left with sadness and rage, so he hadn’t had a chance to carefully observe this small world that belonged solely to Cen Xi.

“Brother, is this you?” Luo Yan pointed to a photo on the photo wall. In the photo, a mud figure was standing in the garden, only the edges around its eyes were free of mud.

“This photo… how is it still here?” Cen Xi squinted, not wanting to face it, but unable to resist Luo Yan’s coaxing inquiry.

“There was a mud pit next to it at the time.” Cen Xi said, pointing to the far right of the photo, “My sister invited a bunch of friends to play blind man’s bluff at home. When they were deciding who would be ‘it,’ I happened to be passing by, and my sister grabbed me to do the labor, and then… while chasing people, I accidentally fell into the mud pit, sigh.”

Who understood Cen Xi’s sadness at the time? It was already sad enough to fall headfirst into a mud pit, but Cen Yi was on the side, leading a group of people laughing gleefully, and finally, she didn’t forget to take this historical embarrassing photo of Cen Xi.

“Hahahaha, brother, you’re so miserable.” Luo Yan imagined the scene and couldn’t hold back. After many years, there was another person laughing at Cen Xi’s tragic embarrassing history.

Cen Xi looked helplessly at Luo Yan, not interrupting his laughter. It was fine for his boyfriend to laugh, after all, they were family.

“What about this one? So handsome!” Luo Yan stopped laughing and took a liking to another photo. In the photo, Cen Xi was holding a stick and sprinting across the finish line on the sports field. He had less of the maturity he had now and more childishness. Even his jawline wasn’t as sharp as it was now, and he still had some baby fat, but that didn’t stop him from being handsome.

“High school sports day, relay race. I got… uh… I think it was first place. This photo was taken by my mom. Her photography skills have always been a thousand times better than my sister’s.” Cen Xi’s statement still implied his dissatisfaction with the “mud figure” photo taken by Cen Yi.

The two stood by the photo wall for a long time. Luo Yan asked questions, and Cen Xi answered them, until a servant urged them to go to Cen Yi’s for dinner, and Luo Yan reluctantly turned away.

On the way to Cen Yi’s, Luo Yan was still constantly recalling the photos and the interesting stories in them, as if he had participated in many, many things in Cen Xi’s life since childhood.

“Brother, you’ve been handsome since you were a kid.” Luo Yan exclaimed, hugging Cen Xi’s arm and carefully observing Cen Xi’s face. Although he had looked at this face countless times, “You’re the most handsome now!”

“It feels like you’ve been confessed to many times, brother.”

“Living in peace but being mindful of danger, Yan Bao?” Cen Xi suddenly stopped, and Luo Yan followed suit. “You’re my first love. I, Cen Xi, belong to you for all eternity.”

Cen Xi’s official announcement was: X will always follow Luo, and I will belong to Luo Yan for all eternity @sy.Luo.

Hearing it felt different than seeing the words. Hearing it was often more moving because it not only had the words but also the sincerity of the speaker.

    “I’m also your person, brother.”

    Luo Yan kissed Cen Xi.

X is Luo’s light, and I am Cen Xi’s person for all eternity (So, brother, please be careful to keep yourself pure) @sy.x.

sy.x: Received! Yan Bao, you are my empress, and I will only have an empress.

The two dawdled on the road for a while before slowly walking to Cen Yi’s.

“Sister, brother-in-law.” Cen Xi walked in and saw the two on the sofa, naturally taking Luo Yan over. The two squeezed onto the small sofa next to them.

“So slow.” Cen Yi glared at Cen Xi and leaned her head on Fu Ce’s leg. Her legs were slightly bent, and she reached her hand back, “Pull me up.”

Hearing Cen Yi’s voice, Fu Ce took Cen Yi’s hand and pulled her into his arms. He put the shoes, one on the left and one on the right, on the ground neatly and placed them in front of Cen Yi. Cen Yi got out of Fu Ce’s arms, put on her shoes, and reached her hand out to Fu Ce again. Fu Ce took Cen Yi’s hand and stood up without using her for support.

Then he walked to Luo Yan and snatched him away in front of Cen Xi. “Yan Yan, little treasure, let’s go, sister will take you to eat. I asked Cen Xi what you like to eat, and I had the nanny make some for you. See if it suits your taste.”

Cen Xi smiled dejectedly. What a sister! He followed their pace.

The four ate harmoniously at the dining table. Cen Xi and Luo Yan sat on one side, and Cen Yi and Fu Ce sat on the other.

Most of the dishes on the table were Luo Yan’s favorites, and some were Cen Yi’s favorites. Fu Ce didn’t say a few words throughout the entire process, constantly putting food in Cen Yi’s bowl until it was full, but in the end, most of the food in Cen Yi’s bowl ended up in Fu Ce’s bowl because Cen Yi couldn’t eat any more.

“Eat more.” Cen Xi said as he put food in Luo Yan’s bowl, occasionally feeding it directly into Luo Yan’s mouth.

“Mm.” Although Luo Yan had met Cen Yi, he hadn’t met Fu Ce, so he was still a little nervous.

“That’s right, I haven’t introduced you to Yan Yan, little treasure, this is!” Cen Yi grabbed Fu Ce, who was picking up food, and naturally put her cheek against Fu Ce’s cheek, “My husband and important partner, Fu Ce. You can call him brother-in-law like Cen Xi.”

“Sis… brother-in-law, hello.” Luo Yan put down his chopsticks and greeted Fu Ce in a very restrained manner, “Cen…”

“Brother-in-law, let me introduce you. This is Luo Yan, my boyfriend.” Cen Xi cut in to introduce Luo Yan.

Luo Yan retracted his words and breathed a sigh of relief. An I-person would say as little as possible.

“Hello.” Fu Ce smiled at Luo Yan in friendly acknowledgement.

The entire meal consisted of Cen Xi and Cen Yi chatting casually. Fu Ce didn’t talk much to begin with, and Luo Yan was still in a socially awkward phase.

After the meal, Cen Xi and Luo Yan immediately slipped back to their own house. Luo Yan lay in the room that Cen Xi had been lying in since he was a child, and the feeling of tension and restraint finally relaxed.

“Yan Bao, actually, you can treat brother-in-law like air. He looks serious as hell on the surface, but in reality, he’s just a poker face. Just ignore him.” Cen Xi came out after taking a shower, wearing only his shorts. He went straight to bed, pulled Luo Yan into his arms, and gave Luo Yan advice, “My family is your family. Don’t be so nervous.”

Family. Luo Yan hadn’t heard this word in a long time.

“Mm.” Luo Yan replied, feeling deeply moved. I have a family again.

The week-long vacation passed quickly. Luo Yan and Cen Xi went to the hospital again to re-examine his hand. There weren’t any major problems, but he still needed to rest more. It was best not to train intensely for the next two or three weeks.

And Zhu Zi had adjusted his angry mood during this week and returned to his image as an emotionally stable coach.

“This week, we’ll restore our feeling, and we have to make up for the streaming time.” Zhu Zi looked at everyone’s online time this week and looked troubled. “Really, as soon as we said it was a vacation, it was a vacation. Everyone’s online time is shorter than the next.”

“In a week, we’ll resume formal training to prepare for the Winter Tournament…”

Winning the championship didn’t make the SY members proud, but added to their pressure. They trained even more diligently to strive for the next championship.

See you in the Winter Tournament!

    The end…

    (Short Story)

“Yan Bao, send me the WS match video you showed me last time.” Cen Xi was studying WS’s team style. There was a video he had seen with Luo Yan, but he couldn’t find it online.

“That training match video? It’s in that album of mine. Look for it.” Luo Yan took the tablet and threw his phone to Cen Xi.

Cen Xi opened Luo Yan’s phone with his fingerprint and found the video in the album. He opened the social software and typed “Brother” in the search bar…

    Brother

    Brother (Past)

Involuntarily, Cen Xi clicked on “Brother (Past),” looking at the chat history inside. His hands tightened as he gripped the phone. He read it from beginning to end, peeking around like a thief, afraid that Luo Yan would discover it.

A few days later, one morning, Luo Yan woke up and Cen Xi, who had been lying next to him, was gone. He opened his phone, his eyes widening in disbelief. A bunch of messages popped up on the social software, all from the same person—Brother (Past).

Luo: Brother, I miss you so much.

Brother (Past): (Quoting this sentence) I miss you too.

Luo: Brother, when are you coming back?

Brother (Past): (Quoting this sentence) I’m sorry, I’m in the hospital, I can’t come back for now, I’m sorry…

Luo: I’ve become the SY captain, but I don’t want to be. Brother, come back, the captain’s pressure is too much.

Brother (Past): (Quoting this sentence) It’s my problem. I shouldn’t have left without saying goodbye and thrown the pressure on you. You can hit me or scold me, but… you can’t break up with me.

Luo: Brother, I’ll always wait for you. Please come back…

Brother (Past): (Quoting this sentence) Thank you for being willing to wait for me, this broken person.

Cen Xi had recovered the account yesterday. Cen Xi had replied to the messages after Luo Yan fell asleep. Cen Xi hid in the bathroom, quoting Luo Yan’s messages one by one, replying to them one by one. The grown man huddled in the bathroom late at night, his eyes red, responding seriously, word by word, to every message that Luo Yan had sent him over the past three years.

After replying to the messages, the phone screen was already completely wet. Cen Xi took out a piece of paper and wiped the phone screen, but the more he wiped, the wetter it became. He looked through all of Luo Yan’s messages again and cried silently in the corner of the bathroom.

I’m sorry, Yan Bao, I’m late.

    I replied late.

I know I can’t make up for it anymore, but I still want to do this.

    I’m sorry…

Luo Yan couldn’t help but burst into tears when he saw the first sentence that Cen Xi replied. He lay on the bed, reading the messages from beginning to end, and finally couldn’t help but cry out loud. The base’s soundproofing was okay, so Luo Yan’s crying wouldn’t be heard.

After three years, he finally received Cen Xi’s reply. He felt relieved and touched. All the persistence in his heart was let go. Finally, all his emotions were concentrated in the tear-soaked pillow and disappeared.

He cried enough. The past was truly let go.

Luo: I want to hug you

    Brother: Coming right now.

    Luo: Goodbye.

    Brother (Past): Goodbye, Yan Bao.
