Chapter Index

Luo Yan simply recounted his memories to Cen Xi and mentioned wanting to talk to Li Yu.

Cen Xi’s expression darkened slightly. Although he knew that there was nothing between Luo Yan and Li Yu, he couldn’t shake off a strange sense of jealousy.

“I’ll call Li Yu and set up a time. I don’t know if they have time off.”

Luo Yan noticed Cen Xi’s jealousy and patted his hand to reassure him. However, this matter needed to be clarified, and Li Yu was the key to solving the mystery.

With his incredible efficiency, Luo Yan immediately took out his phone and dialed Li Yu’s number.

    “Captain Yan?”

“Li Yu, although I know it might not be a good time to contact you, there’s something I want to ask you,” Luo Yan said directly, getting straight to the point. “About something that happened three years ago.”

Li Yu paused for a few seconds. “What is it?”

“Let’s talk in person. Do you have time now?”

“I’m sorry, Captain Yan. We’re in training right now.”

“Hmm… okay, it was inconsiderate of me. I’ll ask Shi Hua when you guys have a break and then schedule a time with you.”

Just as Luo Yan was about to hang up, Li Yu suddenly said very urgently, “5 o’clock, the coffee shop next to the CS Base, is that okay?”

Luo Yan checked the time. It was 4 o’clock. It would take half an hour to get from SY Base to CS Base. They had time. “Okay.”

Upon hearing Luo Yan’s answer, Li Yu immediately hung up, as if not wanting to say another word to him.

    How strange, Luo Yan thought.

“Let’s go, brother,” Luo Yan said, taking Cen Xi’s hand. “You drive.”

“Okay.” Cen Xi wasn’t particularly interested in meeting his “imaginary love rival.” He had never really liked Li Yu and felt an inexplicable dislike towards him.

“Oh, right, send a message to Shi Hua. After all, we’re going to talk to someone from his team, and as a former teammate, if someone sees it, they’ll suspect Li Yu of leaking CS’s tactics to his old team.”

Luo Yan sat in the passenger seat, speaking while searching for Shi Hua’s contact information on his phone. Cen Xi fastened his seatbelt and glanced at Luo Yan, who wasn’t wearing one. It seemed he hadn’t even noticed.

Cen Xi unbuckled his own seatbelt and silently fastened Luo Yan’s for him. Luo Yan cooperated with Cen Xi’s movements but didn’t give him a single glance.

*Hua Ge*, there’s something I need to tell you. We’re going to talk to Li Yu about something that happened three years ago. Special circumstances, just letting you know in advance.

He’s outwardly forgiven me, but he’s still secretly angry inside, isn’t he? Only Yan Bao would think like this.

The revolution still needs continued effort, Cen Xi.

Cen Xi smiled, started the engine, and drove. Effort is effort, anyway, I’m prepared to spend my whole life on this one person. He can dangle me for as long as he wants.

After half an hour, Cen Xi and Luo Yan successfully arrived at the coffee shop next to the CS Base.

“Two gentlemen, what would you like to drink?”

“A latte, and a hot chocolate,” Cen Xi said, glancing at the menu. There wasn’t much that Luo Yan would drink. He didn’t like coffee, and the only thing he liked was hot chocolate.

    “Okay, please wait a moment.”

The two sat side by side, not saying a word, until the waiter brought the latte and hot chocolate.

“Yan Bao, want to try some?”

Luo Yan glanced at it, uninterested. He didn’t want to drink anything right now. Luo Yan shook his head and leaned directly against Cen Xi’s shoulder. It was comfortable to have somewhere to lean.

Okay, Cen Xi wouldn’t force him. He looked down at Luo Yan, who was playing on his phone. The weather was getting colder, and Luo Yan had worn a white turtleneck sweater. When he was in the car, Cen Xi couldn’t see Luo Yan’s neck, but now, looking down, there was something shiny on his previously bare neck. A ring. Luo Yan had put it back on sometime.

Cen Xi felt secretly ecstatic. He really wanted to kiss Yan Bao.
