    Solo training…

    Solo training…

After getting out of the car, Luo Yan calmed himself down before entering the SY Base. The competition was in full swing, and he couldn’t let his personal issues with Cen Xi affect everyone’s mood.

However, Luo Yan overlooked his swollen, red eyes. A whole night had passed, and the swelling hadn’t completely subsided.

So, as soon as he entered, everyone noticed that something was off with Luo Yan.

“Why are you crying?” Wu Xinming, seeing Luo Yan’s red and swollen eyes, hurried over to ask what was wrong.

“Huh?” Luo Yan hadn’t expected everyone to be looking at him with concern. Shouldn’t they be going straight into training after he returned?

“Your eyes are so red,” Wu Xinshen bluntly pointed out what was confusing Luo Yan.

“It’s nothing.” Luo Yan didn’t want to talk about this trivial matter. Cen Xi should recover from his injury and come back to continue playing in the competition. The competition wasn’t over yet, and he couldn’t leave before finishing. They would have to fight side-by-side later, and this little thing would affect everyone’s performance.

“Let’s train first.” Luo Yan sat down at his station. “The next match is about to start.”

“Luo Yan, you’ll play the entry fragger.” Wu Xinshen walked over to Luo Yan, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Coach Zhu Zi just said that in the next match, Cen Xi will be back to play. We’re going into solo training now, and tonight, Cen Xi will be online with us for four-man training.”

“Is he in any condition to do that?” Luo Yan couldn’t help but worry about Luo Yan. He was still in the hospital last night, and now he’s playing games tonight? Is his health okay?

“He?” Wu Xinming and Wu Xinshen exchanged glances. They both knew who he was referring to, but this tone, this way of addressing him… Did they argue again these past two days? So, Luo Yan cried? What happened?

“Never mind, let’s all train.” Luo Yan opened his computer before anyone could answer his question or ask the questions in their hearts.

    “Qing Lu?”

“Ah? What’s wrong, Captain?” Qing Lu, who had been standing behind Wu Xinshen, listening to their conversation in a daze, suddenly tensed up, like a student being called on by the teacher in class.

“Let’s do a 1v1. You can go dark or go bright, your choice.” Luo Yan could see that Qing Lu had a lot of room to grow. If possible, he wanted Qing Lu to support SY’s future. Qing Lu was still very young. He estimated that he would have to retire in another two years. Others didn’t know his physical condition, but he knew it himself. He wouldn’t be able to play until the normal retirement age for professional players. It was very likely that he would retire even earlier than Xinming. Qing Lu could replace him. He wanted to take advantage of the fact that his hands were still okay to cultivate Qing Lu.

“Okay, Captain.” Qing Lu quickly returned to his station, opened the game, and accepted Luo Yan’s invitation.

“Luo Yan will probably be playing very fiercely today. You should prepare yourself mentally.”

Just as Qing Lu was about to put on his headset, Wu Xinshen whispered in Qing Lu’s ear, then returned to his station and called Wu Xinming for a duo queue.

Qing Lu watched Wu Xinshen for a while as he put on his headset, then turned his attention back to his computer screen and immersed himself in the game.

As Wu Xinming had expected, Luo Yan was indeed playing very fiercely, but Qing Lu didn’t say anything. He knew that his captain was feeling bad, so he silently looked for opportunities to break through.

Luo Yan didn’t realize at first that he was playing more and more fiercely. By the time he realized it, they had already played five or six rounds.

Damn it, what’s wrong with you? Are you taking it out on him? Luo Yan glanced at Qing Lu and found that he didn’t have any annoyance or other expressions, only seriousness about the game.

Let’s finish this round first. Luo Yan’s focus returned to the game, and in that brief moment of distraction, Qing Lu seized the opportunity. Yes, by the time Luo Yan’s focus returned to the game, he was already dead.

Not bad. The corners of Luo Yan’s lips curled up slightly, his eyes showing appreciation for Qing Lu. Zhu Zi had found someone with great potential. He hoped that he could stay at SY in the future.

The round ended, and Qing Lu was the winner. This was also the only round that Qing Lu had won in these few games.

“Let’s take a break,” Luo Yan said, taking off his headset and looking at Qing Lu.

Qing Lu was wearing his headset and didn’t hear Luo Yan talking to him. Why hadn’t the next round started yet? Qing Lu looked up at Luo Yan in confusion, and saw that he was already looking at him, probably wanting to say something to him. He quickly took off his headset.

“Let’s take a break,” Luo Yan said again.

“Okay, Captain,” Qing Lu replied obediently.

“Haha, what are you doing? Acting like you’re facing a teacher.” Luo Yan was amused by Qing Lu’s attitude. He slowly walked behind Qing Lu and patted him on the shoulder. “Let’s go, we’ve been training for so long, let’s go out for a walk and relax.”

“Okay, okay.” Qing Lu stood up, looking at Luo Yan, a little at a loss.

“What’s wrong? I’m only three or four years older than you, not your elder, why are you so reserved?”

Luo Yan patted Qing Lu on the back. “If you want me to be your elder, I’m not opposed to it. Tell me, what do you want to call me? Uncle? Or Grandpa?”

“What are you doing? Luo Yan, Qing Lu calls me ‘bro’. If he calls you ‘uncle’ or ‘grandpa’, what’s up, you want your seniority to be higher than me and my bro?”

Wu Xinming, who wasn’t training very seriously, was successfully caught.

“Qing Lu, don’t listen to Luo Yan’s nonsense. You can call him ‘bro’ or just call him by his name. Don’t call him ‘captain’ all the time. You’re putting too much pressure on Luo Yan.”

That was indeed the case. The Wu brothers called him “Luo Yan” or “Captain Luo Yan,” which Luo Yan found acceptable. In Luo Yan’s view, “Captain Luo Yan” was a term of endearment from the Wu brothers, while Qing Lu directly said “Captain,” which made Luo Yan feel like there was a barrier between them. Qing Lu called everyone else “bro,” but when it came to him, it was just the word “Captain,” which felt like he was just going through the motions. Although Qing Lu might not have thought that way, Luo Yan just didn’t feel comfortable hearing the word “Captain.”

“Don’t listen to Xinming, I can actually be your elder, I don’t mind.” Luo Yan quietly moved closer to Qing Lu’s ear and said, “Let’s go, get out of here, your elder will take you to buy snacks.”

Qing Lu laughed. “Okay, Luo Bro.”

Although it wasn’t the official break time, the SY team’s captain still led the team’s substitute out to find food. It was a good thing that Zhu Zi wasn’t at the base, otherwise he would have scolded Luo Yan for not setting a good example as captain and for corrupting the children in the team. He would have to start watching Luo Yan train every day again (Luo Yan often sneaked out to find food during training (solo training), and the other members of the team turned a blind eye and didn’t care).
