HUFT Chapter 60
by VolareChapter 60
After listening to Gu Jingnan’s explanation, Fu Chaoyun looked in Chi Nan’s direction, his thin lips slightly parted as he slowly spoke.
“Really? What a coincidence, for me to see it. Why wasn’t it at any other time that you tripped on the table corner? Why only when I’m here?”
Fu Chaoyun leaned against the door frame, looking at Chi Nan and Gu Jingnan. He spoke without thinking, but the listener took it to heart. Chi Nan frowned slightly upon hearing these words. He could hear the hidden meaning in Fu Chaoyun’s words, which made Chi Nan feel uncomfortable. In his impression, Uncle Fu wasn’t such a harsh person. Now, he felt a bit at a loss, unable to say anything.
“Yes, what a coincidence. As soon as you came out, I tripped on the table. It proves that meeting you today was a mistake.”
Chi Nan directly retorted back to Fu Chaoyun and walked out of the courtyard with Gu Jingnan, leaving Fu Chaoyun alone in the courtyard, stamping his feet in frustration.
After Chi Nan and Gu Jingnan left, Chi Nan waited on the roadside for Gu Jingnan to drive the car out. While waiting, Chi Nan was kicking pebbles on the roadside, feeling bored, and thoughts began to surface in his mind.
A little man wearing white clothes, with an angel’s halo on his head, began to speak.
“You clearly like him. Why did you say that to him? You know he just wanted to tease you, but you turned around and snapped at him.”
Another little man wearing black clothes, holding a trident in his hand, also began to speak.
“Why is he allowed to do as he pleases, but I’m not allowed to defend myself? Gu Jingnan is my friend after all, and he criticized my friend in public. Shouldn’t I retaliate?”
The white little man changed his position and continued arguing with the black little man.
“You know he misunderstood. He was just concerned and spoke without thinking, which is why he said those words. Won’t you feel bad if you hurt his feelings by saying such things?”
The little man in black clothes raised his fist and waved it forcefully, saying with disappointment.
“What’s there to be sad about? He hurt my feelings first! My heart is now riddled with holes because of him. How can I have time to care whether he’s hurt or not? Fu Chaoyun is nothing!”
The two little men were fighting in Chi Nan’s mind, making Chi Nan feel disturbed and irritated.
“Stop it!”
Chi Nan shouted loudly, reaching out and waving, dispersing the somewhat gloomy air in front of him, and incidentally dispelling everything from just now, those unrealistic thoughts. The two people’s meeting could only be said to be a coincidence, and who knows when there would be another such coincidence.
Gu Jingnan quickly drove the car out. Chi Nan got into the car, fastened his seat belt, and they set off. Gu Jingnan seemed to know that Chi Nan wasn’t in the mood to talk much, so he put on some soothing music for Chi Nan and drove him home safely. After arriving home, Chi Nan said thank you.
“Take care of yourself. I’ll go first.”
“Okay.”
Just as he was about to close the door, Chi Nan wanted to tell Gu Jingnan that if there was no need, they shouldn’t interact too much. Chi Nan called out to Gu Jingnan.
“Wait a moment.”
“What’s wrong?”
Gu Jingnan turned his head and glanced at Chi Nan. Chi Nan wanted to tell Gu Jingnan, wanted to say those words about not interacting anymore, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it. After all, Gu Jingnan had helped him, whether it was at the hotel, or the time he was blocked at home and couldn’t go out, or this time when Gu Jingnan took him out to eat and relax. Every time, Gu Jingnan had helped Chi Nan. Chi Nan couldn’t bring himself to say that they shouldn’t interact anymore. However, their interactions had already caused Fu Chaoyun to misunderstand. He, although he knew that he and Fu Chaoyun would no longer have any relationship in the future, didn’t want Fu Chaoyun to misunderstand.
Chi Nan looked at Gu Jingnan at the door, sighed, and ultimately didn’t say it.
“It’s nothing. You also take care.”
Gu Jingnan heard Chi Nan’s words, smiled, said okay, and reminded Chi Nan to remember to find him if there were any problems he couldn’t handle. Chi Nan replied okay and closed the door.
Fu Chaoyun, while in the courtyard, watched Chi Nan and Gu Jingnan leave. He chased after them a couple of steps but then felt, who was he to do that? Chi Nan already had someone taking care of him. What would he be if he chased after them? If Gu Jingnan really treated Chi Nan badly, if Chi Nan suffered even a little bit of grievance in front of Gu Jingnan, he would definitely beat Gu Jingnan to a pulp.
Fu Chaoyun sighed. He couldn’t bring himself to eat this meal. He originally came out to relax with Xiao Yi, but instead of relaxing, his mood was getting worse and worse.
Fu Chaoyun was still in the courtyard when he received a call from Liang Sixu. At first, an unfamiliar number called Fu Chaoyun. Fu Chaoyun answered, and he heard Liang Sixu’s voice.
“Chaoyun, can you come see me? I’m feeling so unwell.”
Fu Chaoyun became even angrier upon hearing Liang Sixu’s voice from the other end. If it hadn’t been for Liang Sixu’s incident, would he and Chi Nan have broken up? Would that Gu Jingnan have taken advantage of the situation? Absolutely not! Now, Liang Sixu even had the nerve to call him. It was already being generous of him not to cause trouble for Liang Sixu.
“If you’re feeling unwell, go to the hospital. This isn’t a hospital, and I’m not a doctor. If you’re sick, call 120. This isn’t an emergency number.”
After Fu Chaoyun finished speaking, he hung up the phone directly. Liang Sixu’s other “Chaoyun” hadn’t even been uttered when the call was disconnected.
Liang Sixu looked at the disconnected screen, and his expression suddenly changed.
“Call him again, and tell him that I’m in the hospital, in critical condition. I don’t believe that Fu Chaoyun is such a heartless person.”
Liang Sixu lay in bed and threw the phone to the assistant beside him, telling the assistant to start calling Fu Chaoyun.
Liang Sixu’s head had been hurting more and more recently. If he couldn’t get Fu Chaoyun, he wouldn’t let anyone else get him either. Now that others couldn’t get him, he wanted to get him like crazy. He didn’t believe it, he didn’t believe that Fu Chaoyun had absolutely no feelings for him. Otherwise, why, after the incident was exposed, did he just send him abroad without anything else happening? That proved that Fu Chaoyun actually still had a bit of him, Liang Sixu, in his heart.
Thinking of this, Liang Sixu couldn’t help but raise the corners of his mouth. If he told Fu Chaoyun that he was in the hospital now, Fu Chaoyun would definitely rush over anxiously. After all, what he said in the hospital last time was just angry words. He understood Chaoyun, that was just venting about the childhood incident. Now he knew he was wrong, and he had decided to apologize to Chaoyun and admit his mistakes. Soon, they could return to being the close friends they used to be.
Liang Sixu thought so, and leisurely took an apple from the table next to him. Being injured was true, being hospitalized was also true. It’s just that yesterday when he was taking a bath, he was a bit out of it and saw a razor on the cabinet by the bathtub. He thought that a razor wouldn’t cut through his arm, so he experimented again and again. The first time it really didn’t cut through, but later, red blood slowly started flowing on his arm.
