Chapter 15

“So, what’s your impression of Fu Chaoyun now?”

Fu Chaoyun was on the phone while simultaneously logging into WeChat on his computer, directly messaging Little Zhu to inquire about the situation. Little Zhu handled things like Weibo operations and fan club matters, which Fu Chaoyun wasn’t very familiar with, so he went straight to Little Zhu.

Another issue that concerned Fu Chaoyun was, if he were to meet the little one one day and it turned out Uncle Fu was Fu Chaoyun, if Chi Nan’s impression of Fu Chaoyun was currently negative, would it affect their interactions in the future?

“Fu Chaoyun? He’s very handsome. I thought he was quite handsome when I was drawing him before.”

Chi Nan was puzzled, not knowing why Uncle Fu suddenly asked this question, but he answered truthfully. He did think Fu Chaoyun was quite handsome, both in drawings and in reality, especially since they had the good fortune of meeting once in person.

    “Anything else?”

    Fu Chaoyun asked.

    “Anything else?”

Chi Nan was confused. He hadn’t interacted with Fu Chaoyun, so how would he know?

“Like, about his personality or something.”

Fu Chaoyun spoke again, and Little Zhu also replied.

“I definitely don’t know about his personality. I don’t know him. Wait, why are you so concerned about Fu Chaoyun, Uncle Fu?”

Fu Chaoyun, Uncle Fu, Chi Nan exclaimed inwardly. Uncle Fu was so concerned about Fu Chaoyun, could he be Fu Chaoyun’s brother or some kind of uncle?

Chi Nan was originally slacking off, wondering why Uncle Fu was asking so many questions about Fu Chaoyun. Then, he thought carefully: Uncle Fu, Fu Chaoyun, they both have the surname Fu. Then all the bad things he just said about Fu Chaoyun were heard by Uncle Fu. If they knew each other, wouldn’t Chi Nan be extremely embarrassed?

“Uncle Fu, you don’t happen to know Fu Chaoyun, do you? Or, are you some kind of cousin of his?”

    Chi Nan asked cautiously.

Fu Chaoyun sighed softly and answered, “No.”

Hearing Uncle Fu’s answer, Chi Nan also breathed a sigh of relief.

    “That’s good.”

Fu Chaoyun didn’t say the rest of his sentence: I’m not Fu Chaoyun’s brother, and I’m not his uncle. I am Fu Chaoyun himself.

“I have some things to take care of here. I’ll reply to your messages later.”

“Okay, Uncle Fu, work hard. I’ll hang up now.”

    “Okay.”

After Chi Nan hung up the phone, he felt happier, without the dull feeling he had when logging into Weibo earlier.

After Fu Chaoyun hung up the phone, he took a good look at the messages Little Zhu sent. He found Little Zhu’s long essay a bit troublesome, so he directly called Little Zhu.

    “Hello, Brother Fu.”

“What’s going on with the Weibo thing I just told you about?”

Fu Chaoyun sat in his chair, holding the phone in his left hand, while his right index finger was unconsciously tapping the table. This was Fu Chaoyun’s most common action when thinking about things.

“One of your fans found an artist to commission a set of fan art of you and the fans, and posted it online. The pictures are of two men, with some rather ambiguous actions, equating you with homosexuality. It even became a trending topic. I just brought down the trending topic and plan to warn the blogger called ‘Nan Chi Ru Jiang’.”

“Why are you warning Nan Chi Ru Jiang?”

Fu Chaoyun frowned, his tone unconsciously carrying a bit of pressure.

“Because he drew the fan art of you.”

“It wasn’t him. His drawing was altered. Go see who altered his drawing. Also, tell the fans not to curse everywhere; it’s bad for my reputation. Go handle these two things first.”

    “Oh, okay.”

Little Zhu was confusedly assigned tasks. How did their aloof and great Brother Fu know that Nan Chi Ru Jiang’s drawing had been tampered with?

“Indeed, human joys and sorrows are not shared.”

Little Zhu lamented. Even if they weren’t shared, he still had to handle these matters first. It concerned their Brother Fu’s reputation. Little Zhu first logged into Weibo, gathered the big fans in the support group, and told them not to curse around anymore. Doing so before there were results would have a negative impact on Brother Fu.

As soon as Little Zhu finished speaking, someone immediately seconded the motion. Some of the big fans had already said to control the comments and stabilize the situation first, but some disobedient individual fans still ran around cursing everywhere. They had already been told. Little Zhu was very gratified and went to investigate another matter, namely the source of the original picture and who tampered with it.

Little Zhu worked hard to investigate, while Fu Chaoyun logged into his Weibo, which he hadn’t logged into for a long time, and posted a picture of the night scene, incidentally promoting himself. Now the fans’ attention was almost diverted. After Fu Chaoyun posted on Weibo, he chatted with Chi Nan. His sleep had improved significantly these days. He didn’t know if it was because the little one was talking to him every day, but his mood seemed to be getting better, and things were developing in a positive direction.

Little Zhu found out who had tampered with the original picture and was furious. Their rivals were actually using such despicable means to try to harm Brother Fu’s reputation.

“Brother Fu, I found out. Our rival bought a press release, hired someone to tamper with the drawing, and then bought some trending topics. That’s how it became the situation you see now.”

“You guys know better than I do how to do it. Go handle it.”

    “Okay, Brother Fu.”

The whole story had been found out, and Fu Chaoyun wasn’t so anxious anymore, so he called Chi Nan.

“Hello, Uncle Fu, have you finished dealing with work?”

“Yeah, I’m done. How about you? Is your mood better, after being cursed?”

“My mood got better when I talked to you, Uncle Fu. Thinking about that kind of thing, I even indirectly became a little famous.”

Chi Nan’s mood really got better when he talked to Uncle Fu. And thinking about getting upset for this kind of thing didn’t seem worth it.

“I was still saying that the sun rose from the west today. Uncle Fu actually took the initiative to call me and even cares about people.”

Chi Nan said with some teasing.

    “I, haven’t I called you before?”

Fu Chaoyun was puzzled. Hadn’t he called Chi Nan before? There should have been at least once, right? But in fact, Chi Nan had always been the one calling Fu Chaoyun. This was the first time Fu Chaoyun had taken the initiative to call Chi Nan.

    “Yes, just this time.”

After Chi Nan finished speaking, both of them laughed. Fu Chaoyun was afraid that Chi Nan was a little angry, so he called to care about Chi Nan.

“Do you know, I am a god from the East Sea. I have a magic wand. After I call you, something a little happier will happen to you.”

Fu Chaoyun didn’t quite believe what he was saying. He even searched online: “How to coax an unhappy little one.” And this result was also what the internet told him. Although it sounded very unreliable and didn’t match Fu Chaoyun’s identity at all, even Fu Chaoyun doubted it when he said it. Would anyone really believe such a thing?

“Pfft, what is it? Are you sure you’re not tricking a child?”

Chi Nan was really glad that he wasn’t eating anything, otherwise he would have accidentally spat it out. The way Uncle Fu joked so seriously, thinking about it, was very funny and immediately hit Chi Nan’s funny bone.
