    Internet Cafe – Training Room

    Internet Cafe – Training Room

The 9 o’clock alarm rang on time, and Luo Yan, uncharacteristically, didn’t linger in bed and also woke up Cen Xi.

At 9:50, Cen Xi and Luo Yan, having finished breakfast, appeared in the lobby. By this time, Zhu Zi was already sitting on the sofa in the lobby waiting for them, with a sleepy Wu Xinming sitting next to him.

At 9:59, Wu Xinshen, who was always early, arrived with Qing Lu right on time. For some reason, Qing Lu’s face was flushed.

    “Alright, everyone’s here, let’s go.”

Zhu Zi got up and led everyone to the training room. Wu Xinming kept slumping on the sofa, unwilling to move until Wu Xinshen pulled him up.

    “Bro, I’m sleepy…”

Wu Xinshen was helpless. He told Qing Lu to go ahead, then picked up Wu Xinming on his back and followed the main group. In short, he had to get him over there first.

    “Is Xinming-ge alright?”

Wu Xinshen caught up with Qing Lu, meeting Qing Lu’s worried gaze.

“Don’t call him ‘ge’, you’re higher in seniority,” Wu Xinshen retorted Qing Lu’s address, turning his head to look at Wu Xinming, whose eyes were dark. “He probably stayed up late last night. He’ll be fine, he’ll wake up as soon as we toss him onto the gaming chair.”

Wu Xinshen had observed over a long period that Wu Xinming would immediately force himself to wake up upon hearing game sounds.

    “That’s good.”

“Sister-in-law, can I… borrow my brother? Thanks.” Wu Xinming subconsciously mumbled, possibly having heard their conversation.

Wu Xinshen and Qing Lu exchanged glances after hearing Wu Xinming’s words and smiled.

After that, the two walked in silence behind Cen Xi and Luo Yan. Wu Xinshen occasionally turned his head to look at Wu Xinming. He had been stunned by Wu Xinming’s words, and now, the more he thought about it, the more confused he became.

    “Can I… borrow my brother?”

He felt that the distance between him and Wu Xinming had grown without him realizing it. His brother seemed carefree on the surface but was actually a child who severely lacked a sense of security. Their parents were busy with work, and he, as the older brother by an hour, had basically raised him from childhood. He could immediately sense Wu Xinming’s distance.

He had been neglecting him recently…

    Wu Xinshen thought…

Is it because I’m in love, so he doesn’t want to bother me? But aren’t older brothers meant to be bothered by their younger brothers? He had to find a chance to talk to him, or else he would build more and more walls between them, and no one would be able to find him later.

My brother’s subconscious distancing is really frustrating.

As Wu Xinshen had predicted, Wu Xinming immediately woke up upon hearing the game sounds and entered training mode.

In the past few days, there were few teams arrived, so the training rooms were sufficient. Later, more and more teams arrived, but the number of training rooms was not enough. The organizers required each team to send someone to draw for the right to use a training room for a day.

Zhu Zi went to draw for the first time and didn’t get it, so the whole team rested for a day. He went to draw for the second time and still didn’t get it…

“Damn it! Are they sick! Are they targeting us? Huh?”

“WSW hasn’t drawn it for two consecutive days either,” Luo Yan said, having just inquired about their situation with Shi Shi.

“Targeting our country’s teams?” Wu Xinming’s eyes were full of fighting spirit, and his tone was full of disdain for this kind of tactic. “Alright, let them open their eyes to the strength of the Chinese teams! China will take the champion and the runner-up!”

“Is there an internet cafe nearby?” Wu Xinshen asked. If there were no conditions, they would create their own.

“I’ll look,” Luo Yan and Zhu Zi said at the same time, taking out their phones and starting to search.

“No need to look, follow me.” Cen Xi picked up the coat that was draped on the bed, put it on Luo Yan, and pulled Luo Yan up. Luo Yan hadn’t even reacted before he was far away from the room.

The others were stunned for a few seconds before immediately following Cen Xi’s footsteps.

Although it had been a long time since he had been here, Cen Xi still relied on his memory to find a very small internet cafe next to the hotel. Cen Xi spoke to the internet cafe owner in fluent Korean. No one knows what Cen Xi said, but the owner was suddenly very excited, as if Cen Xi was a long-lost friend. The two even bumped fists.

My brother seems to be very familiar with this internet cafe. Luo Yan listened to Cen Xi speaking in a language he didn’t understand very well. Although he couldn’t understand it, he could feel that Cen Xi and the internet cafe owner were in a very good mood.

“Let’s go.” Cen Xi took a card from the internet cafe owner and led them upstairs. The upper floor of the internet cafe was a private room, like a hotel, and required a room card to open the door.

Cen Xi walked to the innermost private room, swiped the card, and entered the room. Inside the room were two long tables that were tightly connected, with three computers on each table, arranged neatly.

“This is the highest-configuration equipment in this internet cafe. Although it may not be as good as the hotel training room, it should be about the same.” Cen Xi casually found a place to sit down. “Let’s practice here for the next few days. If WSW wants to, I can help them talk about the private room across from us.”

In a foreign country, local teams seemed to be enemies, but they were actually more like teammates. It was right for teammates to help each other.

“Stop spacing out, find a seat and start training.”

Cen Xi opened the game, put on his headphones, and hurriedly urged his teammates, who were still standing motionless in the room.

    “Okay, okay, okay.”

    “Oh.”

    “Mm.”

    “Got it, Brother.”

Several people quickly took their seats and began training.

After a while, Zhu Zi waited behind Cen Xi for him to complete this part of the training, took off his headphones, and said a few words in his ear. Cen Xi went out for more than ten minutes before returning to continue training.

About twenty minutes later, Zhu Zi interrupted everyone’s training, “WSW is asking for a training match, three games in total. Luo Yan will play one game, and Qing Lu will play the remaining two.”

“Okay,” Luo Yan replied. He didn’t continue to fight for it. He was now training two more hours every day, and it didn’t matter to him whether he played in the training match or not. Playing might even increase the burden on his hand, so he had to take good care of it.

The training for the day ended quickly, and the training for the next day came quickly.

    Time passed quickly…

“Congratulations to SY for drawing Group A!”

“Congratulations to WSW for drawing Group B!”

The draw for opponents ended. In the first game, SY faced SSS from YD. According to the original plan, Luo Yan’s hand was rested first, and he did not play. Qing Lu replaced Luo Yan, and the game was won with a narrow escape.

“I’m sorry, I misjudged,” Qing Lu apologized to everyone after the game.

“Such a low-level mistake!…” Zhu Zi scolded Qing Lu excitedly, and finally waved his hand, “Forget it, luckily Wu Xinshen covered for you, and we won in the end.”

    “Almost a one-round exit.”

After Zhu Zi finished scolding, Wu Xinshen pulled Qing Lu into his arms to comfort him, playing the roles of the bad cop and the good cop.

“Winning is all that matters,” Wu Xinming approached Qing Lu. “Keep working hard in the next game. Everyone makes mistakes. Luo Yan and I have made more mistakes.”

Wu Xinshen glanced at Wu Xinming, but the words he wanted to say ultimately remained unspoken.

“Let’s go, go back and rest. The next game is probably PO from Y,” Luo Yan told everyone to pack up and leave the rest area.

At the hotel, Wu Xinshen comforted Qing Lu and then called Wu Xinming out. The two found a restaurant to eat alone.

“Bro, is it okay for you to leave Qing Lu alone in the room and come out to eat alone?” Wu Xinming enjoyed a bite of meat. “Let’s call Qing Lu out to eat together. This restaurant is pretty good.”

“Can’t I eat alone with you?” Wu Xinshen asked a question that caught Wu Xinming off guard.

Wu Xinming smiled flatteringly, “Sure, why not?”

During the meal, the two of them spoke no more than ten sentences. This was very different from how Wu Xinming used to be when he and Wu Xinshen ate together. Wu Xinming used to be like a machine gun, spitting out words one after another.

“Bro, when did we become so estranged? We’re eating a meal, and you barely say anything,” Wu Xinshen took a sip of red wine. “Is it because you think I’m hiding things from you? Is it because I don’t confide in you about anything?”

Wu Xinshen had been thinking about his own reasons for the past few days. To be honest, he didn’t know when it started, but he didn’t want to tell anyone his thoughts, not even his own brother. After reflecting for a few days, he thought that maybe he felt he had grown up, and as an older brother, he shouldn’t frequently bother his younger brother, as that would make him seem immature.

It was precisely because of this that the distance between him and Wu Xinming had grown. He originally thought it was related to Qing Lu, that the younger brother felt the older brother’s love was being divided, but after careful consideration, he realized that the reason was in himself.
