MTMIO Chapter 84
by VolareChapter 84: Predicting the Arrival of Winter
Chapter 84 Predicting the Arrival of Winter
The sudden ringing of a phone call interrupted the broadcast.
Lu You was stunned for a moment before quickly snapping back to reality. She gripped the sides of the ladder and climbed down, her slippers making a solid thud against the floor.
She moved her foot and looked down, seeing a small deer antler. Lu You bent down and picked it up, noticing up close that it had been broken once before, with traces of white glue around the edges.
Since her clothes had no pockets, Lu You casually placed it on the nearest shelf of figurines.
She walked to the desk and glanced at the screen, the caller ID displaying “Manman.” She pressed the answer button.
“I’m awake,” Bo Mingyan’s voice came weakly from the speaker, sounding as if she were still in a dream.
Two weeks ago, when she was chatting with Bo Mingyan, the assistant manager had sent her a message saying that the store had received a lot of good stuff, including various small night lights and two bottles of good wine from a customer. She casually used it as an excuse to meet up with Bo Mingyan.
Unfortunately, Bo Mingyan was too busy with work to find the time.
Once something is put off, it’s easy to forget.
It wasn’t until last night, when the assistant manager sent a message saying there were more good things, that Lu You remembered and contacted Bo Mingyan, finally setting up a gathering for today.
“Did your little Meng boss skin you alive?” Lu You looked around, her eyes landing on the pile of express delivery boxes in the entryway. She picked up her phone and walked over.
Bo Mingyan yawned and said, “She’s on a business trip.”
Lu You clicked her tongue twice and teased, “Still defending the capitalists.”
She bent down, picked out a small cardboard box, walked to the ladder, placed her phone on it, squatted down, and carefully picked up the broken figurine pieces.
Bo Mingyan was washing up on the other end of the phone. After the sound of water stopped, she explained unhurriedly, “She should be considered a leader working for her dream.”
“Got it, can’t say anything bad about your little Meng boss,” Lu You said with a smile. “It’s rare to see you defend someone like this.”
After another moment of silence, Bo Mingyan changed the subject directly, “Want to have lunch together?”
Lu You raised her hand and looked at her watch, “Let’s eat together. Is there anything you want to eat?”
“Nothing,” Bo Mingyan said. “Up to you, I’m easy.”
“I don’t know what to eat either,” Lu You thought for a moment and said, “How about self-heating rice at the store? I see the employees always post in the group chat saying it’s delicious.”
“Sounds good,” Bo Mingyan said. “I’m getting ready to leave.”
“Okay, see you later.”
After ending the call, Lu You tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, checked the ground for any remaining fragments, picked up the cardboard box, and stood up.
She placed the box on the ladder shelf, took a few pictures of the contents with her phone, and then ignored it, searching online for a repair artist as she walked back to the desk.
On the desk was the mother-daughter tote bag she had brought today, surrounded by a pile of things she had taken out of the bag.
Tablet, thermos, a small deer plushie for napping, steam eye mask, blue folder, umbrella…
Lu You only glanced roughly at the desk, because her phone vibrated, and the repair artist had accepted her friend request.
The repair artist said: 【Hello, I have two repair options here, see which one you need.
Option 1, restore it as much as possible for you. I can’t guarantee that there will be no traces, but I can only say that I will try to minimize them.
Option 2, if you don’t mind a re-creation, I will use re-spraying and decorative items to fill the gaps in the connection. This will be more expensive than the above.】
Lu You looked carefully at the words on the screen, and stuffed the things on the table into her bag.
After clearing the table, she replied: 【The second one.】
The repair artist sent an order link and address.
Lu You turned around the room, found moving film to carefully pack the figurine, and was about to put it in the mother-daughter bag when she realized that the bag was bulging and almost overflowing.
The phone screen, which had been off, vibrated and lit up on the table.
Bo Mingyan: 【Crossing the bridge, see you at Lost Deer?】
Lu You picked up her phone and replied: 【Okay okay】
She subconsciously reached for her phone, but her hand hovered over the top of the bag, unsure of what to do.
Lu You glanced at her watch, unbuckled the sub-bag from the shoulder strap, grabbed the express box, and hurried out the door.
The door opened and closed again, bringing in a gust of wind.
The gauze curtain in front of the lattice window was rolled up and spun around, letting in a faint ray of sunlight, which fell into the opening of the tote bag, slipped into the gaps, and traced the edges of the folder.
It supported a small patch in the dark, like the blue tone after sunset, or the sky just before dawn.
ˉ
After sending the express delivery, Lu You arrived at Lost Deer before the agreed time, unlocked the door, and went inside.
The wind chimes inside had been replaced with a half-curtain at some point. A fishing line ran through plastic notes, and as soon as the door opened, the notes were played by the wind.
A very creative design.
Lu You took out her phone to praise the curtain in the group chat, asking who made it.
The assistant manager replied to her: 【Sister Fei came up with the idea, and we all made it together [smug/]】
Lu You smiled, raised her hand, and grabbed a piece of “D.S.” from the marking repeat symbol, ready to take a picture.
A new message popped up on the screen.
The assistant manager privately messaged her: 【Sister Lu You, did you see that good thing?】
Lu You was stunned for a moment, moved her phone away, and in the gap of the D’s, she caught a glimpse of a corner of the stage.
Something was reflecting sunlight, sparkling.
Lu You focused her eyes and let go of her hand.
The swaying D.S. symbol blurred into a fish spitting bubbles in the afterglow. The bubbles floated in her mind, burst open, and stirred up circles of ripples.
More memories spread in the ripples.
It was the first day she moved into Yue Yunxi’s house, during that night when their hearts were close and their souls danced together.
They talked a lot, about the knot in her mother’s heart and the topic of piano…
——”Can you show me what that crystal piano looks like?”
Dyed with Yue Yunxi’s unique timbre, as warm and moist as if separated by mountains and mist, like a distant bell ringing in the depths of the forest.
Hovering in her mind, and then slowly falling into her ears.
In an instant, all the depression she had accumulated in the past few days was shattered into noise.
Lu You moved over.
A crystal grand piano, a completely transparent shell, reflected a warm and soft luster, and every internal structure was exquisitely presented. It looked like a large and precise ornament.
Pressing the keys, the touch was very good, and the tone was no less than that of a concert-level piano.
Long-distance transportation inevitably involved movement, and the notes were a little inaccurate, requiring tuning, but unfortunately she had no tools with her at the moment.
However, it did not affect playing.
She played a short section of Moonlight Sonata and recorded a video to send to Yue Yunxi.
[Deer]: 【Listen, the sound of money】
[Full Moon]: 【So beautiful.】
Yue Yunxi replied quickly, as if she had just happened to look at her phone when she sent the message, or as if she had been holding her phone waiting for her message.
Lu You thought of the latter, and her heart instantly softened into an unshaped mass.
[Deer]: 【Why buy this, it’s so expensive!!!】
[Full Moon]: 【Don’t like it?】
Lu You’s shoulders slumped heavily.
She couldn’t deny that she liked it.
[Deer]: 【Like it】
She liked it, but it was really expensive! Lu You typed in the input box.
Although it wasn’t her money, it still pained her. With so much money, Yue Yunxi could have bought herself a collector’s edition cello.
Before she could finish typing the line, new content popped up in the chat box.
[Full Moon]: 【Good if you like it.】
[Full Moon]: 【The international piano competition in Shencheng is your first competition to play the piano with both hands again, which is of great significance. I think no matter what the ranking is, it is a major milestone on your dream road.
So I wanted to use this as a reward?
Or it can be said to be a symbol of the milestone.
Considering the production time and transportation time, I originally thought it would be in time, but I didn’t expect a little problem with customs clearance, it’s a little late】
[Full Moon]: 【But good if you like it.】
I just want you to like it.
The phone screen was very bright, a more dazzling existence than the crystal.
Lu You tilted her head and lay on the piano, her cheek against the crystal piano lid, the touch was a little cool.
As a result, she felt more clearly that her cheeks were warming up in this moment of palpitation.
[Deer]: 【Bought it and secretly put it in the store without telling me, want to give me a surprise?】
[Full Moon]: 【Yes】
[Deer]: 【Aren’t you afraid that I won’t find out? If the assistant manager hadn’t urged me to come to the store, I wouldn’t know when I would see this piano】
[Full Moon]: 【Is it possible that I asked the assistant manager to urge you to see it?】
Lu You clicked her tongue: 【[New Moon]】
A completely black moon emoji symbol, meaning a dark-bellied bad moon.
Lu You quoted the paragraph with the most words from her above: 【Aren’t you afraid that there will be a little more trouble? For example, I’m not in your expectation, I won’t come over】
After waiting for two minutes, Yue Yunxi replied to her: 【I understand you】
So confident.
Lu You curled her lips, and in addition to joy, there was a bit of dissatisfaction with being controlled: 【Hmph】
She lowered her phone and slowly caressed the transparent piano lid, the keys below were clearly black and white.
The dim yellow sunlight sprinkled on the back of her hand, flowed into her eyes, and looked bright and soft, but there was no warmth.
The heat all came from herself, and the breath in the beam of light turned white, as if predicting the arrival of winter.
ˉ
Before long, Bo Mingyan arrived.
Lu You went to open the door for her.
Bo Mingyan asked, “What good stuff?”
Lu You raised her chin towards the piano.
Bo Mingyan walked over and admired the piano, “Pretty good, who gave it to you?”
“How do you know someone gave it to me?” Lu You raised an eyebrow and asked, “Can’t I buy it myself?”
“With your personality, you would have bought it long ago,” Bo Mingyan said.
Lu You didn’t speak, her mind wandered for a moment.
It seemed like one or two people understood her very well.
But she didn’t fully understand them.
Bo Mingyan set an alarm to order takeout for Meng Xiran, who was on a business trip. Lu You went to prepare self-heating rice for the two of them, teasing and joking with her.
Bo Mingyan’s tone was very light, like her name, bright and ethereal smoke.
It was hard to say what her attitude towards Meng Xiran was, very close, yet shrouded in a thin layer of mist.
In the gaps between chatting, Lu You was a little dazed.
People always peek at their own shadows in the happiness that others reveal.
She thought of the one at home, who was also true to her name.
She mentioned it to Bo Mingyan.
Bo Mingyan confirmed with her, “Yue Yunxi? True to her name–the feeling of the moon?”
“Yeah,” Lu You nodded, then shook her head.
“She’s very good at throwing straight balls, sometimes like the creek in her name, clean and pure, you can see the bottom at a glance. Sometimes she makes me feel like the moon in the sky, that kind of hazy, furry moon.”
With a gentle appearance, but always giving her the illusion that the moonlight is scalding.
“Is this feeling good or bad?”
Lu You shrugged, “Good in some ways, bad in others.”
Bo Mingyan: “No more nonsense.”
Lu You smiled, “I think it’s quite comfortable to be with her. We went to the zoo the other day, she wore a childish headband with me, took pictures in front of various pavilions, and then went to a concert in the evening. At nine or ten o’clock, we came out of the theater and drove to the nearby university town for barbecue.”
The two bought a bunch of food, shared a table with two student sisters, sat on plastic chairs, she held a paper box filled with oden, chatted with the students, and used disposable chopsticks to clip the vegetables and pull down the bamboo skewers. Yue Yunxi was on the side, helping her to brush away the hair that was blown by the wind, listening to her nonsense while touching her nose, and couldn’t help but chuckle, but she didn’t expose her with pampering.
That was a kind of gentle warmth.
“Isn’t that pretty good?”
It should be pretty good. There were many such warm scenes, brushing their teeth together with a mouthful of foam in front of the mirror; going to the flower shop together in the morning to pick a bunch of fresh-cut flowers, holding the flowers and walking slowly home along the road; blowing each other’s hair, putting on makeup for each other; she dressed Yue Yunxi’s hair, Yue Yunxi taught her how to cook, and they complained about each other’s unskillful projects; going to climb the mountain to watch the sunrise on a whim in the middle of the night, and their mouths were covered with sauce from eating iron-plate squid… There was romance, warmth, playfulness, and even craziness.
“But I still have a kind of… weird feeling,” she deliberated and used a strange word to describe her feeling.
Lu You also realized for the first time that such ordinary and warm interactions could also make people feel a kind of superficial happiness.
The words were too strange, and Bo Mingyan couldn’t comment, quietly waiting for her explanation.
Unlike Chen Feifei, Bo Mingyan was not familiar with Yue Yunxi.
Therefore, Lu You could talk to her about some superficial, private, and intimate matters.
“Especially every time after, that kind of feeling becomes particularly strong.”
Lu You’s skin was not thick enough to reveal more details. But from the bottom of her heart, every time was a hearty experience.
The moon that danced in her lips, tongue, and fingers was either as gentle as a phantom hidden in the stream, or as violent as a heart burning in the dark night.
The contrast between the warmth of the day and the resonance of the night was too strong with Yue Yunxi.
Everything was real, but it all seemed so unreal.
In her most recent moment, in the blur of being wet by the warm moonlight, a subtle thought even popped up–
Was it she who pulled Yue Yunxi back to the reality where she was?
Or was it Yue Yunxi who brought her into her own dream?
Her spirit and body both had a sense of unease in falling into a sticky spider web.
“This kind of unease sometimes makes me think back to the days when Tao Xin was cold to me,” Lu You’s tone was uncertain and hesitant.
“So you think…” Bo Mingyan said euphemistically, “She did the same thing as Tao Xin?”
“Not really, it’s just that the feeling is a bit similar,” Lu You felt confused and brushed her hair, “Actually, the feeling is also different, but it’s a bit similar.”
Bo Mingyan was even more confused than her, and asked with her hand on her forehead, “Did you study tuning or philosophy in college?”
Lu You: “…”
In a moment of silence, Lu You’s tense nerves relaxed, and she smiled, describing, “Let’s put it this way, Tao Xin gave me the feeling of drowning, drowning in cold water, long and torturous, I don’t know when it will end, when I can get relief.”
Bo Mingyan finally understood and nodded, “So what does Yue Yunxi give you?”
Very complicated.
Lu You thought for a while before speaking, “It’s like scattered sparks burning on your body. Sometimes it’s warmth separated by something; sometimes the thing that separates it is very thin, it’s just scalding; sometimes it will burn a little bit of pain… and then it gives me the feeling that I don’t know if it will be too much one time, and everything will be burned to ashes.”
Bo Mingyan was to the point, “The result seems to be heading towards a predetermined dead end.”
Lu You’s eyelids twitched.
This was the similar point, and also the deepest feeling of Lu You, the source of her unease.
Even though she herself thought so, when she heard Bo Mingyan say it so directly, she still had a trembling feeling of being awakened.
The self-heating rice had already been heated, and the white smoke rising from the air holes looked thin, but when the lid was opened, it was all heat that could make the skin feel hot.
“Don’t think too much,” Bo Mingyan said to her.
Lu You nodded in agreement with this suggestion, bent her lips and smiled, with a relaxed and calm tone: “I’m also thinking that maybe I’m thinking too much.
Because the previous relationship experience was really not good, which reduced my sense of security a lot.
Because my period is coming soon, probably at the end of the month, and the hormones are unstable.
And during this period, I don’t know what’s going on, when I chat with Grandma, and when I chat with Yue Yunxi, I always think of… because of similar words and similar things…”
Her throat suddenly choked up.
She didn’t actually have many memories of that person, because the relationship was too short, and the forgetting was too long.
It was like a stone stranded in the river of time, and no matter how deep the mark, it had long been blurred by the water flow.
What’s more, the support of the relationship was more resentment.
Even if she had been determined to be a good person since she was a child, it was inevitable that she would feel unwilling when she learned that the other party had a family and a daughter, and resentful when she found out that the other party had deceived her.
So when the memories were extracted and recalled again and again, it was like rumination for herbivores.
Even the most heartwarming scene became a little disgusting.
So, the address that she could still call out before now seemed to be stuck in her throat, unable to swallow or spit out.
And the other person’s name, three words, was even more stuck in her throat.
“Think of what?” Bo Mingyan asked.
Lu You pulled the corners of her mouth and said with difficulty, “My… Mom…”
Hearing this, Bo Mingyan’s expression suddenly became unnatural.
Every family has its own problems.
“In short, it’s all kinds of factors that disturb my mind, which leads me to think too much,” Lu You took a deep breath and quickly ended the topic, “Okay, that’s it for my business, let’s talk about you and your little Meng boss~”
These two were still in an ambiguous stage.
Inevitably, she was worried about gains and losses.
Bo Mingyan said a lot, and Lu You advised her a lot like a confidante big sister.
Logically, she shouldn’t interfere in her friend’s emotional problems, but this girl was really too bitter, more bitter than the whiskey that the guests sent.
Clearly she had a mother, but it was like she didn’t.
“Before my mom decided to remarry, do you know what she said to me?” Bo Mingyan stroked the cup in her hand, as if stroking a piece of decaying flesh that could not heal, “She said that if it weren’t for me, she could be happier sooner.”
Lu You was indignant.
And a few minutes later, when she saw that Bo Mingyan was drunk and listened to her saying more and more, and put herself in her place, she had more than just indignation.
“When my dad just died, the house was auctioned off, and we moved into a very old house. The house lost power, and I had a fever. She took care of me in the dark, filled a basin of water, bumped into the table and then bumped into the chair. The basin broke, and the water spilled all over the ground. She sat on the ground, and her emotions collapsed. She howled hysterically…”
Bo Mingyan didn’t say the content of the howling, but she said, “At that moment, I could really feel that my mother hated me.
She hated me, just like she loved her new child, even if there was no blood relationship, they were more likable than me.”
Bo Mingyan shook the cup, pointed to the amber liquid inside and said, “Look, does it look like oil? YoYo, although I don’t want to admit it, I know that for her, I am like a burden.
I think, if they had divorced before Dad died, she wouldn’t have wanted me.”
Also.
Drunk Bo Mingyan was unintentional.
She was still sober, but she had a heart.
That person also had new children.
The past that she recalled every day was the past that she couldn’t go back to.
And that person already had a future. She woke up crying from her dreams countless times, because she dreamed that that person would gently sing nursery rhymes and tell stories to other children, would go to that child’s parent-teacher meeting, would participate in that child’s coming-of-age ceremony, and would pour all her love into that lucky child.
Only she was unlucky.
Look, the children’s song sings so correctly, a child without a mother is like a weed.
Kinship is a connection that cannot be easily broken, because it is connected by blood.
It is not like other emotions, which are a burst of rain washing the branches, which can always be dried in the sun.
It is a long and humid tide, an impenetrable thicket of thorns, which is not easy to wade through, not easy to step over.
Even if its stings are subtle, it is more unbearable than a heart-wrenching pain.
Bo Mingyan said sorry, belatedly realizing that the word “also” was hurtful.
“It’s okay,” Lu You picked up the cup, drank all the wine inside in one gulp, and smiled nonchalantly with her lips upturned, but a layer of moisture was choked in her eyes by the spiciness.
Where did it look like oil?
It was clearly like bile, bitterly deadly.
ˉ
That night, Lu You and Bo Mingyan drank a shelf of wine and chatted all afternoon, and it didn’t end until Lost Deer opened.
Both of them belonged to the type who didn’t show their drunkenness on their faces. Lu You was still very clear-headed and said, “Manman, you’re drunk. I’m not at ease letting you go back alone. I have to personally send you home.”
If it weren’t for the empty wine bottles all over the floor, and the two of them spacing out from time to time with dull eyes, the assistant manager really wouldn’t have been able to tell whether they were drunk or not.
The assistant manager didn’t feel comfortable calling a driver for two drunk women, so she could only take Lu You’s car keys and send Bo Mingyan back first according to Lu You’s instructions.
On the way, Lu You contacted Meng Xiran, and the assistant manager informed Yue Yunxi about her getting drunk, thankful that Yue Yunxi had added her as a WeChat friend when she sent the piano, otherwise she wouldn’t know who to look for.
The assistant manager hadn’t gotten her driver’s license for long, and she didn’t drive very well.
Lu You sat in the car, her body swaying back and forth, feeling seasick.
After she sent Bo Mingyan into the house, she went down in the elevator and waved goodbye to the assistant manager who was traveling with her, saying, “I don’t want to ride in your children’s twist car anymore, you go back yourself.”
After saying that, she walked forward without looking back.
Walking on the small path leading to the gate of the community, she felt as if every step was stepping on the clouds.
The leaves were swaying in the wind, and she hugged her arms, but her steps were light. After walking a few steps, she unconsciously turned half a circle.
Looking up at the sky from the gaps in the branches, the black sky and light gray clouds were like the tones of a brush smear, and at the tips of the branches, there was a blank moon, light and hazy.
Turning back, she bumped into someone, and she was startled. She took a few steps back and apologized repeatedly.
Yue Yunxi’s slightly heavy voice came from the opposite side, “You drank, and you’re not going back in the car obediently.”
Her voice seemed to have a kind of magic.
Before she heard it, Lu You didn’t really feel that she was drunk, but after hearing it, it was like entering a safe zone, and she instantly relaxed.
So the accumulated and suppressed alcohol surged up in an instant.
Lu You said resentfully, “That driver, he’s underage, and he’s driving a twist car for children, can’t ride in it.”
A few steps away, the assistant manager, who was over 25 and sitting in her Benz, sneezed blankly.
Yue Yunxi asked her with a smile, “How much did you drink?”
Lu You shook her head, “Not much, not much.” She held up one finger.
“One bottle?”
The assistant manager drove by and corrected, “It’s a row! A whole row of shelves of wine!”
The drawn-out ending could still be heard as the car drove past.
Who is it! Demolishing the stage so annoyingly! Lu You was annoyed, grabbed Yue Yunxi’s arm, raised her leg to kick the car that had already started, kicked it two or three times, and every kick was kicking the air.
Yue Yunxi was both speechless and amused. She grabbed her and went to the parking place, “Let’s go, you little drunkard. I’m not underage, so you can always ride in my car back, right?”
“Yeah yeah, of course you’re not underage,” Lu You stared at her, “You’re an old driver.”
Yue Yunxi: “…”
Yue Yunxi put her in the car and bent down to buckle her seat belt.
Lu You lowered her eyes to look at her ear, which was close at hand, hidden in her curly long hair, floating over, floating over, very much like a conch in the deep sea at night.
She leaned over and said softly to the “conch,” “Old driver, I’ll tell you a secret.”
The rich smell of wine enveloped her ears, and Yue Yunxi stopped her movements.
“My girlfriend’s name is Jiaojiao.”
Yue Yunxi silently curled her lips.
“She is a pillow princess.”
Yue Yunxi: “.”
Yue Yunxi turned her face to look at her, looking into her clear and distinct eyes.
Lu You had a characteristic when she was drunk, which she learned from Bo Mingyan, the more drunk she was, the more she wanted to make her eyes clear.
This way, from the outside, others wouldn’t be able to tell, and she wouldn’t be in danger.
She said seriously and worriedly, “I’m very tired.”
Yue Yunxi was silent for a few seconds, chuckled, and squeezed her right arm, “It’s hard for you.”
Lu You curled her lips, “It’s not too bad.”
Yue Yunxi got into the car, fastened her seat belt, and started the car.
Finally, it wasn’t a child’s twist car.
Lu You thought, it still had to be an old driver. She leaned her head against the car window and watched the roadside trees that were constantly receding, asking, “Why did you come to pick me up?”
“The assistant manager said you were drunk.”
“Tsk, a spy.”
“She’s worried about you.”
Lu You couldn’t listen, “The crystal piano was also her and you colluding internally, and putting it in the belly of Lost Deer, right?”
“That’s an interesting way of saying it,” Yue Yunxi smiled more deeply, “You can say that.”
“There’s also a literary way of saying it.”
“What?”
“Have you seen Betty Blue?” Lu You said, “There’s a very classic line in it.”
But when she lay on the crystal piano lid, feeling the coolness and the rise in her body temperature, she thought of the words inside.
Yue Yunxi had seen that paragraph, and she vaguely guessed it, but she wanted to hear Lu You say it, so she asked, “What is it?”
“Well, you pull over.”
Yue Yunxi heard her say “Well,” and thought she wanted to vomit, observed the road conditions, turned the steering wheel, stepped on the brakes, and stopped the car on the side of the road, turning around to ask about the situation.
Lu You didn’t mean to get out of the car, but turned to face Yue Yunxi and grabbed her right hand, which was holding the steering wheel, and put it next to her face, like a little deer begging for food, rubbing her cheek against the back of her hand.
The movements were light, her cheeks were hot, and the back of Yue Yunxi’s hand was as cool as a crystal piano.
Lu You raised her long eyelashes, and borrowed the dim yellow street lights to add three points of lust to the intoxication.
“I have met many people, many people have given me a fever. I thought it was love, but it burned all of me. Some people made me feel cold, and then disappeared from my life. Some people made me feel very warm, but only warm, only you, made my body temperature rise by 0.2 degrees Celsius.”
Her tone of voice was unhurried, with the soothingness of being soaked in alcohol, as if every word had a intoxicating effect.
Alcohol always makes people more sensitive, especially the right amount of tipsiness, wandering between dream and reality.
Lu You could almost immediately feel Yue Yunxi’s emotion.
Even though she didn’t say anything, her eyes were as calm and deep as the night outside the window.
Until Lu You leaned over and kissed her lips.
It was more like a little deer begging for food, obsessed and submissive. The very bright eyes gradually developed a layer of shallow fog in the peck kisses, becoming hazy.
The drunkard forgot all that she had learned, and she was pure and seductive.
Yue Yunxi slowly tightened the hand that was supporting her cheek, stared at the moonlight-like water in her eyes, and said seductively, “Open your mouth, Yoyo…”
Lu You’s heartbeat accelerated, unable to resist such words, which sounded like coaxing but actually carried a strong command.
She obediently opened her mouth slightly.
A little fish swam in, sucking and biting her tongue, absorbing her limited oxygen in the slightly bitter wine taste.
At the end, the fish’s body also pulled out the luster of the water line.
“What should I do with you,” Yue Yunxi sighed softly, stroking her cheek, “It’s not good to take advantage of others.”
The second half of the voice was too low, almost silent.
Lu You could only think about the first sentence, and seriously replied, “Cold salad… cold deer meat may not be very tasty, stir-fry it, stir-fry it won’t be wrong.”
“Do you know what stir-fry means?”
“Spicy.”
Yue Yunxi smiled until her shoulders trembled, went to rub her hair, rubbed it into a mess, and then went to kiss her cheek.
It was so strange, she didn’t feel shy when she kissed her so much just now.
She was only kissing her cheek, but it made her reaction very slow.
Lu You blinked her eyelashes and asked slowly, “Eat?”
She didn’t know if she was asking about deer meat or something else.
Yue Yunxi chuckled and said, “Deer meat? Stir-frying is pretty good, but it tastes better raw.”
Raw?
“…Are your tastes so heavy?”
“Yeah,” Yue Yunxi held Lu You’s shoulders and adjusted her to the correct sitting posture, “I’m driving, be safe, or I’ll show you–”
Yue Yunxi paused, opened and closed her five fingers at her, “Awoo, eat a deer raw.”
What a warm and moist tone, what cute words, but the eyes that looked over really had the aggression to swallow people alive.
Lu You thought of a werewolf under the full moon for no reason.
She couldn’t stand this absolute suppression of eye contact, swallowed her throat, and shrank to the side.
What a terrible woman.
Near the community, Lu You looked at the lit-up courtyards and high-rise buildings along the way and asked, “Is Grandma asleep?”
Yue Yunxi said, “She should be asleep.”
Lu You said, “I don’t really want to sleep.”
“Then don’t sleep,” Yue Yunxi thought for a while and asked her, “Do you want to go to the study to watch a movie?”
“I think that’s a great suggestion, I can adopt it,” Lu You looked at the dark sky outside, “But, what should I watch?”
Yue Yunxi asked with a smile, “Betty Blue?”
“I’ve seen it, I don’t want to watch it,” Lu You’s eyes slid down, and now she had driven into a new section, which was planted with evergreen trees. The branches and leaves were still lush, and the accumulated green could be vaguely seen under the street lights.
In the moment when her eyes blinked lightly, she thought of the green dress.
“That… what’s the name of the movie with the green dress?”
“Atonement?”
“Ah, The Hangover,” Lu You’s mouth slipped, and she thought the name was too in line with her current state, “That’s the one.”
Yue Yunxi glanced at her and smiled in response.
