HUFT Chapter 3
by VolareFu Chaoyun took his medicine and went to sleep last night. At first, he didn’t feel sleepy, but gradually he found the child’s voice very pure and clean, which sounded very relaxing. So, he started playing some of the voice messages the child had sent him. In the end, he actually fell asleep listening to the child’s voice.
Although he still woke up in the middle of the night, the frequency seemed to be less than before. He didn’t know if it was the child’s voice that was too magical or if his stress had decreased recently. Either way, he had to get up and see the doctor.
After getting up, Fu Chaoyun first sent a message to his doctor, Lu Cheng, saying that he would be at the hospital around ten o’clock. Lu Cheng immediately replied with an “okay,” saying that he would be waiting for Fu Chaoyun in the consulting room.
After Chi Nan returned to the dormitory, he finished the breakfast he bought and first replied to Fu’s message.
“I’ve already finished eating and am getting ready to draw.”
Then, he took a picture of the half-finished line drawing on his tablet and sent it to Fu. He logged into Weibo to check his private messages and new commission requests, replying to the private messages and fan comments.
That’s right, Chi Nan is a sophomore in the art department of A University. During the May Day holiday, his roommates either went home or went on dates, so they weren’t in the dormitory. This led to Chi Nan being alone during the holiday. Because Chi Nan is an art student, he would occasionally take on some commission requests online, usually celebrity anime drawings or some custom-made pictures.
An anime drawing of a celebrity he had drawn before had caused a small stir online, causing his Weibo fans to increase rapidly. Many people sent him messages requesting commissions, which was one of Chi Nan’s main sources of living expenses.
Fu Chaoyun was already preparing to go out when he heard his phone ring. He saw that it was a message from the child.
“Judging from the picture, it looks like you slept well last night.”
[Did a certain child who is afraid of thunder play happy children’s songs last night?]
Chi Nan’s hand that was drawing paused, then he curled his lips. Chi Nan felt like he couldn’t get past this, always calling him a child. So how old is Fu then?
“You keep calling me a child, so are you very old, Uncle Fu?”
When Chi Nan sent the voice message, he emphasized the last three words particularly heavily. If Fu said he was young, he would say he was old, to see who could hurt whom. Hmph, the little tail in Chi Nan’s heart was already perked up.
Fu Chaoyun didn’t listen to it immediately. He went down to the garage from the elevator and replied to Chi Nan’s message after getting into the car. At that time, three minutes had already passed.
Because he didn’t receive Fu’s message in time, Chi Nan was thinking wildly.
“Could it be that he got angry because I called him Uncle Fu and made him sound old? But he’s only 27, he’s not old.”
One minute passed.
“Then why isn’t he replying to the message? Could it be that Fu is really angry?”
Two minutes passed.
Chi Nan was struggling with himself. He felt that Fu shouldn’t be such a petty person, but Fu indeed hadn’t replied to his message.
One minute later, Fu Chaoyun replied to Chi Nan’s message.
[I don’t have a cheap nephew like you]
When Fu Chaoyun opened the voice message, the corners of his mouth raised unconsciously. He thought the child was really quite interesting.
[Going to drive, I won’t reply for now]
“Then drive safely and don’t play with your phone.”
Chi Nan knew that Uncle Fu definitely wouldn’t be such a petty person. He must have been walking just now and didn’t see his message. Now that Uncle Fu was going to drive to do something, a sensible child definitely shouldn’t disturb him. Chi Nan would just finish the draft on his hands.
Drawing drafts is a very energy-consuming thing, especially since most of the drafts he receives now come from fans, who definitely want to draw their idols in a very fitting way, otherwise, they wouldn’t spend a lot of money to find him.
The draft that Chi Nan is currently drawing was received a week ago. The client said that her favorite celebrity had just finished filming and was about to rest for a period of time, so she wanted to draw some fan art and put it on Weibo so that fans who couldn’t see him could also see new fan art.
Chi Nan communicated with this client on Weibo about the requirements of the fan art. The client’s requirement was to draw two people, one is a celebrity and the other is a fan, a scene of the two of them together. Chi Nan asked some specific details and went to Weibo to find the celebrity that this client liked after there were no problems.
When Chi Nan searched for the three words [Fu Chaoyun] in the input box, many recommendations appeared.
“So this Fu Chaoyun is so good-looking.”
Chi Nan doesn’t usually pay much attention to the entertainment industry, but he has heard the name Fu Chaoyun. Many female classmates in the class like him very much, but he has not paid too much attention to him. Now, after searching for this Fu Chaoyun, he found that he is really quite good-looking. No wonder so many people like him.
Chi Nan looked at some photos of Fu Chaoyun, some high-definition and some fan-taken photos. For shaping an unfamiliar character, looking at photos is a more effective method. So Chi Nan found a few photos that he thought were suitable and well-shaped and downloaded them.
Then he started to paint on the tablet.
Fu Chaoyun arrived at the hospital at about ten o’clock. After arriving, he went directly to Lu Cheng’s consulting room and knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Fu Chaoyun then pushed the door in.
After Lu Cheng saw Fu Chaoyun, he first poured Fu Chaoyun a glass of warm water and put it on the table before starting to inquire.
“How have you been recently?”
“I haven’t been sleeping well recently, the same as usual.”
Fu Chaoyun thought for a while and still said the unusual thing yesterday.
“Yesterday, the time I woke up was shorter.”
Fu Chaoyun sat on the chair, took a sip of warm water, and then took off his hat and mask. Now he was in the hospital and could breathe some fresh air appropriately.
“Tell me about it.”
Lu Cheng pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose, looked at Fu Chaoyun, and waited for Fu Chaoyun to speak.
“I don’t know what happened last night, I met a child, I felt that his voice was very relaxing, and I fell asleep listening to his voice.”
Fu Chaoyun briefly told Lu Cheng about the situation. After half a minute, Lu Cheng spoke.
“Have you been taking the medicine I prescribed for you on time?”
“Yes.”
“Then you should take the medicine for now, and wait for a while to see if you can fall asleep without the medicine. According to what you said, your ability to fall asleep may have a lot to do with that child. Is our famous Fu movie emperor starting to have romantic feelings?”
Lu Cheng joked.
“There’s no such thing, the other party is just a child, about the same age as my niece.”
Lu Cheng didn’t rush to argue when he heard Fu Chaoyun’s answer, but instead changed the topic.
