HUFT Chapter 2
by Volare“Fu-ge, who were you talking to just now?”
Little Zhu originally thought that their tall, mighty, and all-powerful Fu-ge would close his eyes and rest in the car. He didn’t expect that after a while, he would actually take out his phone to reply to messages. Judging from the voice on the other end, it seemed to be a child. How could the aloof and unshakeable Fu-ge be messaging someone?
“A little kid who’s afraid of thunder.”
Fu Chaoyun didn’t know how to describe “Nan Chi Ru Jiang” on his phone. He just received his message when he was bored and couldn’t sleep. After thinking about it, he tentatively called him a little kid who’s afraid of thunder.
“Oh my god, the aloof great demon king is actually smiling.”
Little Zhu’s heart was roaring. He wished he could announce this news to the whole world. Their Fu-ge smiled.
About ten minutes later, the Maybach smoothly drove into a high-end residential area, which was Fu Chaoyun’s longest residence in City A, Huai Hai Apartments.
“If there’s nothing going on these days, you don’t need to come over here. I’ll give you a few days off.”
After Fu Chaoyun got out of the car, he basically declared the end of his day’s schedule. The next few days were his personal schedule, and he didn’t need an assistant or agent to follow him.
“Okay, Brother. If you’re hungry, just open the refrigerator. I asked the aunt to put ingredients in there before coming back.”
Fu Chaoyun nodded and went upstairs. Little Zhu drove the Maybach back to the company alone.
Fu Chaoyun used the password to twist open the doorknob, and then turned on the wall lamp, instantly illuminating the dim room. Fu Chaoyun looked up at the time, it was already two o’clock. Cooking would take too much time. Fu Chaoyun felt it was a bit of a waste to even cook himself a bowl of noodles, so he simply changed his clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
The warm water washed away his fatigue of the day. Fu Chaoyun closed his eyes and felt the impact of the water under the shower, hoping that this warmth could dispel his haze and help him sleep, so he wouldn’t be sleepless anymore.
Fu Chaoyun turned off the shower. When he came out with his upper body bare, he heard a thunderclap. Originally, this thunderclap wouldn’t have had much effect on Fu Chaoyun, but he remembered that just about an hour ago, a little kid was very afraid of thunder.
“Ding-dong.”
Fu Chaoyun’s phone on the bed rang. He took a towel to wipe his still dripping hair, and tapped open the phone with his left hand. He saw the message from Nan Chi Ru Jiang.
“Fu, are you asleep? It’s thundering.”
Chi Nan in the dormitory had just laid down when he heard the thunder, and then pouted a little dejectedly.
“Sure enough, the weather forecast is still accurate.”
Now he couldn’t sleep at all, because every time it thundered, he would think of the man who let go of his hand and abandoned him and his seriously ill mother, and was with other women. No matter how much he begged, it was useless. He had no money, he begged him to save his mother, but he was met with curses, and finally a few hundred yuan was thrown into the rain. That was a stormy evening, but it became Chi Nan’s eternal nightmare.
Even when he grew up, he would still tremble when he heard thunder, especially when he was alone, he would be very scared.
Chi Nan curled up alone in the quilt, not wanting to see or hear, wrapping himself into a silkworm cocoon, hiding in the quilt to send a message to Fu.
[Not yet]
When Fu Chaoyun sent the message, he thought of what Lu Cheng had said last time, that communicating more with young people would allow him to get more sunshine.
Nan Chi Ru Jiang seemed to be a young person. He didn’t intend to listen to Lu Cheng’s words, but Lu Cheng had more say than him in treating insomnia, so Fu Chaoyun typed a few more words and sent them over.
[Just finished showering. Thunder is not scary. Just don’t look or listen.]
He called it, communicating more with young people.
Fu Chaoyun wiped his hair with one hand and sent messages to Nan Chi Ru Jiang with the other.
“That’s what I thought too, so I wrapped myself in the quilt, so I can’t hear the thunder outside.”
When Fu Chaoyun opened it, he found that Nan Chi Ru Jiang’s voice was a bit muffled and trembling. It seemed that he was really scared, so he jokingly sent this sentence over.
[Then what will make you not afraid, Little Chi Nan?]
When Chi Nan saw the message on the screen, he was a little embarrassed. He was already nineteen and still being called a little kid.
“I’m not little, I’m already nineteen.”
Chi Nan sent a message to retort.
“Nineteen.”
Fu Chaoyun smiled when he thought of this age. Nineteen wasn’t considered a little kid. His niece was only sixteen years old. To him, he really was considered a little kid.
Before Fu Chaoyun’s message could be sent, Nan Chi Ru Jiang’s next message came over. Fu Chaoyun clicked on this voice message.
“My name is not Nan Chi, my name is Chi Nan.”
“Chi Nan.”
Fu Chaoyun recited this name twice in his heart. Chi Nan, Chi Nan, spring river water goes south, it’s a good name.
[Then, Little Chi Nan, do you need me to play a happy children’s song for you?]
Chi Nan couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the message from Fu. He really wasn’t a little kid.
“I’m really not a little kid, I’m very big.”
Chi Nan sent the message, but felt it was inappropriate. Just as he wanted to withdraw it, Fu Chaoyun’s next message came in.
[But only little kids are afraid of thunder. If you’re so afraid of thunder, aren’t you a little kid?]
Chi Nan felt that he was being ridiculed, but it seemed that only little kids were more afraid of thunder, but there were also big kids who were afraid of thunder, just a little less.
“You’re mocking me, I’m not talking to you anymore.”
Chi Nan sent the message with a bit of arrogance.
When Fu Chaoyun clicked on the voice message, he couldn’t help but complain: This little kid has a big temper at a young age.
Then he sighed, so this is the world of young people.
[Okay]
When Chi Nan saw this message, he really wanted to complain, but he felt that Fu made sense. Thunder is not scary, what’s scary is always the human heart.
Chi Nan fell asleep curled up in a half-dreaming and half-awake state. He didn’t know when the rain stopped. Probably when he was chatting with Fu. He seemed to have fallen asleep in a daze yesterday after only chatting a few words. When he woke up, it was already dawn.
When he woke up, he found that Fu had sent him a message last night.
[If you’re awake, play a happy children’s song]
“So Fu isn’t a cold person after all. Not only does he look cold, he’s just cold from the inside out.”
Chi Nan didn’t bother to argue too much. After all, if it wasn’t for Fu talking to him yesterday, he wouldn’t know when he would have fallen asleep.
Chi Nan was in a good mood today, so after getting up in the morning, he went to the first cafeteria to buy a meal, and then came back to write the manuscript he owed.
