BLHO Chapter 5
by VolareHe bent down, getting close to Lin Shuangxu’s face, staring into his eyes from just inches away.
But at this moment, Lin Shuangxu refused to look at him.
That solemn expression was somewhat amusing, like he was sacrificing himself for a noble cause.
He Yuncheng brought his lips closer.
Just as they were about to touch, Lin Shuangxu suddenly turned his head away, dodging the kiss.
“No need, let’s just get to it,” he said.
No need for kissing, no need for these intimate gestures that stir up fantasies. They weren’t lovers, this was a transaction, and there wouldn’t be anything else after this. The unnecessary steps could be skipped, saving them both effort.
He Yuncheng’s chest rose and fell slightly. He didn’t force it, nodding. “Alright.”
He sat down next to Lin Shuangxu, leaning back, one arm propped on the bed, loosely encircling Lin Shuangxu. He stared at his profile for a moment, then moved in again.
This time, the action was vulgar, directly kissing his neck.
The breath was hot, tickling his skin. Lin Shuangxu’s breathing suddenly quickened. He endured it for a moment, then dodged away again.
“Put out the light…”
He didn’t look at He Yuncheng when he spoke, probably not noticing the anger that had begun to rise in him.
He Yuncheng held back, not losing his temper. He stood up, snatched the jade hairpin from Lin Shuangxu’s hair, raised his hand, and with a flick, the jade hairpin flew out, and the candle was extinguished.
The room was plunged into darkness. He Yuncheng’s breathing was heavy.
“Any other requests? Speak,” He Yuncheng said.
Lin Shuangxu sat on the bed, calmly saying, “No more.”
He Yuncheng nodded. “Good, then take off your clothes. Do it yourself.”
As he finished, the rustling sound of clothes came. Lin Shuangxu obediently began to untie his belt.
The snow reflected the moonlight, shining in through the window. Even with the light out, everything in the room could still be seen.
He took off his cloak, then his outer robe, leaving only a thin inner garment clinging to his body.
“Continue,” He Yuncheng said.
Lin Shuangxu did as he was told, continuing to undress.
After all, it was the dead of winter. No matter how warm the room was, his skin still felt a chill in the air.
Lin Shuangxu broke out in goosebumps.
Seeing him stop again, He Yuncheng said displeased, “Take it all off.”
The air froze. He Yuncheng didn’t come over to touch him.
He raised his head, unable to see He Yuncheng’s expression clearly, and asked, “What’s wrong?”
He Yuncheng was silent.
“You don’t want to again?”
He Yuncheng still didn’t speak, nor did he move.
Lin Shuangxu sighed silently and lowered his head to pick up his clothes.
As soon as he touched the hem, they were snatched away.
He Yuncheng threw his clothes aside and suddenly, roughly, scooped him up from the bed.
Lin Shuangxu was lifted off the ground, his back slamming hard against the wall.
He cried out in discomfort, “Cold…”
He Yuncheng’s voice was hoarse, no longer able to suppress his anger. “You have to provoke me, don’t you?”
“You agreed yourself…”
“I agreed my ass!”
Lin Shuangxu had nowhere to brace himself, forced to cling tightly to his neck, his whole body trembling, not from the cold, but from the shame of being held and questioned in this position.
“If you’re going to do it, then do it. If not, put me down.” It was a threatening tone, but in this moment, it had no power to intimidate.
“Won’t put you down.” He Yuncheng’s tone was harsh, clearly wanting to humiliate him.
Lin Shuangxu’s face flushed red with humiliation, clinging tightly to his collar, gritting his teeth as he cursed, “You bastard, He Yuncheng…”
“Am I a bastard? You’re the one who came all the way to the military camp to bring me back, into my room, climbing onto my bed. What are you feeling wronged about? Am I the one bullying you?”
No.
He Yuncheng had never bullied him. In the General’s Manor, whatever Lin Shuangxu said was law. This general could only nod and bow.
Wasn’t that enough? Was he still making him feel wronged?
“I’m asking you something. Am I bullying you? What are you pretending for?”
Lin Shuangxu couldn’t help but tremble.
“He Yuncheng, you dog, let me go…” Veins stood out on his slender neck as Lin Shuangxu continued to curse him.
The curses were harsh, but they made He Yuncheng laugh.
In the dim light, he looked at Lin Shuangxu’s flustered face. “Yes, aren’t I a dog? Wagging my tail for you, coming when you call, leaving when you tell me to. Sure, you’re happy, I’ll humor you. But you can’t really think I’m just a dog, can you? Pairing me with just anyone as a spouse?”
“Princess Meng Ning is of noble birth, where is she not good enough for you…”
“Noble birth, so what? Lin Shuangxu, is the General’s Manor not enough for you to latch onto, that you have to be satisfied with becoming royalty? So eager to suck up to power, why don’t you marry her yourself?”
“What nonsense are you talking about?”
“Keep cursing.” He Yuncheng’s arm muscles bulged as he exerted force, almost thicker than Lin Shuangxu’s calf, holding him tightly, humiliating him to the point of tears.
“Let me go…”
“Don’t twist around, I won’t be responsible if you fall.”
Lin Shuangxu was overcome with shame and anger, refusing to listen to him, leaning backwards, struggling to push against his chest.
He had never once been willing to do as He Yuncheng wished.
He Yuncheng’s anger burned even hotter. He abruptly let go, and the skinny body plummeted downward.
Lin Shuangxu cried out in alarm, instinctively wrapping his arms around his neck.
Then, his body was supported by thick palms, brought back into his arms.
“You only listen when you’re scared, huh?”
“You…”
“Curse me again and see if I don’t really do it.”
Lin Shuangxu stopped talking. He Yuncheng calmed down, carrying him back to the bed.
Lin Shuangxu fumbled for his robes to put on, but they were snatched away and thrown aside again.
“Don’t put them on.”
“Let me go.”
“You think you can come and go as you please in the Fixed Nation General’s room?”
“What exactly do you want?”
“I don’t want anything.” He Yuncheng propped himself up on his arm, acting like a rogue, lying on the outside, blocking Lin Shuangxu on the bed. He patted the pillow next to him. “Sleep here with me tonight, leave tomorrow morning.”
He was being forthright now. Lin Shuangxu was naked on his bed, sitting uneasily.
He Yuncheng held back a laugh, deliberately emphasizing, “I won’t touch you.”
Lin Shuangxu was still sitting.
He Yuncheng turned slightly, his breathing sounding weary. He suddenly complained, “I’m so tired… After all these days, suffering in the military camp, freezing in the cold, I finally come home, and I can’t even get a good night’s sleep?”
It worked.
The coldness on Lin Shuangxu’s face gradually dissipated, replaced by deep helplessness.
He lay down next to He Yuncheng, with enough space between them for another person to sleep.
There was only one blanket on the bed. He Yuncheng had half of it, so Lin Shuangxu didn’t try to take it, turning his back to him, intending to sleep like this.
It was cold. Lin Shuangxu closed his eyes, enduring it. After a while, he heard the man behind him say, “Can you stop making me angry?”
A warm body pressed against him. He Yuncheng covered him with the blanket, and beneath the blanket, a broad chest wrapped him tightly.
Lin Shuangxu struggled slightly. “Don’t you…”
“Don’t move.” He Yuncheng closed his eyes, burying his face in the back of his neck.
Lin Shuangxu smelled good, his skin delicate. He had bathed before coming, and he didn’t know what he’d put on.
Wasn’t he unwilling, just exchanging conditions? Why did he have to prepare so carefully?
He Yuncheng took a deep breath of the fragrance, tightening his arms.
Not that he meant to be a lecher, it was a heartfelt exclamation: “How can you be so soft…”
The skin was still cool, but Lin Shuangxu’s organs began to feel hot.
“Are you still cold with me holding you?” He Yuncheng asked.
Lin Shuangxu didn’t speak to him, his body unconsciously shrinking, trying to make them seem less intimate.
Just deceiving himself.
He Yuncheng asked again, “Do you like me holding you?”
