    Chapter 11 Little Dumpling

The sky was slightly bright, and the snow stopped.

Xie YunChuan woke up stiffly in the waves of cold air. The fire was almost burnt to ashes, and the heat was slowly receding.

Luo Shuyou was still sleeping soundly in his arms. Xie YunChuan slowly moved his numb limbs and kicked Lu Yunzhou, who was sleeping sprawled out next to him, awake.

Lu Yunzhou had only dozed off for a while in the second half of the night because he was so sleepy. Now, he quickly woke up.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t sleepy, but the ice cellar-like environment made it difficult to sleep peacefully.

He looked enviously at the two people cuddling together for warmth. They must be very warm. If it weren’t for Luo Shuyou, he wouldn’t mind two grown men like him and Xie YunChuan cuddling for warmth.

But now… never mind, he couldn’t afford to offend a couple in love. He should stay away.

Silently adding wood to the pile of ashes and using some flammables to ignite it, he finally felt his body warm up a bit.

Lu Yunzhou made quite a bit of noise tending to the fire. Luo Shuyou hummed and slowly woke up. Discovering that he was in Xie YunChuan’s arms, his usual morning grumpiness didn’t flare up.

After a half-day of being out of it, he buried himself in Xie YunChuan’s arms and acted like a kitten for a while before finally waking up completely.

Only then did he realize that he had slept in Xie YunChuan’s arms all night. It must have been hard for him to maintain that position, so he quickly got up and sat next to him.

Xie YunChuan also really needed to get up and stretch his muscles. He felt like his blood wasn’t circulating.

Although the power outage was inconvenient, Lu Yunzhou still managed to set up a pot and cook a pot of porridge.

Thinking about it, Xie YunChuan was right. Live in the moment. Who knows if the earth will explode tomorrow!

So many unbelievable things have already happened. Nothing is impossible. Even if he saw his great-grandmother right now, he wouldn’t think much of it.

If you can treat yourself well, then come comfortably. Looking at the way things are, it would really be a luxury to have a pot of hot food in the future.

Luckily, he had a few normal days a few days ago. Sigh!

Luo Shuyou saw Xie YunChuan and Lu Yunzhou holding their bowls and constantly moving closer to the fire. Looking at the distance between them and the fire, and then looking at himself, he moved closer silently and inconspicuously like a quail, continuing to drink his porridge.

Xie YunChuan’s eyes flashed, and he silently drank his porridge. He naturally saw Luo Shuyou’s actions.

It seemed like it was time to have a good talk with Luo Shuyou.

Only Lu Yunzhou, this scatterbrain, was slurping away happily, simply a signal-receiving jammer.

Lu Yunzhou was also helpless. He, an outsider, suddenly broke into the lives of two young lovers and became an ambiguous obstacle. He was also very embarrassed, okay?

Of course, he could only try to treat them as air and let them treat him as air too. If he continued to observe the flirtatious scene between the young lovers day after day, he was afraid of a heart attack.

Very good, he didn’t know what he missed.

After the meal, a ray of sunlight shone in. Luo Shuyou ran excitedly to open the window and look outside. “Wow, Xie YunChuan, the sun is out!”

Lu Yunzhou was thrilled to hear this and ran over excitedly. “Really? Really?”

As soon as he reached the window, a huge cold current hit him. He couldn’t feel any warmth at all. Looking up, the big sun was indeed hanging high in the sky, but it didn’t emit any heat, and there was no sign of the accumulated snow melting.

Xie YunChuan also slowly walked over. His first reaction was to pull Luo Shuyou away from the window and avoid the cold.

Lu Yunzhou muttered dejectedly, “I thought the weather was getting warmer.”

Then he wondered, “What’s going on? Why does this sun only emit light and not heat?”

Xie YunChuan said calmly, “Why so many questions? There are too many things that can’t be explained right now. One more doesn’t make a difference.”

Lu Yunzhou said worriedly, “I know one more doesn’t make a difference, but every additional one may mean one more crisis.”

Xie YunChuan said without any emotion, “Either way, it’s a dead end.”

Listening to their words, Luo Shuyou said blankly, “Isn’t it warm?”

Lu Yunzhou was surprised. “It’s so cold, can’t you feel it? This is a fake sun.”

Luo Shuyou was startled and came back to his senses. He realized that he had spoken his mind and didn’t know how to answer. “Ah…”

Xie YunChuan interrupted them in time, “Alright, no matter what, let’s go out and see what’s going on outside.”

Hearing this, Luo Shuyou quickly said, “I want to go with you.”

He was afraid that Xie YunChuan would leave him alone at home again.

    “Okay, I’ll take you.”

After the last incident, Xie YunChuan didn’t plan to leave Luo Shuyou alone here this time either.

He had thought about it. In the current situation, there were too many unpredictable things. It was safer to keep people by his side at all times.

After getting fully armed, just as they were about to set off, Xie YunChuan looked Luo Shuyou up and down and found a pair of fleece gloves for him to wear.

Lu Yunzhou looked at Luo Shuyou, who was wrapped up like a ball by Xie YunChuan. After hesitating for a long time, he still spoke up to remind him:

“Even if you really don’t plan to let him do anything, you have to consider the problem of mobility, right? Like this, he probably can’t even outrun the first zombies. Are you planning to let him wait for death?”

Luo Shuyou quickly nodded slightly to indicate that he was right. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to nod hard, but he was so wrapped up that he couldn’t make big movements.

When Xie YunChuan was putting clothes on him, he repeatedly said that it was enough, but Xie YunChuan simply didn’t listen to the person involved and still wrapped him up tightly in his own way.

Helpless, he could only say that he wasn’t cold and tell him all his feelings these past few days in detail.

Xie YunChuan wasn’t surprised at all. “I know you can’t feel the cold.”

Luo Shuyou opened his eyes wide in confusion. Huh? Then why are you putting so much on me?

He wasn’t surprised that Xie YunChuan knew his situation. It had always been like this. Many times, it was clearly his body, but Xie YunChuan could always detect abnormalities before him, such as fever, illness… He was used to it.

Xie YunChuan saw his confusion at a glance and explained, “Although you can’t feel it, it doesn’t mean you’re not cold. Maybe there’s a problem with your perception. We can’t guarantee that you won’t get frostbite, so keeping warm is a must.”

Luo Shuyou obediently said “oh” and stood there, letting Xie YunChuan put clothes on him one after another. There were really too many. He couldn’t help but carefully mention, “This is a bit too much… right!”

Xie YunChuan: “Not much. You’re already weak and can’t be exposed to the cold.”

See, even Lu Yunzhou couldn’t stand it anymore.

Unable to help it, Xie YunChuan pulled Luo Shuyou back to pick and choose and rearranged him again.

When he came out, Lu Yunzhou facepalmed. Okay, he was a big dumpling before, now he’s a little dumpling.

Oh well, as long as he can move his legs. He wasn’t tall to begin with, and with those short legs, he could imagine how slowly he would be moving along the way.

Never mind, who told him to owe Xie YunChuan.
