    Chapter 90: Li Yurong’s Phone

As Xie Haoran’s words fell, the scene became even more chaotic. Everyone was trying to discern whether Xie Haoran’s words were true or false, but they suddenly realized that what Xie Haoran said was not entirely impossible.

Even some of the judges frowned, wondering if they had made a wrong judgment.

Only the judge who had spoken out earlier snorted coldly. A hand injury would have an impact, but these two paintings were on completely different levels. It couldn’t be explained away with a simple hand injury.

An unspeakable tension permeated the air, and everyone’s breathing seemed to become heavy and rapid.

However, Chu Zhaoyi seemed to be detached from the situation. He impatiently tossed the eraser in his hand, as if sensing something, and quietly turned his gaze towards the entrance.

There, Xie Yuyin and Zhang Anru were rushing in.

Their faces were filled with excitement and disbelief, and the emotions in their gazes towards Chu Zhaoyi were particularly complex. They didn’t even have time to understand what the scene of the two people confronting each other was about.

Both of their eyes were a little red, especially Zhang Anru. Tears were welling up in her eyes, her heart was already fragile, and now it was trembling because of this sudden news.

However, Chu Zhaoyi’s reaction was abnormally indifferent. He just glanced at them lightly, then looked away, as if he didn’t notice anything unusual about these two people.

“Xie Haoran, since you said I plagiarized, then I’ll ask you a question, this, what does it represent? What does it mean? Why draw this thing?” Chu Zhaoyi walked to the big screen and pointed to the lower right corner of Xie Haoran’s painting.

Xie Haoran was truly a meticulous observer.

When plagiarizing, he even noticed the smallest details in Chu Zhaoyi’s paintings, and remembered them to draw.

The place Chu Zhaoyi pointed to was a very small area, one of the many petals of a rose flower that had fallen on the ground. It wasn’t big, but a small stick figure tree was drawn in the petal, the most common way children draw trees.

Chu Zhaoyi was very smart, so smart that after discovering his paintings disappeared inexplicably for the first time, he left a small mark of his own on each painting.

No one but him could understand the meaning of this mark.

Xie Haoran’s face turned even paler when he saw that place. He had noticed it. He had been wondering why, why Chu Zhaoyi had to draw a few strokes of this thing on the petals.

But he didn’t care, and even copied the details to be safe.

“This is just a little habit of mine, just a mark,” Xie Haoran’s mind worked quickly, and he immediately came up with a countermeasure, still maintaining a pitiful look as if he was being framed.

Only Chu Zhaoyi could see the deep complacency in Xie Haoran’s eyes.

    Indeed.

Xie Haoran was indeed very smart.

He could come up with such a perfect excuse in just one minute, and there wasn’t a trace of abnormality when he lied.

Chu Zhaoyi didn’t really expect to solve this matter so easily. Mentioning the mark was just to trick him. Moreover, this mark was his, and he didn’t like anyone pretending to own it.

    Xie Haoran could steal anything.

    Except this.

In a way, Xie Haoran had provoked Chu Zhaoyi again.

Chu Zhaoyi took out a phone from his pocket. It was a pink phone, not like his own, but Xie Haoran recognized what it was at a glance.

Xie Haoran could still maintain his expression, but when he saw this thing, his whole face twisted.

    “Chu Zhaoyi!!!”

Chu Zhaoyi slowly dodged Xie Haoran’s reaching hand, hiding himself behind the host. The host pushed Chu Zhaoyi behind him.

    This phone was his mother’s.

To be precise, it was Chu Yu’s wife, Li Yurong’s.
