Chapter 75: “What did you say to each other?”

After saying all that, Officer Liu left, picking up the closed case family consent form from the floor and placing it on the table before leaving.

Gu Yusen stayed to accompany him. Chu Zhaoyi recovered faster than expected.

Half an hour later, Officer Liu received the signed consent form from Chu Zhaoyi.

The young man’s dark eyes stared blankly out the window, lost in thought.

Gu Yusen sighed. Some things couldn’t be hidden forever. Chu Zhaoyi had to know, sooner or later.

“Mr. Gu, I still need to tell you, although normally we’re not allowed to disclose case details,” Officer Liu said after much hesitation.

“Chu Zhaoyi’s father frequently booked hotel rooms with different women. Our officers found that these women bore a resemblance to Chu Zhaoyi, especially around the eyes and eyebrows.” As police officers, they were used to such things. The world was short on good people.

And among men, there were many who would lose control and commit unrestrained acts of lust.

Having seen so many people, how could they not understand what Chu Zhaoyi’s father was thinking?

“Also, the reason Chu Zhaoyi suffered from school bullying in his childhood was due to his overly feminine appearance. But this issue, with proper psychological guidance, could have avoided psychological problems.”

“However, Chu Zhaoyi’s condition deteriorated without limit, and his father was inextricably linked to it. Even his psychologist had issues.”

“And what role did his mother play in all of this? We are still investigating the specific cause of his mother’s death, but… sigh.” Officer Liu sighed heavily. Chu Zhaoyi, even in such circumstances, was able to get into A University based on his own abilities. His talent was undeniable.

    Heaven envies talent.

Gu Yusen was silent. From Chu Zhaoyi’s various behaviors, including his contradictory attitude towards his own long hair, he had a vague guess, but he never dared to think about it in detail.

Now that his guess was confirmed.

Gu Yusen didn’t know what to say. Even anger felt powerless.

If Chu Zhaoyi’s father were still alive, he could have retaliated a thousand or ten thousand times over, but the person was gone. Anything he said or did would be in vain. But the harm and pain Chu Zhaoyi suffered would accompany him for the rest of his life.

Leaving only Chu Zhaoyi alone to live in this world.

But Chu Zhaoyi’s father probably hadn’t laid a hand on Chu Zhaoyi, but the disgusting, sticky delusions were enough to make anyone sick.

Gu Yusen walked up to Chu Zhaoyi and found that the young man’s hands were frighteningly cold, without a trace of warmth.

Perhaps sensing his presence, he slowly turned his head, revealing a smile, a forced smile that was uglier than crying.

“Brother Sanmu, are we going home?”

    “A-Yi.”

“Brother Sanmu, I don’t really remember. I only remember living in a happy and fulfilling family, but I don’t remember any of the specific details. Even now, after hearing what the police officer said, I keep trying to find evidence in my memory to refute it.”

“It’s psychological suggestion,” Gu Yusen said. After taking in Chu Zhaoyi, he had nothing better to do than to read some books on psychology.

After learning about this, he told Mason why Chu Zhaoyi insisted that his family was perfect.

Even though his parents’ disguise was so clumsy.

Chu Zhaoyi was a little sad, but apart from the initial outburst, he found that his heart was actually calmer than he expected.

Gu Yusen patted the young man’s head, preparing to take him to see Mason.

After experiencing a major change, it’s very beneficial for a person to receive appropriate psychological counseling.

Especially for someone in Chu Zhaoyi’s situation.

Before leaving, Officer Liu saw them off.

Gu Yusen went to get the car, and Chu Zhaoyi stood obediently at the door, waiting.

Officer Liu looked at the young man’s thin back and said slowly, “Chu Zhaoyi, before your mother jumped off the building…”

“What did you say to each other?”
