Chapter Index

Gu Yusen retracted his hand and quickly covered it again.

    This little rascal!

Professor Qin was genuinely heartbroken. Having lived for over fifty years, he had rarely been rejected after achieving fame and success. Today, he was rejected three times by the same person.

But the damn thing was, he couldn’t bear to… he still couldn’t bear to give up on this good student.

“Chu Zhaoyi! Don’t say anything yet, let me ask what’s going on,” Gu Yusen said, his head aching terribly.

    Chu Zhaoyi nodded, not understanding.

“It’s like this, you should know that Chu Zhaoyi… has some psychological problems. Please don’t take what he said today to heart,” Gu Yusen whispered, getting close to Professor Qin, making it clear that he was only saying this to Professor Qin. He didn’t want more people to know about Chu Zhaoyi’s psychological issues.

He roughly understood the situation. Chu Zhaoyi was specially admitted by Professor Qin, and Professor Qin thought he had already taken this disciple, but he couldn’t contact Chu Zhaoyi until now, so he had to come and catch him himself.

He naturally wasn’t afraid of Professor Qin. To put it bluntly, these people weren’t in the same circle as them. They looked down on the stench of money in the financial world, and naturally, they also looked down on the lofty aloofness of the art world.

But the field that Chu Zhaoyi would be engaged in later was related to Professor Qin.

Even if he didn’t want to be his student, he couldn’t afford to offend him.

Professor Qin’s eyes lit up, seeing that there was still a chance for things to turn around.

    “Don’t mind, don’t mind.”

Gu Yusen touched Chu Zhaoyi’s head and slowly explained to him.

    “Does A-Yi like painting?”

“Like,” he answered without hesitation. In Chu Zhaoyi’s world, besides Gu Yusen, there was only painting. When painting, he could empty his mind without distractions, immersing himself in another completely new world.

“Professor Qin is a very famous teacher in the country. He hasn’t taken a student in five years and has only had two students. He has very high standards. He really values your talent in painting, so this is a very rare opportunity.”

“If Professor Qin becomes your teacher, he can help you a lot. He will teach you a lot of professional knowledge and guide you in all aspects.”

“A-Yi will become more and more amazing in this field.”

Gu Yusen broke down the matter and explained it to Chu Zhaoyi in detail. The young man had experienced too little of the world, and it was difficult for him to understand these things. What was easily understood by ordinary people became very pale in his eyes.

    Like a child.

Avoiding things when he found them troublesome, stubbornly staying in his comfort zone, unwilling to contact the outside world, not even willing to take a single step.

Gu Yusen could only gently appease him, slowly guiding him, guiding him to touch, to feel this real world with his own hands and ears.

Not the world he thought it was, small enough to only have himself, a barren wasteland.

    This world is very big.

Gu Yusen wanted to take him to explore it.

“Does Brother Sanmu want me to agree?” Chu Zhaoyi stared at Gu Yusen’s mouth. Gu Yusen’s words went in through his left ear and sneaked out through his right ear.

The only emotion he could feel was that Gu Yusen seemed to want him to agree to this strange person.

Gu Yusen paused and nodded honestly.

    “Want.”

This matter was all profit and no harm for Chu Zhaoyi. There was no reason not to agree.

“Okay, I agree,” Chu Zhaoyi said, getting an affirmative answer and focusing his gaze on Professor Qin.

Gu Yusen thought he was wrong. He thought that Chu Zhaoyi’s world only contained himself.

But Chu Zhaoyi’s world was very, very small.

Small enough to only hold one Gu Yusen, completely full.

So if Brother Sanmu wanted him to agree, he would agree.
