Chapter 14: Gu Yusen Endured and Endured, Until He Could Endure No More

“Didn’t we say we were going to see the doctor tomorrow? Why today?”

Early in the morning, Chu Zhaoyi was dragged out of bed by Gu Yusen. He was desperately sleepy, his eyelids drooping, unable to open them. Gu Yusen simply picked him up and shook him.

    “Wake up, Chu Zhaoyi!”

Chu Zhaoyi, being shaken by the collar, got completely angry.

The boy struggled to take back his collar, held the clothes Gu Yusen stuffed into his hands, and ran towards the bathroom, getting angrier as he thought about it. Even after entering the bathroom, he still poked his head out.

    “I hate you!”

    His temper was quite fiery.

Gu Yusen crossed his arms, sneering. Hmph, he wouldn’t let him win.

Sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. Last night, he stubbornly insisted on finishing his painting before sleeping. He urged him once, twice, three times, four times, five times, and finally, unable to bear it any longer, he directly forced the boy out.

This little brat didn’t appreciate it at all, and after coming out, he just hugged the vase and sulked.

No matter what Gu Yusen said, he ignored him, infuriating Gu Yusen so much that his temples throbbed. But the boy closed his eyes, looking like he refused to communicate.

Gu Yusen couldn’t even bring himself to yell at the little deaf guy.

Chu Zhaoyi was very stubborn. If he said he was angry, he was angry, and he wouldn’t listen to anything.

Gu Yusen could only obediently go to the garden and pluck a red rose, placing it in the boy’s vase.

Only then did Chu Zhaoyi open his eyes and give him a look. In the boy’s eyes, a red rose was a sign of Gu Yusen’s reconciliation. He was easy to coax. After getting the rose, he happily followed behind Gu Yusen, calling him Brother Sanmu.

Gu Yusen felt that he had found a way to control the boy’s little temper.

Knowing very well that getting up early today would make Chu Zhaoyi, this night owl, angry, he prepared a red rose early in the morning.

After washing up, Chu Zhaoyi wore the clothes Gu Yusen handed him, and also tied his long hair into a ponytail, letting it hang behind his head.

The moment the boy stepped out of the bathroom door, a rose was stuffed into his arms, the petals still carrying glistening dewdrops. The fragrance of the rose slowly filled the air, carrying the freshness and floral scent unique to the morning.

The boy puffed out his cheeks, not very happy, but he was the one who said it.

A red rose was a sign of reconciliation.

He also didn’t want to be a grumpy little person.

“Okay, Brother Sanmu, don’t bully me.”

“I won’t bully you. Let’s go eat and see the doctor, Chu Zhaoyi,” Gu Yusen said with sincerity on his face.

Chu Zhaoyi obediently put his hand into Gu Yusen’s palm, while the other hand held the rose, swaying it back and forth, his mood visibly improving.

“If I don’t bully you, who will I bully?” Gu Yusen took the lead, walking outwards, making sure the boy couldn’t see his mouth shape before muttering to himself.

Chu Zhaoyi still didn’t know what Gu Yusen was thinking. After going downstairs, the first thing he did was to put the rose into the vase on the windowsill in the living room.

This was a good spot that he had carefully chosen.

Whenever the dawn broke, the first ray of sunlight would pierce through the veil of night, falling squarely on this place. The sunlight, like fine gold dust, sprinkled on the petals, dazzling and bright.

Gu Yusen put out breakfast, with a piece of bread in his mouth, his gaze falling on Chu Zhaoyi’s excited back, and then he saw the three roses filling the vase.

It was like he was keeping count.

Counting how many times he bullied the boy each day.

    He felt a little embarrassed.

Making the boy angry three times in just one day…

Gu Yusen touched his nose. He should restrain himself today and not really make the boy angry.

This idea was completely overturned when he urged Chu Zhaoyi to eat breakfast for the third time.

“Chu Zhaoyi! Eat! We need to leave soon!”

Gu Yusen, who had just said he would restrain himself, grabbed the boy’s collar and pressed the stubborn person who was guarding the window looking at the flowers onto the dining table.
