TSIAGBICATMWI Chapter 29
by VolareChapter 29 Abstract Zombie
Lu Yunzhou watched them walk away before turning to Xie YunChuan, who said, “Go with them.”
Lu Yunzhou: “Huh…?”
Xie YunChuan stretched out his hand, a small clump of green vines floating in his palm. With a gentle wave of his hand, the vines shot out and struck the nearby rock, scattering it into pieces. “See? I have the ability to protect him. Leave if you want.”
Lu Yunzhou remembered the vines that opened the door when they escaped the residential complex. “So, that day was you too?”
“Yes.” Xie YunChuan knew which day he was talking about.
“You awakened that special ability you mentioned before?” Lu Yunzhou’s happiness was evident. This meant humanity finally wasn’t just passively taking a beating.
“Yes.”
“That’s great.”
Lu Yunzhou excitedly moved closer, but Luo Shuyou suddenly pounced on him. Luckily, Xie YunChuan was prepared and quickly held him tight, preventing him from breaking free. Otherwise, Lu Yunzhou would have been in trouble.
Lu Yunzhou was startled and retreated to a safe distance. “What’s wrong with him?”
“Don’t know.”
“Does he still recognize you?”
“Maybe!”
Luo Shuyou was held back again, preventing him from biting anyone. “Hmph~ Woo~!” he whimpered aggrievedly. He wasn’t allowed to bite this or that. This bad person wanted him to starve to death, woo~!
Lu Yunzhou looked at Luo Shuyou, who pounced on anyone he saw and couldn’t be restrained, and couldn’t help but say, “Is he hungry?”
Xie YunChuan looked at him, and he immediately took two steps back. “Don’t look at me. I can’t afford what he wants to eat.”
“Let’s hurry up and leave. Let’s go see if we can find some limbs for him.”
The fluffy white tiger cub in Luo Shuyou’s arms caught Lu Yunzhou’s attention. “It’s one thing that he doesn’t bite you, but why doesn’t he bite the little white tiger in his arms either?”
Xie YunChuan guessed, “He really likes fluffy things, but he used to be allergic to animal fur. I didn’t let him keep pets or touch them.”
Lu Yunzhou felt like he’d been hit ten thousand times. “So, he likes you, likes fluffy things, so he doesn’t bite. Does he hate me that much?”
“It’s not about hate.”
Heh, Lu Yunzhou didn’t want to discuss this double standard issue with him. “Let’s go. Let’s hurry up and see if there are any villages or anything. Let’s go in and scavenge for some food. We’re almost out of supplies.”
“Wow! Finally out.” After hiking over mountains and ridges for seven or eight hours, they finally saw a small village at the foot of the mountain as it got dark. No more endless, rolling mountains without end in sight.
Lu Yunzhou sometimes really admired Xie YunChuan’s good stamina. He was already exhausted just carrying two bags, but Xie YunChuan carried Luo Shuyou the whole way without stopping or uttering a sound.
But even if he did speak up, it wouldn’t do any good. He wouldn’t dare help him carry Luo Shuyou; he still wanted to live a few more days.
Xie YunChuan initially led Luo Shuyou by the hand, but after only a few steps, Luo Shuyou stopped and refused to move. Xie YunChuan looked at him. “If you can’t walk, put the little tiger down. It can walk on its own.”
Not only did Luo Shuyou not let go, but he also defiantly shook off Xie YunChuan’s hand, holding the little tiger with both arms and standing there, stubbornly looking at Xie YunChuan.
Just say whether you’ll carry me or not. If you don’t carry me, I won’t go.
Very well, even after becoming a little zombie, his willful nature hadn’t changed at all.
Xie YunChuan compromised. “If you put it down, I’ll carry you. How can I carry you if you don’t put it down?” He never had much principle in front of Luo Shuyou.
Luo Shuyou looked up at Xie YunChuan, then down at Little Ball, the name he had given the white tiger in his heart.
“Ehhh~!” He didn’t want to put Little Ball down, and he didn’t want to walk himself.
The white tiger cub seemed to understand and climbed onto Luo Shuyou’s shoulder, obediently lying on his back, steady and secure.
Luo Shuyou’s eyes lit up, and he opened his arms, wanting Xie YunChuan to carry him.
Xie YunChuan was truly defeated, obediently accepting his fate and squatting down to let Luo Shuyou climb onto his back. Xie YunChuan carried Luo Shuyou, and Luo Shuyou carried the white tiger, all the way.
Xie YunChuan and Lu Yunzhou squatted in the grass not far from the village. It was too silent. Even if there were no living people, it shouldn’t be so silent, like an empty alley.
Luo Shuyou smelled the fresh blood in the air. Food! He was so hungry that he broke free from Xie YunChuan’s hand and ran out.
Xie YunChuan let Luo Shuyou escape without noticing. “Youyou! Come back…!”
How could Luo Shuyou listen to him? In the blink of an eye, he was at the entrance of the village. Not bad, this little zombie ran quite fast. It seemed he didn’t have any rigor mortis process from the beginning, directly advancing to a nimble little zombie.
Xie YunChuan conjured vines, wanting to entangle Luo Shuyou, but the white tiger next to Luo Shuyou turned around and butted against them, and an invisible barrier blocked the reaching vines.
The opportunity was lost, and Luo Shuyou went in.
Xie YunChuan cursed under his breath and quickly chased after him.
The white tiger didn’t know what was right or wrong; it only knew to do what Luo Shuyou wanted. It sensed that Luo Shuyou wanted to run in and find the things inside, so it helped him.
Lu Yunzhou was dumbfounded, chasing behind and cursing. Damn it, it’s always like this. Can’t you have some new ideas? Xie YunChuan, can’t you be more careful? I’m going to be killed by you.
Luo Shuyou followed the scent of blood and ran into the front yard of an empty building. A zombie hiding in the dark, preparing to enjoy a delicious meal, smelled an extremely tempting scent as soon as he approached, much more delicious than the human flesh in front of him!
It immediately abandoned the fresh meat within easy reach and attacked Luo Shuyou instead. The white tiger blocked the zombie’s dive in the same way, but unfortunately, its power was still too weak, and cracks appeared in the barrier after only a few seconds.
Just as it was about to break, Xie YunChuan arrived in time, throwing out vines to pull Luo Shuyou back.
Passing face-to-face, the zombie missed its target and made a dissatisfied screech, looking back at Luo Shuyou and them with its limbs on the ground and its head twisted in a strange posture.
At that moment, Lu Yunzhou arrived. “Whoa oh! What the hell is that?” Every day, he was either being startled or on the way to being startled. His heart was about to give out.
This zombie was a bit abstract, especially ugly. Only two blood-red eyeballs remained on a skeletal head covered in skin and bones. Its emaciated and distorted body, if Lu Yunzhou didn’t see that the skull was human, he would have thought it was a newly infected animal.
Not giving them time to discuss, the zombie attacked them like a gust of wind. Xie YunChuan waved his hand, conjuring an ice wall to block it, pushing Luo Shuyou to the side. “Whitey, protect your master.”
Whitey was the name Xie YunChuan gave to the white tiger. It was concise and matched the white tiger’s image perfectly. He could tell that this cub wasn’t an ordinary white tiger and that it was very protective of Luo Shuyou.
The white tiger seemed to understand, biting Luo Shuyou’s pant leg and pulling him to the side, away from the chaos.
