    Chapter 69: Beat Him Up

    Chapter 69: Beat Him Up

Han Mao endured the discomfort in his eyes, and rushed angrily towards Lin Shuangxu.

    “How dare you…”

He reached out to grab Lin Shuangxu, but before he could touch him, a figure rushed in from outside the tent, a flash of a blade protecting Lin Shuangxu in his arms.

Han Mao’s vision blurred, not daring to recklessly collide, hearing the sound of a sword being drawn, he quickly retreated to dodge.

He Yuncheng’s sharp blade pointed directly at him, he lowered his head and asked the person in his arms, “Are you alright?”

Lin Shuangxu calmly looked at Han Mao, shook his head, and softly said to He Yuncheng, “Beat him up.”

He Yuncheng was stunned for a moment, a smile unconsciously appearing in the corner of his eye.

He had lived for so long, and this was the first time he had heard Lin Shuangxu say he wanted to fight someone.

Just shows how cheap this Han fellow is.

He let go of the hand holding Lin Shuangxu, putting him behind his back, in order to avoid accidentally injuring him when he started fighting.

Han Mao, relying on his own strength, naturally couldn’t beat He Yuncheng, but his many subordinates outside weren’t just for show. Hearing the sound of things being smashed, the Han family soldiers, although not as agile as He Yuncheng, rushed in to protect their master. The soldiers outside also all brandished their swords, surrounding the tent.

The atmosphere was tense and confrontational. Han Mao’s one eye was bloodshot, looking disheveled and ridiculous. He gnashed his teeth as he looked at the two people in front of him, this pent-up anger really needed to be released quickly.

But it was impossible to say that he had no fear of He Yuncheng. If they really started fighting, in terms of both strength and numbers, the He family army had an overwhelming advantage, and he wouldn’t gain any benefit.

He still needed to use his status to suppress them.

“I am the supervisor appointed by the Emperor himself. You are provoking a fight for no reason, do you want to rebel?”

He even had the nerve to say “for no reason,” it was clearly him who had pushed people to the point where they couldn’t endure it any longer. He was being beaten, and yet he was trying to blame others for starting it.

He Yuncheng didn’t want to reason with him at all. Before, with Lin Shuangxu stopping him, he had swallowed his anger. Now that even Lin Shuangxu had nodded, he had nothing to worry about.

“I just don’t like the look of you, so I want to beat you up, is that not allowed?”

    “You…”

Han Mao still wanted to accuse them of bullying others too much, but He Yuncheng couldn’t wait to start fighting.

A slash of the blade came over, Han Mao dodged, staggering and bumping into the corner of a table.

He hurriedly went to grab the weapon hanging on the wall, but was grabbed by the collar by He Yuncheng and thrown to the ground.

He took advantage of the situation to roll to Lin Shuangxu’s feet, an idea forming in his mind, wanting to grab him as a hostage to threaten He Yuncheng.

But He Yuncheng didn’t give him a chance to touch Lin Shuangxu at all, kicking his elbow before he could even get up.

There was a cracking sound at the joint, Han Mao was stunned for a second, and then rolled to the side, yelling miserably.

With He Yuncheng’s strength, even if his bone wasn’t broken, it was dislocated.

The other subordinates saw that their general had suffered a loss, and no longer dared to hesitate, all rushing up waving their weapons.

He Yuncheng didn’t hold back, knocking down anyone who came close, and in the blink of an eye, he had torn Han Mao’s tent to shreds.

Not far away, the people in the He family’s camp heard the sound of fighting. Soldiers who had already gone to sleep poked their heads out of their tents, asking each other what was happening.

A patrolling junior officer hurriedly ran back, anxiously reporting, “It’s bad! The General is fighting with the Han family army!”

    “What?!?”

Everyone was surprised, and after a moment, the shock in their eyes turned to excitement.

Fighting with the Han family army?

How could the General not include me in something like this?!

Deputy General Qin was the first to lead people towards the Han family’s camp after hearing the news.

The others were afraid of being left behind, not even bothering to tidy up their clothes, grabbing their swords and following.

A large crowd of people, their anger had been bottled up for so long that it was about to make them sick, they had long wanted to slash a few people to vent their frustration.

The General had finally figured it out, that Han fellow didn’t know what was good for him, no need to waste words with him, just teach him a lesson and he would be honest.

The brothers rushed excitedly to the battlefield, thinking about having a big fight, but when they arrived, they found that they were still too late.

The Han family’s soldiers had already stopped fighting, retreating and forming a circle, not daring to come forward.

He Yuncheng had Han Mao pinned down, his long blade against his neck, scaring him so much that he didn’t dare to move.

Had the fight already finished so quickly? The General is really… not even waiting for people…

Han Mao swallowed, wary of the blade on his throat, “He Yuncheng, if you dare touch me, if the court finds out, it’s a capital crime that costs your head.”

    He dares to threaten me?

He Yuncheng turned the blade slightly, cutting the skin, and a bloodstain immediately appeared on Han Mao’s neck, blood droplets flowing down the blade.

In a moment of extreme tension, Han Mao had difficulty breathing, afraid that He Yuncheng would really kill him without thinking it through, he could only change his tone and appease him, “General He, let’s talk things out, the grain issue can be discussed!”

He Yuncheng laughed coldly, “Alright, let’s discuss it, let’s discuss it now.”

He Yuncheng followed his words, but the blade in his hand didn’t relax even a bit.

“Someone!” Han Mao raised his voice, summoning the deputy general in charge of guarding the grain, and ordered, “Distribute the grain to General He!”

The deputy general was also terrified in the face of this situation, bowing and saying, “Yes, in two days, I will sort it out and distribute the grain to the He family army.”

“Now,” He Yuncheng raised an eyebrow.

The deputy general opened his mouth, hesitatingly looking at Han Mao.

Han Mao’s eyeballs were even more bloodshot and scarlet, “What are you looking at me for? Hurry up!”

The deputy general knelt on the ground in a panic, “General, please calm down, General He, please also calm down, the consumption of military grain is a major matter, every disbursement of grain must be specific to the number of days and the number of people, to prevent anyone from taking the opportunity to amass wealth, the Ministry of War has issued a strict order, I must have records of the daily consumption in the army, if I directly distribute the grain, we won’t be able to explain it to the court!”

He Yuncheng only felt like flies were buzzing in his ears, grabbing Han Mao’s kicked and injured arm, constantly applying pressure, causing Han Mao’s face to turn pale and cold sweat to flow non-stop.

“Then first distribute tomorrow’s rations!” Han Mao roared angrily at the deputy general, “Let General He take them now!”

The deputy general didn’t dare to have any more objections, he had to be able to explain to the court, but he also had to have his life to live until he returned to court.

With the current situation, if he pushed He Yuncheng too hard, he might slaughter the entire Han family army and abandon their corpses in the valley.

“Yes! This humble one will go and do it right away!” The deputy general didn’t dare to delay for a moment, running to carry out the order.

Han Mao was completely beaten up by He Yuncheng, and there wasn’t a single place on his body that didn’t hurt. After giving the order, he glanced sideways at He Yuncheng, feeling him slowly release his hand.

Enduring the excruciating pain, he quickly retreated from the dangerous area, asking He Yuncheng from a distance, “Do you have anything else?”

    Anything else?

He Yuncheng Carrying a knife, stood there seriously thinking.

Then slowly turned around and looked at Lin Shuangxu behind him.

His gaze moved downwards, landing on Lin Shuangxu’s hand.

Just now, did Han Mao say… “Your hand is so cold?”

    Which hand did he touch?

He Yuncheng used his eyes to question Han Mao.

Han Mao had already subconsciously hid the arm that had been kicked and broken behind his back.

He could see what He Yuncheng was thinking.

He felt that He Yuncheng wanted to take a knife and chop off his hand.

His expression was tense and righteous, but the words he spoke were somehow cowardly: “I just played a game of chess with Shaozhu, General He, do you also mind this?”

He Yuncheng scoffed, “He is happy, he can play chess with whoever he wants, I naturally don’t dare to have any objections, but it’s obvious that he wasn’t happy just now.”

Han Mao’s head went numb, looking at Lin Shuangxu for help, “Shuang… Shaozhu, I didn’t offend you just now, did I?”

Lin Shuangxu didn’t look at Han Mao, gazing at the direction where the grain was being stored in the distance.

The military advisor had already taken people over, and Han Mao’s people were counting the quantity for them.

Lin Shuangxu smiled gently, and said to He Yuncheng, “I was a bit serious when playing chess, General Han cheated, and I was also a bit too emotional, just a small dispute, who told you to rush in? We are all brothers of the same dynasty, how could you lay your hands on General Han?”

He Yuncheng obediently lowered his head, “What Shaozhu taught is correct.” He turned to Han Mao and said, “I was reckless, I apologize to General Han.”

Han Mao now had fire but dared not unleash it, had suffering but could not speak of it, gnashing his teeth and saying, “General He, where are you speaking? Since we are brothers, how can we fight among ourselves? You and I will have to fight side by side in the future to defend against foreign enemies.”

So he could speak human language after all.

He Yuncheng swept over him with a contemptuous gaze, too lazy to say anything more to him, grabbing Lin Shuangxu’s hand, interlocking their fingers, and left through the crowd.

Everyone watched them walk past, the atmosphere on the scene quiet and somewhat strange.

Deputy General Qin waved his hand, “What are you still looking at, disperse, disperse!”

He led the He family army away, letting Han Mao clean up the mess left behind himself.

He Yuncheng led Lin Shuangxu, not caring what others thought, bringing him directly back to his tent in full view of everyone.

“When did you go out? You didn’t even tell me, running off to challenge someone on your own?”

In the tent, He Yuncheng bent over and looked at Lin Shuangxu, amusedly asking him.

The He family Shaozhu, who had just had a fierce look on his face, was now sitting quietly on the sleeping platform, looking gentle and well-behaved.

“What if you were hurt?” He Yuncheng was like a parent cleaning up after a mischievous child, putting on a big act, asking him, “Who said, ‘Impatience in small matters ruins great plans?’ Who said not to have a direct conflict with Han Mao?”

Lin Shuangxu frankly said, “I was naive, with this kind of person, the more you tolerate, the more they will take advantage of you.”

He had a disgruntled look on his face, and He Yuncheng couldn’t help but reach out and pinch his face.

“When did your temperament become more impulsive than mine? I was originally thinking of bringing troops to suppress him a bit, that man is greedy for life and afraid of death, he definitely wouldn’t dare to clash with me head-on, but you’re good, you wanted me to beat him up, my attacks aren’t light, that arm of his won’t be better for ten days or half a month.”

Lin Shuangxu blinked his eyes and sighed, suddenly reaching out and hugging He Yuncheng’s neck.

He Yuncheng had finally caught Lin Shuangxu causing trouble once, and was putting on an act, giving him a lecture, when he was suddenly hugged, which caught him somewhat off guard.

He didn’t say anything more, feeling Lin Shuangxu’s rare initiative, the atmosphere gradually becoming ambiguous.

“I don’t like others touching me.”

Lin Shuangxu confessed his selfishness to him.

Indeed, it wasn’t necessary to take action tonight.

But Han Mao disgusted him, which was an important reason for his anger.

He Yuncheng only felt a heat in his lower abdomen. Lin Shuangxu hugged him and said these words, which was more provocative than a direct confession.

    “What about me?”

He Yuncheng knew the answer, but still wanted to hear it, placing his hands on his waist, and asking him, “Do you… like it when I touch you?”
