Chapter 60: The Soundproofing is Excellent

“Look here, look here! Right across from you!” Lian Xun’s tone was slightly anxious.

Qi Luzhi’s gaze gradually focused on the office building across the street. A window on the same floor was open, and a familiar figure was holding a phone to his left ear, while his right hand was waving frantically in his direction.

“Can you see me? Brother Qi.”

Lian Xun asked expectantly, sensing their eyes meet.

“Yeah, I see you.” Qi Luzhi’s lips curled into a faint smile, his tone surprised and delighted.

“I rented this place, planning to move the company over here. What do you think? Surprised?”

Lian Xun’s smug tone resembled a child who had done something good and was asking for candy.

Qi Luzhi looked at Lian Xun, who was only a few dozen meters away, and was silent for a moment before saying, “Wait for me.”

Lian Xun saw Qi Luzhi hang up the phone and walk away from the window towards the office door.

He was stunned for two seconds, then put away his phone and prepared to go downstairs.

Lian Xun’s location was in the Jingguang Building, an office building next to the Sheng Shao Group, separated from Sheng Shao Group by only one road.

A few minutes later, Qi Luzhi appeared at the elevator on the first floor of the Jingguang Building.

The elevator door slowly opened, and Lian Xun happened to be walking out.

A bright, casual smile adorned his face as he waved at Qi Luzhi, “I knew you’d come over, so I came down to pick you up.”

“Not bad, your timing is perfect.” Qi Luzhi’s lips curved up in satisfaction.

He stepped into the elevator and, with his back to the camera, pulled Lian Xun into his arms. He gently nibbled on his earlobe and questioned in a low voice:

“When did you rent this place? You actually kept such a big thing from me.”

Lian Xun pressed the button for the thirty-second floor, and the elevator door slowly closed. Only then did he reply, feeling a little embarrassed, “I’ve been preparing for a long time. I originally planned to tell you on the official moving day, but when I saw your figure at the window today, I couldn’t help but call you.”

Speaking of this, Lian Xun felt a pang of regret in his heart. Why couldn’t he control himself?

As soon as he saw Qi Luzhi, his hand seemed to have a mind of its own, insisting on pressing Qi Luzhi’s phone number.

“You promised not to lie to me anymore, but you’re hiding things from me again this time.” Qi Luzhi’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “Tell me, how should I punish you?”

“I just wanted to give you a surprise.”

It was clearly a good intention, but Lian Xun inexplicably felt a sense of guilt at this moment, and his voice was much quieter.

“If it’s a surprise, you should have told me sooner, so I could have been happy for a few more days, understand?” Qi Luzhi gritted his teeth and pinched Lian Xun’s face.

“I know, next time, definitely next time.”

“Do you even consider me family? You didn’t even tell me you were moving the company. I know the owner of this building, I’ll say hello later and have him lower your rent.” Qi Luzhi continued to nag.

Lian Xun didn’t rely on him for anything now, which made him feel very frustrated.

As Lian Xun’s closest partner, he hoped that he could become Lian Xun’s strongest support, both in life and at work.

    “Ding-dong—”

The elevator stopped on the thirty-second floor.

Lian Xun looked at the corridor outside and, seeing that no one was around, took Qi Luzhi’s hand. “Let’s go, I’ll take you on a tour of my new office.”

Out of the elevator, the new office location of Xun Qi Technologies was on the left.

A transparent, frameless glass door was ajar. Pushing it open, directly opposite was the front desk, with a simple yet well-designed company logo hanging on the wall.

Further inside was the employees’ workspace. Several large rectangular tables were placed in the center, without any obstructions, and several low green plants were placed on them, providing a very open view.

Lian Xun didn’t like cubicles, feeling that sitting in them was too much like being a beast of burden.

He preferred an open office environment, just like his management philosophy.

“Not bad, much better than your old, run-down company.” Qi Luzhi teased.

“Of course, you have to see who chose it.” Lian Xun said proudly, dragging Qi Luzhi to continue touring the innermost room.

“This will be my office from now on.” Lian Xun said excitedly.

“I plan to put a big fish tank in here, with some beautiful fish in it.”

“And, and, the desk will be placed here, and if I turn my head, I can see your office. If you miss me, just stand there, and you can see me.” Lian Xun pointed to the spot where Qi Luzhi had just been standing across the street.

“No.” Qi Luzhi shook his head. “If I miss you, I’ll come directly to you.”

“Well, that’s okay too.” Lian Xun’s ears turned slightly red. “I’ve tested it, the soundproofing in this office is very good.”

“Is that so?” Qi Luzhi raised his eyebrows and slowly walked up to Lian Xun. He lifted his chin and said ambiguously, “Why are you suddenly saying this? Don’t tell me you want me to do something to you here in the future?”

    “I… I didn’t.” Lian Xun’s eyes flickered.

In fact, he did occasionally have some NSFW fantasies in his mind, such as Qi Luzhi pinning him on the desk…

    Things like that…

But how could he say it out loud?

Qi Luzhi would think he was a pervert, right?

“If you want to, I’m happy to cooperate.” Qi Luzhi pinched Lian Xun’s chin, pulling their faces closer, his eyes playful.

“As long as you’re not afraid of your employees suddenly barging in.”

“Hey, what are you talking about?” Lian Xun slapped Qi Luzhi’s hand away with a *pa* and moved to the side, his face red.

“Okay, I won’t tease you anymore, continue talking.”

Lian Xun glared at Qi Luzhi and continued to enthusiastically tell Qi Luzhi about his ideas for the new office, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Qi Luzhi’s gaze followed Lian Xun, who was darting around the room, his eyes filled with tenderness and indulgence, subtle and lingering.

After the office tour, it was getting late. Lian Xun didn’t plan to go back to the company, so he called Ling Yu and told him to turn off the electricity and water before leaving work.

“Are you still going back to the company?” Lian Xun asked Qi Luzhi.

There was less than half an hour left until the end of work, so it seemed pointless to go back.

Qi Luzhi hugged Lian Xun from behind and said, “I’m not going back. Where do you want to go next? I’ll go with you.”

Lian Xun thought for a moment. “Then, I want to eat steak, at the one you took me to last time.”

“Okay, I’ll go get the car. You wait for me downstairs.”

    “Okay.”

Tomorrow was the start of the May Day holiday, so even though it wasn’t time to leave work yet, the roads were already terribly congested.

Qi Luzhi and Lian Xun were stuck in a long line of traffic, moving forward only a few hundred meters in half an hour.

“Ah… How could I forget that there would be traffic today? I should have just eaten something casually at the restaurant downstairs from your company.” Lian Xun complained with a miserable face.

Qi Luzhi smiled helplessly. “Then what can we do? We can’t go back now.”

“What else can we do but wait?” Lian Xun looked utterly despondent.

Being stuck in traffic was too boring, so Lian Xun wanted to find a topic to pass the time. He turned to look at Qi Luzhi. “Brother Qi, do you have any plans for the holiday?”
