PPS Chapter 47
by Volare“Why didn’t you even turn on the light?” Gu Yusen felt the person in his arms was icy cold, and couldn’t help but tighten his embrace, pressing the person closer to himself.
“It’s a voice-activated light, you just need to shout, and if the sound is loud enough, the whole building will light up,” Gu Yusen patted the young man’s head, wanting him to let go. How could he go home in this position?!
It was a bit chilly late at night.
Chu Zhaoyi automatically filtered out Gu Yusen’s irrelevant chatter, realizing that the person wanted to leave, and used a bit more strength in his arms.
“Chu Zhaoyi,” under normal circumstances, Gu Yusen would have sensed Chu Zhaoyi’s slightly strange emotions, but he was in a bad mood today, drank a lot of alcohol, didn’t even drive, and had called a driver to pick him up.
Originally, the driver was planning to take him straight home, but he stubbornly remembered that he had to pick someone up.
Chu Jiaojiao was the type of person who, if you were even slightly sorry for him, would stand in front of you with big eyes, not saying a word. And when you spoke trying to explain, he’d turn his face away and pull out his hearing aid, looking like a stubborn mule refusing to communicate.
If he had forgotten to pick him up today, Chu Jiaojiao would have slept in the studio, crying pathetically.
“Chu Zhaoyi? Let go, let’s go home!” Gu Yusen called again.
Chu Zhaoyi still didn’t say a word.
“Chu Zhaoyi.”
Gu Yusen, drunk, tirelessly engaged in childish behavior, repeatedly calling Chu Zhaoyi’s name next to his left ear.
After calling countless times, Gu Yusen felt his mouth was dry, and only then did Chu Zhaoyi make a slight movement. He raised his head, looking at Gu Yusen with the gaze one reserves for an idiot.
The hearing aid in his right ear gleamed metallically under the light.
He couldn’t hear with his left ear.
Gu Yusen was happy. The emotions that had been pent up all day disappeared instantly upon seeing Chu Zhaoyi’s figure. He didn’t even notice his own stupid behavior, feeling that his persistent calls had been effective since Chu Zhaoyi had reduced the strength with which he was holding him.
He patted the young man’s head.
“Let’s go home, A Yi.”
Chu Zhaoyi heard Gu Yusen say this.
“Can’t.”
Gu Yusen didn’t understand what was so good about staying in this dark place. The cleaning lady responsible for locking the door was practically staring holes through them.
“Why not?”
“Because I twisted my foot, it hurts so much,” Chu Zhaoyi said with a calm expression, talking about this embarrassing thing.
Gu Yusen stared blankly at Chu Zhaoyi’s calm face and laughed in exasperation.
He twisted his foot after running these two steps.
What an accomplishment.
Chu Cuicui (Fragile Chu).
“Fine, you’re my ancestor.”
Gu Yusen sighed, squatted down, and let Chu Cuicui climb onto his back.
He’d have to take him to the hospital at this hour.
“Not an ancestor,” the person stubbornly retorted from his back.
“What are you then, Chu Jiaojiao?” Gu Yusen supported the person with both hands. He was already swaying from the alcohol, and now he had to carry someone on his back.
Yet he was worried about them falling, so he had to walk slowly, step by step. But Chu Zhaoyi had twisted his foot, so he was worried about him being in pain and wanted to walk faster.
He was extremely anxious.
But Chu Zhaoyi was as if nothing had happened, obsessively rebutting.
“Not Chu Jiaojiao either!”
His breath fell on his ear, tickling and causing goosebumps.
Gu Yusen patted Chu Zhaoyi’s soft bottom.
“You are Chu Jiaojiao.”
“Brother Sanmu,” Chu Zhaoyi rubbed against Gu Yusen’s neck, this time not arguing.
“Don’t move!”
“Don’t be fierce,” the young man said pitifully, making it seem like he had suffered a great injustice.
Clearly, he had been the one suffering more injustice and neglect this week.
Thinking of this, Gu Yusen gritted his teeth.
“You ungrateful little thing!”
Chu Zhaoyi pondered on Gu Yusen’s back for a moment.
“Don’t scold me, Brother Sanmu,” he said as a result of his reflection, realizing these weren’t good words.
“I’m scolding you precisely! Irritating me this much. In the past, I used to exhaust myself coaxing you, and now, I’m about to die of anger, and I still have to carry you, working hard without complaint,” Gu Yusen complained heavily. The alcohol was making his vision sway, and he had to concentrate even more.
“Then I’ll coax Brother Sanmu,”
It was Chu Zhaoyi’s unique tone, one that only appeared in front of Gu Yusen.
Soft and sweet.
Before Gu Yusen could say anything, having just heard those words, he felt his earlobe the next second.
Someone gently bit it.
