TSIBAMS Chapter 73
by Volare“What exactly do you want?” Qi Guang plugged his earphones in, shoved his phone into his pocket, and then, with a push of his hand, vaulted over a dilapidated wall that looked like it could collapse at any moment.
This was a shortcut to school he had discovered long ago. After crossing the wall and a small dirt hill dotted with wild rapeseed flowers, there was the school’s basketball court. The basketball court had long been in disrepair, and a dog-sized hole had been dug in it.
It was because of this dog hole that he had never tried this shortcut.
But today was different. Although his mood was good, there was still something weighing on him. The mixed feelings of joy and sorrow had become a little numb over time, and taking a different path was kind of a way to find redemption.
So, when he passed this broken wall, he almost didn’t hesitate to climb over it.
As soon as he landed, he heard an unpleasant voice from his earphones, “Even if you don’t come back, you can’t be so degenerate!”
Perhaps it was because he had been through too much last night that he was now a lot calmer. He walked along the rapeseed path while patiently reasoning with Qi Jingsheng, “First, I know what I’m doing with my life. Second, I’m making money to support myself. That’s not degeneracy.”
“You need to make money to support yourself?” Qi Jingsheng chuckled, “Where have I not been good enough to you? Even if you want to experience life, there needs to be a limit!”
“Why do you still think I’m just experiencing life? That I’ll go back sooner or later?” Qi Guang stopped, taking a deep breath. “Okay! Whatever you want to do, come at me! Don’t hurt my friends!”
“Hurt? Friends?” Qi Jingsheng said sternly, “Do you think any parent would want to see their child working at that kind of place?!”
Hearing the word “parent,” Qi Guang felt a pang in his heart and violently tore off a rapeseed flower beside him.
Since running away from Qi Jingsheng’s house, he hadn’t made a move for a long time. Qi Guang had always thought that he was completely disappointed and had given up on him, but he didn’t expect him to come back and pester him relentlessly.
His perseverance is truly that of a man who does great things.
“Don’t go too far! The internet is not above the law. My friend didn’t pursue the matter only because they found out you were behind it!” Qi Guang’s voice suddenly rose, “If you don’t apologize, I don’t mind going to the police station again!”
“I can apologize,” Qi Jingsheng said, “I have a condition.”
“Please have your assistant turn on the computer, use the original account, and sincerely apologize. Then, after the bar’s business is back to normal, you can talk to me about conditions,” Qi Guang said as he walked toward the basketball court.
“The condition has to be set now,” Qi Jingsheng’s tone was firm.
Qi Guang was silent for a while, and then responded, “Okay, you say it.”
“Meet me,” Qi Jingsheng said.
It sounded simple, but even if there were a thousand complications behind it, Qi Guang would not hesitate to agree.
At least for the moment, agree to it first.
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Qi Guang squatted down and crawled through the dog hole beside the basketball court. It wasn’t small at all. He easily slipped through, brushed aside the overgrown weeds and wildflowers, and saw the physical education students training not far away.
He patted the dust off his clothes and pants and walked toward the high school section.
“I thought you were going to skip class for the whole morning?” Ye Xing was originally dozing at his desk, but he looked up at the sound. “I heard that you used to skip half a day or a full day of class, making it a round number.”
“That’s because it was troublesome to get a security guard to open the door, like begging for something, what the hell is a round number?” Qi Guang hung his bag on the chair, “Besides, I’m here to supervise your studies now!”
Ye Xing sat up straight, cracking his neck, “So, did you have to kneel down and beg the security guard to let you in so you could come here to study with me today?”
“You’re so smug!” Qi Guang kicked the leg of his desk, deciding to give up explaining the dog hole situation. When he reached into his desk to get his textbooks, he felt something warm, and he instinctively pulled his hand back, “Holy crap, what is this?”
Ye Xing glanced at him, holding back his laughter.
Qi Guang lowered his head, almost burying his head in the desk. His small head had a big question mark, “I just missed one class, how did this become a breakfast stand?”
He pulled out a bag full of bread and milk, and then another bag of still warm steamed buns and soy milk.
When he turned to look at Ye Xing, the latter was also looking at him.
“You didn’t have breakfast today?” Qi Guang held up the steamed bun.
“I did,” Ye Xing said, “This is for you.”
Qi Guang was stunned. He didn’t know if Ye Xing was doing it on purpose or unintentionally, and then he smiled a little awkwardly, “Xiaoyun already brought me…”
“You don’t like it?” Ye Xing interrupted him.
“It’s not that,” Qi Guang felt guilty, and forgot how to organize his words for a moment, “How did you know…”
“Then I’ll go ask Zhou Tian what he had for breakfast every morning before you switched classes?” Ye Xing raised his eyebrows, “And while I’m at it, I can find out who’s been stealing his breakfast every day.”
Damn it!
Qi Guang reached over to cover his mouth, “Did you already know?”
Ye Xing dodged his hand, “Only a simple-celled creature like Zhou Tian wouldn’t notice.”
“Bastard! Is it funny to watch me make a fool of myself?” Qi Guang glared at him.
“It’s hilarious, I’ve never seen anyone steal breakfast before, it’s so new!” Ye Xing said, laughing out loud.
After glaring at him fiercely, Qi Guang, knowing he was in the wrong, didn’t argue anymore. He lowered his head and took a bite of the steamed bun.
The familiar cabbage and pork filling brought a small amount of humiliation and a great deal of emotion!
He quickly finished the steamed bun and was about to suck down the soy milk in one go when a female classmate’s voice came from above his head.
“Classmate Qi Guang, would you have time to help me with this problem?”
If she hadn’t used his full name, he wouldn’t have thought she was talking to him. After all, he still hadn’t learned everyone’s names in the class.
He looked up, feeling a little embarrassed.
Luo Dan?
The fact that he could remember her name was probably thanks to her introduction accompanied by a thick “53” exercise book. It was from her that other students in the class started to gain the courage to ask him to explain problems.
For example, now, Qi Guang could vaguely feel the restless figures around him in the corner of his eye.
He looked at the clock on the podium. There were still two minutes before the bell rang, and then he nodded at Luo Dan, “Okay.”
Luo Dan’s expression was full of excitement. She pulled a vacant chair and sat next to Qi Guang, opening the familiar “53” exercise book.
Qi Guang sucked on his soy milk while looking at the problem.
And Ye Xing, who had been laughing uncontrollably just a few seconds ago, had changed his expression, moving to the side on purpose, dragging his chair with a loud screech.
Two minutes later, the bell rang. Luo Dan stood up reluctantly, “Thank you!”
“Did you have breakfast?” Qi Guang put the cap on his pen.
“No,” she smiled, “It’s Monday today, who can get up…”
Qi Guang pulled out the bread and milk from his drawer, “I just happened to have extra.”
“Thank you, Classmate Qi!” Luo Dan’s eyes lit up as she took the breakfast and happily hopped back to her seat.
Turning his head, he saw Ye Xing looking like he was about to sit in the hallway.
“I just can’t stand wasting food,” Qi Guang explained as he pulled Ye Xing’s chair back.
Ye Xing didn’t look at him but scooted his butt with him, “Tell Xiaoyun not to bring you breakfast anymore, she’s going to take the college entrance exam, running around like that will waste her study time.”
“That won’t do,” Qi Guang shook his head, “She insists on running around, if I don’t let her bring me breakfast, she’ll beat me.”
Bringing breakfast was fake; trying to get closer to the teacher was real.
Qi Guang had seen through that long ago.
“What a deep sibling relationship.” Ye Xing curled his lips.
Qi Guang smiled, “You’re the one who’s truly innocent and cute.”
“I won’t buy breakfast for Zhou Tian anymore,” Ye Xing said, “You give Xiaoyun’s to him.”
After a second of thinking about the futile and complicated order, Qi Guang nodded.
“That works, you just bring me breakfast from now on,” he smiled, “Thank you for your unique love, Master Xing.”
“Get lost.” Ye Xing waved his hand.
“Not going anywhere, here.” Qi Guang tossed a notebook over to him.
Ye Xing picked it up and flipped through it. There was no name on the title page. “What’s this?”
“This is the only one in the world – your boyfriend’s notes.” Qi Guang leaned closer to him, lowering his voice.
Ye Xing frowned at Qi Guang, then held the edge of the notebook with his right hand, slowly loosened his thumb, and in two seconds, flipped through it from beginning to end, coldly spitting out two words, “Wow.”
It was as if the person who had confidently said “suddenly I have a goal to work hard for” and “I want to get into a good university” a few weeks ago wasn’t him.
Truly pitiful and disappointing.
Qi Guang shook his head, “Have you looked at the math paper in your drawer? Even middle school students know more than you! Little Ye Xing, you need to work harder.”
Ye Xing flipped through the notebook again. This time, his gaze lingered a little longer. When he saw the formulas and examples that he had learned in the first year of high school, he muttered, “Qi genius’s notes are just so-so, I thought they would be more profound?”
“The profound version is here,” Qi Guang waved another notebook, smiling, “The one you have in your hand is the customized version, suitable for you beginner types.”
“What the hell?” Ye Xing’s eyes widened, “Did you organize all of this especially for me?”
“Yeah,” Qi Guang responded.
“When?” Ye Xing asked.
“The day you left,” Qi Guang said.
At this time, the math teacher was slowly walking into the classroom. Ye Xing glanced at him and lowered his voice, “If I remember correctly…”
“You remember correctly, we weren’t together at that time,” Qi Guang interrupted him.
Ye Xing turned his head, narrowing his eyes, the excitement in his voice hard to suppress, “You still don’t admit that you had a crush on me! Silly dog!”
“Nope!” Qi Guang smiled and reached out to straighten his head, “I’m just providing targeted poverty alleviation!”
What is it like to have a genius boyfriend? Ye Xing was excited as if he had been injected with chicken blood all morning.
This was the only one in the world, something that everyone in the class, even in the entire grade, dreamed of—Qi Guang’s notes!
And it was the customized version!
Even if he didn’t understand it, even if it was still his least favorite math, it became exceptionally cute.
