    Chapter 47

According to the phone navigation, the house Huang Shanshan mentioned wasn’t far, but Qi Guang still chose to take a taxi. Firstly, because he was really sleepy, and secondly, because he couldn’t guarantee Ye Xing’s mental state would allow him to walk properly.

Neither of them spoke in the car. Fortunately, the journey was short, and they arrived in five minutes.

Qi Guang bought two bags of pure milk at the convenience store downstairs and handed one to Ye Xing.

“I…” Ye Xing wasn’t fully awake. He stood there blankly for a while, looking at what was handed to him. “I’m lactose intolerant.”

Qi Guang didn’t say anything, took back the milk, and walked towards the apartment building entrance.

Ye Xing followed closely behind, feeling like a child who had made a mistake for a moment.

So, had he made a mistake?

He shook his head, recalling the scene that had occurred in the bathroom. Not only did he not feel any guilt, but he also couldn’t help but lick his lips. The plum wine had a sweet taste.

    He suddenly grinned foolishly.

There were only the two of them in the elevator. Qi Guang looked over with an expression that said, “hopeless.”

Ye Xing stared back at him shamelessly.

“If you know your alcohol tolerance is low, don’t drink so much!” Qi Guang said.

“I want to,” Ye Xing’s face was still flushed.

“Even worse when drunk,” Qi Guang glared at him.

He was angry, wasn’t he? He probably thought he was just being drunk and crazy.

Ye Xing lowered his head, he had indeed been too impulsive.

Did he regret it? No. Apologize? Impossible.

Although he wasn’t mentally prepared to come clean yet, he didn’t want to casually apologize and admit to being out of line while drunk, then go back to being just brothers.

Some thoughts, once they appeared, were like an unstoppable force, like a math problem leaving only two completely opposite extreme options, and the answer of being brothers, which was obviously a violation, was not possible.

He wasn’t content with that either.

Qi Guang opened the door. It was a simply decorated studio apartment. The open kitchen faced the living room, separated by a bar. The bedroom was next to the bathroom, it was large, and although it was a studio apartment, it had a large double bed.

Ye Xing didn’t have the strength to walk any further into the room. He flopped onto the sofa as soon as he entered and couldn’t get up. Qi Guang came out after having a look around the room and saw that he was already fast asleep.

The sofa wasn’t very big. Although his upper body was firmly on the sofa, his long legs were bent on the floor, looking very uncomfortable.

Serves you right for drinking so much.

Qi Guang finished his milk and went to take a shower. He couldn’t find an extra towel, so he used his own clothes to dry off. The washing machine was in the kitchen. He put his clothes and pants in the washing machine and glanced at the person who was still fast asleep, hesitating slightly.

It should be fine to wash them after he wakes up. After washing and drying, they can be aired overnight, and the weather is fine, they would be dry by tomorrow morning.

Although he felt a lot more awake after showering, sleepiness still surrounded him. Qi Guang looked at the time, 4 pm, set an alarm and then dove headfirst into bed.

Ye Xing was woken up by the cold, but his groggy brain wouldn’t let him wake up. Even though he had sneezed eight times in a row, he still struggled to stay asleep.

Just as he finished the ninth and tenth sneezes, he felt his leg being kicked.

He moved his leg with his eyes still closed.

Then he was kicked several more times in a row.

He rubbed his eyes and struggled to open them. What came into view was… a pair of black underwear!

Was he still dreaming? And was it an R-rated dream?

No way, he had only just figured things out, and now he was having these dreams? How thirsty was he?

Looking up further, Qi Guang’s face suddenly appeared in front of him.

Ye Xing jumped up instinctively, waking up a lot in an instant, “Damn!”

Qi Guang grabbed his arm without saying a word and pulled him toward the room.

“What are you doing?” Ye Xing didn’t shake him off. He had never seen Qi Guang dressed so sparsely. He was at a loss and didn’t dare to move.

“Sleep in the bedroom,” Qi Guang pulled him into the room and lifted the quilt.

Ye Xing looked at the quilt and then at Qi Guang…

He didn’t dare look at Qi Guang for more than a second, and continued to look at the quilt.

Finally, he concluded, “It’s fine, I can sleep on the sofa too.”

    Then he turned to leave.

“You woke me up!” Qi Guang grabbed him.

There was no need to look to know that his gaze was filled with impatience and certainty.

Fine! When heaven is about to place a great responsibility on a person, it always first tests their spirit, exhausts their muscles and bones, starves their body, empties them, and frustrates their efforts…

Ye Xing silently chanted “tests their spirit” as he turned back and obediently crawled under the covers.

Who knew Qi Guang would pull him out again.

It seemed that someone was saving their drunken madness for now!

Ye Xing frowned, turned around and glared at him, “What is it now?”

“Do you sleep in your clothes at home?” Qi Guang asked.

    Damn it!

“Am I supposed to take a shower too?” Ye Xing asked back, raising his head.

Qi Guang was taken aback for a moment, then pulled him toward the bathroom, “You just reminded me.”

Fortunately, he had already slept once, and now he had the energy to take a shower. Under the hot water, Ye Xing felt that his sleepiness had lessened a lot. The bathroom quickly became filled with mist, and all kinds of thoughts, some that should appear and some that shouldn’t, all squeezed out at once.

Spring, the season of rebirth. The image of Qi Guang naked from the waist up unconsciously appeared in his mind.

He had a really good body.

Too bad he didn’t dare to look at it for too long.

Ah! He didn’t even get a good look at how many abs he had!

Ye Xing swallowed and turned off the shower. He walked to the sink and wiped the mirror.

He puffed out his chest and stood up straight. Yeah, his body wasn’t bad either.

You have it, I have it too!

At this moment, Qi Guang’s voice suddenly came from the bedroom, “Put the dirty clothes in the washing machine later.”

“Oh,” Ye Xing was a bit flustered by the interruption and wasn’t in the mood to continue admiring his own body. He looked around and asked, “Where’s the towel?”

“Use the dirty clothes to wipe yourself!”

    What?! Did he mishear?

Take a shower and then wipe himself with dirty clothes? Wouldn’t that make his body dirty again??

    “Clothes?!” Ye Xing asked loudly.

“Duh,” Qi Guang’s voice sounded a little impatient, “Or do you want to go run around downstairs to dry yourself?”

Where did Qi Guang’s self-hypnotic cleanliness come from!

Ye Xing disgustedly turned his clothes inside out, gently wiping his body, as if that would make them a bit cleaner, at least psychologically.

Then he tossed the dirty clothes into the washing machine and pressed “start.”

When he was wearing only his underwear, looking at the clothes tumbling in the washing machine, he suddenly remembered that he had taken the clean clothes from the drying rack this morning. Why the hell was he washing them?

He didn’t know if he had caught Zhou Tian’s low IQ or Qi Guang’s fake germophobia.

He looked down at his underwear. Good, loose and breathable, it was his only sense of security in this season of rebirth.

When he returned to the room, he made sure to close the door, isolating the sound of the washing machine.

Qi Guang was sleeping on the side further from the door, with his back to him, not knowing what he was doing.

Ye Xing lifted a corner of the quilt and gently slid inside, but he didn’t dare get too close to Qi Guang, and silently drew a line of demarcation, not allowing himself to cross it.

Qi Guang was still in the same motionless position.

    He fell asleep that fast?

Ye Xing turned his head, looking at the back of his head with narrowed eyes. Below it was a slender neck. He wanted to keep looking, but the quilt was covering it. Ye Xing knew that he wasn’t being ruled by his hormones, but he couldn’t resist the urge to lift up the quilt.

As soon as he made a small movement, Qi Guang moved.

Scared, Ye Xing quickly pulled his hand back.

“Don’t move,” Qi Guang said, “the wind is getting in.”

Ye Xing breathed a sigh of relief.

That was close, he almost got caught in the act.

He lay flat on his back for a while before realizing that he wasn’t sleepy at all. And the person beside him with his back to him was like a statue, not moving at all.

    Was he really asleep now?

Ye Xing simply turned over, facing the back of his head. Qi Guang still didn’t move.

This back of the head wasn’t any different from anyone else’s.

The only difference was… he had touched it… no, he had pressed against it!

The fiery scene in the restaurant bathroom suddenly flashed back into Ye Xing’s mind. He had used his drunken strength to press him against the wall, demanding and taking him. It was the first time he had felt a boy’s lips were so soft, warm, and sweet. And before that, he hadn’t even imagined it.

He hadn’t imagined touching him, hadn’t imagined kissing him.

He had only thought about possessing him.

But what was the concrete expression of “possessing,” he had never thought about it in detail.

He had just suddenly wanted to kiss, so he kissed. Was that possessing him?

Obviously, Qi Guang didn’t have such an awareness.

But luckily, he hadn’t resisted either.

    Yeah, why didn’t he resist?

Ye Xing’s self-justifying logic encountered a bottleneck. He stared at Qi Guang’s head with a worried expression.

    “Qi Guang.”

    “Hmm?”

Ye Xing was stunned. He didn’t know how he had called out his name. What was more awkward was that Qi Guang had responded.

    Wasn’t he asleep??

    What should he say now…

Sorry, I was just talking in my sleep.

That was too stupid, it was better not to explain.

He opened his mouth and asked, “Are you mad at me?”

“No.” Qi Guang was still facing away from him, and there was no emotion in his tone.

“Really?” Ye Xing calmly looked at the back of his head, with not a trace of joy at being forgiven.

At this moment, Qi Guang suddenly turned over and lay flat.

Ye Xing watched as the back of his head turned into his profile, not scared to look away, instead gazing at him greedily. His nose was still so high, and his eyelashes were so long, who was he trying to seduce?

“I’m not going to be angry with a drunk,” Qi Guang said, “Only kids like you get angry over every little thing.”

“Okay,” Ye Xing felt a bit discouraged.

Indeed, he wasn’t angry with him at all.

He didn’t think he was being serious at all.

Ye Xing stopped staring at him, and he also turned to face the ceiling, lying flat. Only then did he realize that something was off.

When he was lying on his side, his mind was too chaotic to pay attention to it. Now that the quilt had rubbed against him, it felt uncomfortable.

    His face flushed red.

Then, he tiptoed to the bathroom.

Spring, indeed, was the season of rebirth.
