TSIBAMS Chapter 34
by VolareChapter 34
“Qi Guang!” Bai Shu pointed to a private room, “The one wearing the gold chain in the middle is Li Zhendong, it’s best not to provoke him.”
“Okay.” Qi Guang pushed the door, but it didn’t budge, probably because someone was blocking it from the inside. He simply took two steps back, then charged forward and slammed the door open.
The person blocking the door stumbled back, nearly falling into the toilet.
“Qi Guang?” Ye Xing was being restrained by two people in a corner, looking like a prisoner being interrogated. When he saw Qi Guang enter, he was startled, a trace of joy flashing in his eyes.
“Ye Xing?” Qi Guang frowned.
He looked around. This was the biggest private room in the KTV. It was filled with smoke and not many people. The one sitting in the middle like a king should be Li Zhendong. Xu Ge and Bai Shu had both warned him that this person was not to be messed with.
The people surrounding him were likely his underlings, dressed like country bumpkins. Their hair colors could form a rainbow. He even found the short guy who had followed him before, now with red hair, matching his red-haired girlfriend. Although eye-catching at first glance, he was unremarkable in the rainbow brigade.
Li Zhendong’s face looked like shit.
While Qi Guang was considering whether to just grab Ye Xing or reason with them, Xu Ge walked in.
“Sorry, I didn’t know Brother Dong was visiting today, we’ve been negligent! Our little ones here are a bit clueless and caused you trouble, I’ll take them away for a lesson now!”
Xu Ge pulled him towards the exit.
“Don’t be in such a hurry to leave, you’re here, so let’s sit and have a drink together.” Li Zhendong remained seated, twirling his glass on the table.
“Brother Dong, I have something to do today, so I’ll have to pass. All the expenses for this room are on me.” After saying that, he instructed Bai Shu, “Get another bottle of Cognac brandy.”
Bai Shu looked at him, but didn’t move.
“Go now!” Xu Ge ordered him in a low voice.
He didn’t say anything and retreated out.
“Brother Xu is really generous, no wonder he’s the most successful one around here.” Li Zhendong stood up, patting his pants, “Now, it’s hard to even get a drink.”
It seemed they had indeed gotten into trouble. If he didn’t give him face today, in front of his lackeys, he wouldn’t let Qi Guang and the others off.
Xu Ge walked over, found an empty glass, poured some wine, “Just trying to make ends meet.”
Li Zhendong smiled, narrowing his eyes, then looked at Qi Guang, “This is Qi Guang, right! I’ve heard about you for a while, it’s nice to finally meet.”
“Qi Guang is just a helper under my command, and he’s still a student.”
“I heard that Brother Xu has a strong underling just like you, whom nobody dared to bully when he was little. Seeing it today, these students can’t be underestimated. Isn’t that right, A-Huang?” Li Zhendong said, looking at the short guy with red hair.
Oh, so this red hair is called A-Huang?
How interesting.
A-Huang nodded vigorously, “Yes, Brother Dong, today’s students can take on three at once!”
Thinking about the video on his phone of this A-Huang kneeling and begging Qi Guang for mercy, Ye Xing let out a very disgruntled “Tch”.
Li Zhendong glanced at Ye Xing, “Who is this?”
Pretending not to know!
“He’s my classmate, it’s nothing to do with him, let him go.” Qi Guang walked in front of Ye Xing, blocking him.
Xu Ge quickly diffused the situation, “That’s right, let’s just drink, no need for students to join us.”
“It’s fine?” Li Zhendong patted Chen Hui on the shoulder, “I don’t think so. Xiao Hui’s scars might not agree!”
Only then did Qi Guang notice there was another person standing beside Li Zhendong, looking extremely sharp. Because he was dressed in all black, including his hair, he looked like an invisible man amidst the rainbow brigade.
The name was very familiar.
Oh, Chen Hui! The pervert who harassed a senior and got beaten up by Ye Xing.
Qi Guang looked at the still-healing scars on his face, and his slightly crooked mouth, and thought four words:
Good job!
Ye Xing shook off the two people restraining him, rolled up his sleeves, “Tell me how you want to resolve this, I’m ready for another fight downstairs right now.”
“Be civilized, don’t start fights so easily, come, come over and have a couple of drinks.” Li Zhendong waved his hand, signaling his underlings to bring him over. Then, he said to Xu Ge and Qi Guang, “Why are you all standing? Sit down and drink together.”
Xu Ge nodded slightly to Qi Guang, signaling him to sit beside him.
Qi Guang obeyed. He knew Xu Ge very well. Although he often seemed unreliable, he was very measured when handling things, unlike Ye Xing who was like a bomb ready to explode. Seeing him about to blow, Qi Guang was worried that something would go wrong.
After all, he was someone who had no brains when he was impulsive.
Qi Guang, who had fought him twice, knew that all too well.
At this time, the server pushed in the drinks. Bai Shu didn’t come in. Years of tacit understanding had made it clear to him that Xu Ge meant for him to wait in a safe place to respond. If the situation inside became uncontrollable, he would call the police immediately.
But from the current situation, it seemed that Li Zhendong didn’t intend to do anything illegal. He probably just wanted to settle things for his underling. And with Xu Ge there, he would at least give Xu Ge some face.
“Brother Dong, my classmate doesn’t drink. If he gets drunk and goes crazy, I don’t think anyone can handle him.” Qi Guang didn’t want to cause trouble for Xu Ge, and started speaking like him.
“Is that so? Can’t I handle it?” Li Zhendong raised an eyebrow.
Yes, you can’t.
This person was crazy when sober, so if he drank, he’d probably fly into the sky.
And his alcohol tolerance was surprisingly bad, tsk tsk.
“Brother Dong, I’ll drink for him.” Qi Guang raised his glass.
Li Zhendong slowly pushed his hand holding the glass back onto the table, looking at him with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, “Your bill hasn’t been settled, no need to rush.”
“Brother Dong, you must be mistaken, my bill with this A-Huang has long been settled. Look,” Qi Guang exposed the barely noticeable scars on his arm, where even the scabs had almost fallen off. Those few very regular hypertrophic scars were particularly prominent, “A-Huang even kindly reimbursed me for my medical expenses, so we have no hard feelings anymore.”
These clearly looked like self-inflicted wounds. Even if it wasn’t suicide, it was self-mutilation. Qi Guang’s expression seemed to say, “I’m the kind of person who walks around with death on my waistband.”
Usually, no one dared to provoke someone who was so reckless with their own life, even the most hardened thugs were mostly afraid of death.
Li Zhendong knew what he was doing. Moreover, he already knew that A-Huang had started the conflict, so he didn’t continue to make things difficult for him.
“Okay, then things are much simpler.” Li Zhendong turned to Ye Xing, “What’s your name?”
“Ye Xing! Let’s resolve this quickly, don’t go around in circles like we’re in a period drama.” Ye Xing was clearly impatient, his hands in his pockets, as if suppressing some force, ready to pull out at any moment and smash his head.
“I don’t think another fight is necessary, after all, Chen Hui clearly is not your match. If we all gang up on you, it’ll be bad for our reputation. There’s no need for that.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving!” Ye Xing was about to get up, but was immediately pushed down by the purple-hair and green-hair divisions of the rainbow team.
“Didn’t I say, sit down and have a drink.” Li Zhendong said.
Qi Guang frowned, he really couldn’t understand what these so-called big brothers found so fun.
Have a fight? Have a drink? Make friends?
Or was it about giving Xu Ge some face or giving the Cognac brandy he brought some face?
After all, that bottle of wine wasn’t cheap…
But he also didn’t want to lose face in front of his underlings, making it seem like he was afraid of Xu Ge’s reputation, so he insisted on having a drink to show that he had the upper hand in front of Xu Ge?
Incomprehensible.
But at least the current situation was stable, there was no need to call the police.
“Let the young people handle their own affairs,” Xu Ge saw the situation and had someone open the brandy. He mixed it with soda, poured two glasses and handed one to Li Zhendong. “Brother Dong?”
Li Zhendong took it with satisfaction.
Chen Hui understood what Li Zhendong meant, so he told the purple and green-hair guys to leave Ye Xing alone. Then, he poured a glass of straight liquor and handed it over.
This was bad.
Ye Xing frowned, reaching out to take it when Qi Guang’s hand appeared out of nowhere, stealing the drink. Qi Guang stood beside him, turned to Chen Hui and said, “I’ll drink for him.”
He tilted his head back, and finished it in one gulp.
Damn, it tasted awful.
Chen Hui looked at him with a smirk, “Okay, since you’re going to stand up for someone, you have to follow the rules.”
He poured another glass and passed it over.
Qi Guang took it without hesitation, and emptied it again.
“Hey, don’t!” Ye Xing grabbed his hand, “I’m not some girl who can’t drink!”
Qi Guang ignored him, not even looking at him, and pushed his hand away.
Then, another glass was passed over, “Sorry, the last one wasn’t full.”
Ye Xing really didn’t understand what he was so stubborn about. He was too lazy to stop him, staring at Qi Guang, trying to guess what kind of act he was putting on today.
Qi Guang was expressionless, not bothering to talk to Chen Hui, just taking the glass and drinking it.
So then the next glass found a new excuse, “We haven’t toasted yet, how can you drink so much by yourself.”
What a jerk.
Soon, Qi Guang couldn’t take it anymore.
After a few consecutive drinks, he made an excuse and headed to the restroom. Ye Xing saw he looked unwell and followed him into the restroom.
“Are you okay?” Ye Xing asked.
Qi Guang had no time to pay attention to him. He supported himself with one hand on the toilet, and used the other to gag himself.
Ye Xing glanced at the mirror in front of him. His eyebrows were now tightly knit, his face filled with worry. He approached Qi Guang, took the Buddhist beads from his wrist, put them in his pocket, and patted his back.
“Can you throw up?”
“Damn! This stuff tastes so bad, how can they even sell it for such a high price?” Qi Guang said, his face flushed.
Ye Xing hit his back harder, “You’re supposed to mix it with soda! It’s a waste of good liquor!”
“You have the nerve to say that?” Qi Guang glared at him.
“I didn’t ask you to drink for me.” Ye Xing came closer, looking into his eyes.
Qi Guang elbowed him in the chest.
“With your alcohol tolerance, you probably would have started a fight after the first glass.”
Ye Xing didn’t care, and continued to stand straight while patting his back. “So what if I did, a bunch of thugs pretending to be cultured is disgusting.”
Speaking of disgusting, Qi Guang’s stomach seemed to receive a kind of signal and he suddenly threw up.
It was the first time Ye Xing had seen someone throw up so violently in front of him. Before, just seeing people vomit on TV would make him feel suffocated, but now he was surprisingly calm. He quickly grabbed some tissues to wipe Qi Guang’s mouth, then dragged him to the sink.
Qi Guang felt dizzy. Even though someone was supporting him, his legs still felt weak. He leaned on the sink, rinsed his mouth, and splashed his whole face with water.
