Chapter 23: Distressed Qi Qi

“It’s good that she’s not going,” Mu Chuang replied. “Having her along would be so slow. She takes forever to pick something and never ends up with anything good.”

Fu Xiaoling chuckled secretly behind them, and Lin Xi became even more convinced that Mu Chuang had chosen this woman.

Because he could clearly see Fu Xiaoling’s reaction in the rearview mirror.

“Okay, let’s go then.” He became an observer, feeling heavy-hearted, only hoping not to be found out by the two of them.

The luxury car sped along, and the woman’s eyes were fixed on the man in front, deeply attracted by his handsome appearance while driving.

Lin Xi could only look at the street scenes outside, afraid that if he turned his head, the woman behind him would see something.

Fu Xiaoling smiled and didn’t say anything, but she glanced at the man beside her out of the corner of her eye, seeing that he was also smiling. Then she heard him say, “Choose whatever style you like. Chuang-ge will buy it for you.”

“Really?” Fu Xiaoling’s face lit up with joy, and then, as if she wasn’t quite sure, she confirmed again, “Are you sure you’re not teasing me?”

“Why would I tease you?” Mu Chuang replied. “Among the few of you, you’re the most well-behaved. You don’t usually take the initiative to ask for anything. Chuang-ge is in a good mood today, so hurry up and pick something.”

“Thank you, Chuang-ge,” Fu Xiaoling said with a sweet and bright smile, and then began to choose clothes.

Lin Xi stood quietly at the door, feeling a mix of emotions, because he knew that this woman was not what Mu Chuang saw. Perhaps she was the most formidable of the three.

But she was good at disguising herself, and he couldn’t expose her. If he interfered for no good reason, he was afraid that Mu Chuang would hate him to death.

The proprietress smiled so wide that her eyes disappeared, quickly packed the clothes, handed them to Mu Chuang, and flattered him, “Handsome guy, you’re so generous. You must be a lucky person to have such a beautiful girlfriend. It’s like a match made in heaven.”

Mu Chuang smiled and accepted it, and then he heard the proprietress say, “If you like the way it looks, come again next time.”

“Okay, thank you, proprietress,” Fu Xiaoling said, and then walked out of the store side by side with Mu Chuang.

Seeing Lin Xi at the door, looking uninterested, Mu Chuang realized that he might have ignored him just now.

“Little pitiful one, are you unhappy again?” He pinched Lin Xi’s face, then handed the purchased clothes to Fu Xiaoling, and continued, “Ge brought you out today to buy clothes. There are a few men’s clothing stores in front. Shall we go take a look?”

Fu Xiaoling carried her bag, following with a fake smile, very well disguised.

Arriving at the first men’s clothing store, Mu Chuang glanced at it and felt that they were all too mature, not suitable for Lin Xi, so he went into another store.
