Chapter 20: Xi Xi Panicked

“Chuang-ge, do you think this one fits?” she called out again from the fitting room, the half-cup bra barely covering her breasts, which were about to pop out.

Mu Chuang entered in response and, after a single glance, said, “Too small, change to one that can hold them in.”

“Then help me pick one.” Liang Ting whined, deliberately shaking her upper body, the “things” almost breaking free. “Choose a 38C.”

“Alright,” Mu Chuang replied calmly, appearing to only be giving her advice, with no other unusual reaction.

Liang Ting was annoyed at his lack of initiative, feeling that she was doing so much and still couldn’t make his heart beat faster. Could it be that he really had “those” kinds of tendencies, but hadn’t thought about it carefully, or was unwilling to admit it, due to social pressure and moral constraints?

She decided to add another strong dose of medicine.

Mu Chuang took an underwear into the fitting room according to her request, stood at the door of the fitting room, reached out and handed it to her, “Try this one, get another if it doesn’t fit.”

“Okay.” Liang Ting agreed, taking the underwear and pulling Mu Chuang into the fitting room with her, turning her back to him. “Help me unhook it, my hands are getting sore.”

Mu Chuang looked at the few pitifully thin hooks on the woman’s back, feeling like they would fall apart with a touch. There was no way it was as troublesome as she said. Saying her hands were sore was clearly intentional.

“Change it yourself, I’m craving a cigarette, I’ll go out and smoke for a while, I’ll wait for you outside.” He said and left, not caring if the woman agreed or not.

Liang Ting was stunned, not quite understanding his behavior.

“What the hell? Are you even a man?” she muttered in her heart, looking at the man’s departing back through the fitting room door, stamping her feet in anger.

In the end, she had to hurriedly put on the one Mu Chuang had brought her, then went to pay obediently, afraid that the man would suddenly leave her and go back alone first.

After all, her final step hadn’t been implemented yet. It wasn’t easy to get him out alone, and she couldn’t miss the opportunity.

Mu Chuang didn’t know what was going on. He didn’t feel much of anything when he saw the woman’s ample breasts. Could it be that he usually looked at too many beauties in his phone, like beach photos and swimming photos? Had he seen too much and become numb?

He had just lit a cigarette outside when Liang Ting came out so quickly.

“Did you choose one?” he asked. “How much? Do you want me to pay?”

“No need.” Liang Ting answered with some annoyance. “A piece of underwear isn’t expensive, there’s no need for Chuang-ge to spend money.”

Mu Chuang smiled, didn’t respond, and only asked, “If there’s nothing else to buy, shall we go back?”

“Okay,” Liang Ting replied, then went straight to Mu Chuang’s car, still sitting in the passenger seat.

Mu Chuang, as if in a hurry, took a few puffs of his cigarette, then put it out and threw it into the trash can by the roadside, and followed her into the car.

Halfway there, Liang Ting suddenly pointed to a building and said, “Chuang-ge, do you think this hotel’s business is bad? A lot of rooms are empty.”

Mu Chuang looked over in the direction she indicated and saw that many floors of the hotel were indeed unlit. Without thinking, he replied, “It’s normal for business to be bad. No place is always fully booked.”

“What’s more, it’s hard to make money these days. Unless absolutely necessary, who would go to live in that kind of place?” After he said that, he belatedly realized what she meant. Was this woman inviting him to rent a room?

While driving, he glanced at the woman next to him out of the corner of his eye and found that she was staring at him without blinking, further confirming his previous guess.

“So impatient?” he thought. “There’s no guarantee of safety if you marry this kind of woman. If some wild man seduces her, he could easily put a green hat on my head.”

“Luckily, I’m not in a hurry, or I’d regret it later,” he continued to complain in his heart. “Xi Xi is right, I’m not that old. I should be careful and take my time choosing.”

“Doesn’t Chuang-ge want to?” Liang Ting moved a little closer to Mu Chuang, thinking that he hadn’t understood, so she simply stopped hiding it. “Don’t you want to go inside and have a look with me?”

The words “sleep with me” were on the tip of her tongue, but she immediately replaced them with “have a look,” which could be regarded as leaving herself a little face. She didn’t believe he still couldn’t understand.

“What’s there to see? It’s not like I don’t have a place to sleep.” After seeing through this woman’s character, he wasn’t as polite as before. “It’s just a room and a bed anyway, nothing special. Is there anything different?”

“What’s more, we have to go to work tomorrow, so it’s better to go back early.” He added as a final remark, then sped up, not wanting to continue the topic.

Liang Ting understood. This man didn’t misunderstand; he was deliberately rejecting her. She felt that her efforts had been in vain.

“Who are you going to choose?” she asked in her heart. “Fu Xiaoling or that man?”

She suddenly remembered the way Lin Xi looked sitting on the bed, and became even more certain.

“Tch!” she cursed inwardly. “What’s so good about men? No curves in the front or back, they’re boring to look at, disgusting.”

Then she slowly thought about countermeasures, a fierce look flashing in her eyes.

Lin Xi was restless in the room, feeling uncomfortable whenever he thought about the two of them being out for so long and not returning.

“After tonight, should I call that woman ‘sister-in-law’?” he muttered to himself. “Chuang-ge, if you knew I had that kind of feeling for you, what would happen?”

He didn’t dare to gamble, fearing that he wouldn’t even be able to be friends in the end. His fair fingers clenched tightly, almost breaking his bones.

He also thought of Mu Chuang’s actions of holding him down just now. If it weren’t for these women interfering, would the two of them eventually develop into the outcome he wanted?

But was that possible?

Because Mu Chuang seemed to be interested in women. Otherwise, he wouldn’t bother to deal with them, coaxing this one and that one, unwilling to let go of any of them.

Although Liu Jingjing had been kicked out, leaving only two, who could guarantee that there wouldn’t be another one, or even more?

After all, Mu Chuang’s conditions were there, and he was very handsome. He didn’t have a girlfriend yet, so any woman would want to pursue him.

Lin Xi felt a headache just thinking about it.

There was still no sound outside, so he simply opened the door and went out to the balcony to get some air.

The early spring night was a bit cool, but it seemed much warmer than their hometown, so it wasn’t very cold standing outside.

Groups of male and female employees downstairs were talking and laughing, some busy going out for supper, others busy going back to sleep, but no one was feeling as bad as he was at this moment.
