Chapter 251: This is a dream, this is not a dream!

After an intense love affair, Zhou Zhou lay limp and drenched in sweat on the edge of the bed, his legs trembling. The man behind him went from rapid and heavy breathing to a gradual calm. He was lifted by the waist and laid back on the bed.

“Are you going back to the military tomorrow?” Zhou Zhou poked Pei Yanlie’s firm, honey-colored skin on his chest, a hint of worry flashing in his eyes.

Three days had passed since they returned to Pei Yanlie’s villa from the Federal Hospital. During that time, Pei Yanlie had stayed by his side, giving him a full sense of security. Although he was still awakened by nightmares in the middle of the night, the man lying next to him was like a calming pill, preventing him from panicking or despairing.

“Do you still want to go to the military?” Pei Yanlie kissed his damp forehead and tightened his arms, pulling him into his embrace.

Zhou Zhou naturally wouldn’t forget the words he had spoken before, but he didn’t really want to leave Pei Yanlie.

Pei Yanlie knew what he was worried about, and said in a deep voice, “Do whatever you want to do. I’ll be with you.”

Zhou Zhou was silent for a long time, his heart very conflicted. On the one hand, he didn’t want to delay Pei Yanlie’s job, but on the other hand, he didn’t want to be separated from him.

He realized that he had a huge psychological problem, but it was impossible for him to believe in a short period of time that he had escaped that nightmare.

In that desperate, infinite loop, he had experienced despair too many times. Hope was shattered mercilessly again and again, and his already collapsing heart could no longer withstand another heavy blow.

Pei Yanlie didn’t push him, only held him tighter. The boy in his arms was thinner than before, and he could feel the ribs in his abdomen with a light touch. “Still no appetite?”

Zhou Zhou didn’t seem to hear, and remained immersed in his thoughts, his pupils unfocused as he stared in one direction.

[This is a dream, this is not a dream, I am in Pei Yanlie’s room, in his arms, this is not a dream. Zhou Zhou, do you hear me, this is not a dream.]

[The Pei Yanlie I dreamed of before was a liar, this one isn’t, so, have I really come back?]

[Tenghu Planet is too strange, it’s best at playing with people’s hearts, what if this Pei Yanlie is also fake.]

He raised his hand and unconsciously gnawed on the flesh of his thumb, the anxiety in his eyes growing more and more intense, until his hand was grasped. His pupils shrank slightly, wanting to turn around and look at the man behind him.

Pei Yanlie looked at the bleeding wound on Zhou Zhou’s thumb, his eyes darkening instantly. He gripped Zhou Zhou’s wrist with great force until Zhou Zhou cried out in pain, then he sighed, “How many times have I told you, don’t bite here.”

Zhou Zhou pulled his arm back. Just as he was about to say something, a hot, soft lip suddenly pressed against the back of his neck. A shiver ran through his body, and he subconsciously blurted out, “Don’t bite me!”

Pei Yanlie paused, his tone a little helpless, “Since you know you’re afraid, then don’t bite your fingers in the future.”

Zhou Zhou nodded earnestly. He always promised so well, but then forgot in the blink of an eye. He often bit his fingers where Pei Yanlie couldn’t see him. Only by maintaining the pain could he feel real.

Pei Yanlie was angry and helpless at the same time, wishing he could bite his own fingers instead. He put his fingers in Zhou Zhou’s mouth, but Zhou Zhou didn’t bite, instead flirting with him with blinking eyes.

Like now, Zhou Zhou rolled over and lay on Pei Yanlie’s bare chest, took his hand, and whispered, “Pei Yanlie, my teeth itch.”

After speaking, without waiting for Pei Yanlie to reply, he leaned over and bit his hand, using a little force at first, but later it was just ambiguous teasing.

Pei Yanlie was so aroused by him that his breathing was disordered, and he could only pick him up and walk into the bathroom. “Stop playing around, let’s take a shower first.”

“Oh, are we taking a shower first or playing first?” Zhou Zhou’s reddish eyes turned upwards, a innocent smile hanging on his lips.

Pei Yanlie took a deep breath. “You won’t be able to handle it.”

[Tsk, could it be that he can’t do it? He’s still so young, there’s no reason why he can’t!]

Zhou Zhou rolled his eyes and struggled to get down from his arms, pleased to see Pei Yanlie’s dark face.

Sure enough, questioning a man’s ability is the greatest stimulation.

The bathroom light was turned off by someone in the chaos, and they could only rely on the touch of their lips and bodies to feel each other’s existence.

    ……

Early the next morning, Zhou Zhou followed Pei Yanlie to the Federal Army. As soon as they walked in the door, they met the big, slightly curly-haired boy, Jin Yu.

He used to be very cheerful, sunny and cute, but now he pursed his lips, looking like he wanted to say something but hesitated, his eyes filled with guilt and shame.

He was ashamed of Su Wanxing’s behavior. He had admired this cousin so much before.

As a soldier protecting the citizens of the Starry Sky, he actually colluded with that group of madmen from the research institute to do such a thing that harmed citizens.

Zhou Zhou waved at him, a faint smile on his lips, “Long time no see, don’t be so gloomy, smile more.”

Jin Yu’s gaze was complicated, and he said in a hoarse voice, “His actions hurt you.”

“Didn’t I come back? Everything is in the past. Besides, he is him, you are you, you are different individuals. So, there’s no need to have such a melancholy expression because of him.” Zhou Zhou raised his eyebrows, a nonchalant look on his face.

Pei Yanlie looked at his profile with a deep gaze, his brows full of gloom.

Zhou Zhou said it lightly, but in reality, he didn’t know how many times he had cried in private. How could this kind of pain and despair be easily dismissed?

Even if Zhou Zhou didn’t pursue it, Pei Yanlie wouldn’t let them off easily.

Old Master Su used their friendship to repeatedly plead for his grandson, but Pei Yanlie only had one sentence from beginning to end: “The mistakes made cannot be offset by a few words.”

“Yanlie, I only have this one grandson, please be merciful!” Old Master Su only had Su Wanxing, a male grandson, in his eyes and heart, and never mentioned another granddaughter in front of others.

His thinking was even more outdated than other old people. He valued men over women, and part of the reason was that his own daughter had resolutely joined a Star Robber den in pursuit of love, which became a lifelong disgrace to him.

He treated his daughter as dead, and because of his extreme hatred for her love-struck brain, he imposed this resentment on his granddaughter, believing that when she grew up, she would also do such crazy and disgraceful things for a man.

He had calculated everything, but he didn’t expect that his grandson would become this kind of person. He was in love with Pei Yanlie but couldn’t get him, and became jealous, so he didn’t hesitate to step into the threshold of crime, losing the Su family’s century-old glory and face.

Old Master Su was angry and afraid that Pei Yanlie would be too ruthless. He only had this one grandson, and he absolutely couldn’t watch him fall into Pei Yanlie’s hands.

In fact, Su Wanxing had woken up three days earlier than Zhou Zhou. His condition was no different from a living dead person. No matter who spoke to him, he didn’t react. It wasn’t until he saw Pei Yanlie that there was a glimmer of light in his eyes.

He originally thought that Pei Yanlie would become his lifeline, pulling him out of the abyss, but what he didn’t expect was that Pei Yanlie was a devil from the abyss. What he was best at wasn’t making him suffer physically, but the words that destroyed his spiritual world.

The R Particles in his body were still flowing in his blood, allowing him to drift between illusion and reality. Pei Yanlie repeatedly picked up the silver pistol hanging on his waist and mercilessly shot through his heart, uttering cold and ruthless words, “Su Wanxing, I shouldn’t have saved you in the first place.”

Su Wanxing could only scream in despair, the nightmare repeating itself over and over again until his spirit collapsed.

Pei Yanlie privately ordered that the R Particles in Su Wanxing’s body not be cleared until Zhou Zhou had fully recovered.

As for Song Shaolin and other researchers, they are now imprisoned in a dark and damp basement. Pei Yanlie used torture, which the people at the Federation Club knew, but they turned a blind eye, only vaguely saying: Don’t kill them.

Pei Yanlie had no interest in taking their lives, because death was too cheap for them. He only wanted them to live painfully in the world, to live a life worse than death, unable to seek death.

His iron-blooded and ruthless methods made those with dark intentions dare not try to harm Zhou Zhou again. As a result, Zhou Zhou had a period of free and safe days.

On this day, Zhou Zhou finally made up his mind to let go of Pei Yanlie’s hand, “Pei Yanlie, from now on, you are free.”

    Pei Yanlie: …

In fact, he couldn’t wait for Zhou Zhou to stick to him all day, either acting spoiled or pestering him to do indescribable things.

He stared fixedly at Zhou Zhou’s serious face, his lips pressed down slightly, “Are you sure?”

Zhou Zhou coughed lightly, a layer of blush rising on his cheeks, “Doing too much is bad for the kidneys.”

Pei Yanlie’s eyelids twitched a few times. Who was it who said he couldn’t do it in the first place?

Now he’s complaining that he can do it too well?!

“What are you planning to do?” Pei Yanlie pinched the flesh that he had finally managed to raise on his face, his tone a little dull.

“Oh, it’s nothing, Chen Qihang said that their school has a school anniversary celebration today and invited me to attend.” Zhou Zhou refused at first, but then he thought, if he keeps pestering Pei Yanlie all day, wouldn’t he get annoyed?

He believed that his psychological problems had been resolved and it was time to return to a normal life.

Pei Yanlie’s face was tense, his mind churning with various thoughts. It was clear that Zhou Zhou was developing in a good direction, so why did he selfishly hope that Zhou Zhou would stay by his side forever, with only him in his eyes?

But he couldn’t refuse Zhou Zhou’s request, so he only said, “You can participate if you want, I’ll go too.”

    “Uh…”

[I finally took the first step, and you’re still here to mess things up!]

Zhou Zhou narrowed his eyes slightly and “humphed” softly.
