Chapter 240: Why Can’t It Be You!

Zhou Jin retracted his gaze, ignoring the man in the white suit beside him, picked up the ordering machine on the table, and casually ordered a few dishes.

Just as he was about to click confirm to place the order, the ordering machine was taken away by a slender, fair hand. Zhou Jin’s face darkened, and his already irritated mood became even worse.

“Your body is still weak, don’t eat anything too greasy.” Gu Yuanci sat down on the sofa chair opposite him as if it were his own place, lowered his eyes and scanned the ordering page, and quickly ordered a few easily digestible foods.

Zhou Jin sneered, crossing his arms over his chest, “I haven’t settled the score with you for last night. Gu Yuanci, where’s your face?”

Gu Yuanci’s eyes curved, and an ambiguous light flickered in his light-colored eyes. He curled his lips and said slowly, “Brother Jin, you have the right to refuse me. You willingly came here with me. Now you’re putting the blame on me. It’s a little hurtful.”

The corners of Zhou Jin’s mouth twitched a few times, hurt?

It would be a miracle if Gu Yuanci actually showed a hurt expression in front of him!

He kept a straight face, turned his head to look at the dim sky outside the window, and pursed his thin lips, “You’ve gotten what you wanted, there’s no need to come in front of me to seek a sense of existence.”

From the moment he and Gu Yuanci broke off all pretenses of cordiality, they could never go back to their previous close relationship. If it weren’t for the business connections and interactions, he would never have followed the other party here.

“Brother Jin, do you have to draw a clear line with me?” Gu Yuanci put away the smile on his face, and his light eyes became deep and dark, as if something was suppressed inside.

“What’s the difference between you and the other Gu family brothers?” Zhou Jin sneered, but as soon as he finished speaking, he regretted it, and his heart suddenly ached dully.

Although Gu Yuanci was cunning and resourceful, he was also forced to be so. His identity and situation meant that the other members of the Gu family would never accept him.

From the age of eight to fifteen, Zhou Jin had been by his side for seven years, keeping him from being lonely and giving him at least one expectation in his heart.

All the changes were caused by the frequent appearance of beautiful girls around Zhou Jin.

He heard those words that made him harbor evil thoughts from the Gu family, something about a talented man and a beautiful woman, a perfect match, how ridiculous.

Zhou Jin had promised him when he was ten years old that he would always be with him. It turned out that those words that seemed sincere to him were just kind lies to coax a child.

He naively thought that Zhou Jin would keep his word and would really stay by his side forever.

He thought he had been abandoned. On closer inspection, he was just an insignificant illegitimate child. Perhaps, in Zhou Jin’s eyes, he was just a dispensable playmate.

That night, no one knew what he did in the room. He stood numbly by the wall, holding a sharp knife in his hand, persistently and frantically carving Zhou Jin’s name on the wall, until there was no blank space left on the entire wall, and then he suddenly woke up.

The dream should wake up, and the figure deeply engraved in his heart was coldly shackled by him, never to escape again.

Gu Yuanci was never a good person. He harbored a twisted and crazy love for Zhou Jin, from the initial possessiveness to the subsequent addiction. He knew that from the moment Zhou Jin picked him up that year, he was unique and irreplaceable to him.

Zhou Jin wanted to be in a relationship, even get married?

Gu Yuanci couldn’t let him get his wish. He approached the woman with an innocent and pure posture, and then seduced her to take the initiative to leave Zhou Jin.

He knew that Zhou Jin didn’t like that woman. If it hadn’t been for the Zhou family’s company falling into a slump, if it hadn’t been for the seriously ill Old Master Zhou asking his son to save the Zhou family’s business…

When Zhou Jin discovered that his girlfriend was looking at Gu Yuanci with admiring and fervent eyes, he mistakenly thought it was a one-sided infatuation.

The truth would not be too late, and Gu Yuanci did not hide it. He frankly said to Zhou Jin: “I don’t like seeing her standing next to you, I don’t like seeing her touching your hand, I don’t like her looking at you with that kind of eyes.”

Zhou Jin was stunned and misunderstood his words for a moment, “So, you like her?”

Gu Yuanci chuckled, and his bright eyes were full of Zhou Jin’s surprised face. He shook his head and only said: “Didn’t you say you would always stay by my side?”

Zhou Jin was silent for a moment, averted his gaze, and his expression was obscure, “A’Ci, no one can be with you for a lifetime, that person can only be your partner.”

However, what he didn’t expect was that Gu Yuanci would do something that subverted his worldview next.

Gu Yuanci reached out and clasped the back of his neck, with great strength, and then kissed his longed-for lips without hesitation, brutally crushing and aggressively entangling him.

The pure friendship between the two was broken, and the little boy who blushed and obediently called him Brother Jin had already turned into a wolf who stretched out his fangs at him at some point.

He kissed the man who occupied his mind excitedly and irresistibly, and his low, hoarse voice narrated his lust and love for him.

“Brother Jin, the person I like has always been you alone.”

What responded to him was a punch that Zhou Jin did his best to throw over.

Gu Yuanci’s face was instantly red and swollen, and bright red blood flowed from the corner of his upturned mouth, “Why did you reach out to me, but in the end, you don’t want me?”

Zhou Jin was already overwhelmed by anger and didn’t hear his aggrieved and painful murmur. He punched Gu Yuanci in the face again and again, looking like a raging beast, “Gu Yuanci! You’re fucking crazy! How old are you? Do you know what love is?! You’ve got some nerve! Tell me, what the hell have you done?!”

Gu Yuanci ignored the injuries on his face, stubbornly staring at the man in a rage, “You ask me what I did? I snatched your girlfriend, drove away the Yingying Yanyan surrounding you, I took advantage of you being drunk to do whatever I wanted to you, I want to tear off your clothes and make you completely mine. Zhou Jin, don’t look down on my love just because I’m younger than you. I’m taller than you now, and I’ll be stronger than you in the future. I can protect you and love you for a lifetime. So, why can’t my life partner be you!”

No matter how good Zhou Jin’s self-restraint was, he couldn’t stand it anymore. He cursed, wiped his red and swollen lips fiercely, and threw down a sentence before leaving: “Give up on that idea, I’m not gay. In my life plan, you’re just my younger brother with no blood relation. I will get married in the future, but that person can’t be you.”

Gu Yuanci stared at his departing back and laughed softly, “I will turn the impossible into possible.”

Since then, the relationship between the two fell into a freezing point. Zhou Jin had a feeling of anger in his heart and could never let go of what happened back then until Gu Yuanci left Main Star and cut off contact.

Zhou Jin had been with him for many years, and his entanglement was gone for a while, and a piece was missing in his heart, but he suppressed his complicated emotions and forced himself to get into high-intensity work.

His father’s health was deteriorating. As the only son of the Zhou family, all he could do was to do his best to save the company his father had built with his hard work.

With a “slap” sound, a photo appeared in front of Zhou Jin. He snapped back to his senses, lowered his eyes and looked at the dining table, his pupils contracted sharply, and he quickly covered the photo with one hand, his eyes turned red with anger, and he almost gritted his teeth and squeezed out a suppressed and low roar: “Gu Yuanci, what did you do last night?!”
