Chapter 225: You’re Illegally Detaining Me

Zhou Zhou had been trapped in a dream ever since he fainted.

In the dream, the man sat by the bedside, the stubble on his chin clearly untrimmed for days, radiating a disheveled and decadent aura.

“Pei Yanlie,” Zhou Zhou reached out to him, but the other party seemed oblivious, his eyes with heavy dark circles, as still and lifeless as stagnant water, devoid of any emotional fluctuations.

Zhou Zhou followed his gaze to the bed, where a boy lay with his eyes closed, his chest still, clearly lifeless.

He silently stayed beside Pei Yanlie, even though he couldn’t see him. Day turned into night and back again, and after many days, Zhou Zhou witnessed Pei Yanlie tormenting himself into this broken state for the sake of the dead him.

Pei Yanlie’s face visibly thinned, and his once straight back seemed to bear the weight of a thousand pounds, crushing him and preventing him from ever standing upright again.

He called Zhou Zhou’s name over and over, occasionally lying down beside him and whispering secrets in his ear.

    “Little Zhou.”

The low, hoarse voice was close to his ear, and Zhou Zhou suddenly opened his eyes, realizing he was being held in Pei Yanlie’s arms.

His lips lightly touched a cool glass, and he opened his mouth to take a few sips of water. The rich aroma of coconut and milk intertwined, creating a sweet taste that lingered in his mouth.

“Still dizzy?” Pei Yanlie asked, setting down the glass after he finished the nutrient solution inside.

Zhou Zhou shook his head, lifted his eyes, and carefully studied Pei Yanlie’s slightly haggard but still handsome face, hoarsely saying, “I thought you weren’t coming back.”

He saw the all-too-familiar love in Pei Yanlie’s eyes, pursed his lips, and sat up from his embrace. “You’ve regained your memories?”

Pei Yanlie rested his chin on the hollow of his shoulder and gave a low “hmm.”

He wrapped his arms around Zhou Zhou’s chest, pressing him tightly into his embrace, and took a deep breath. “Little Zhou, I’m back.”

Zhou Zhou’s eyes reddened, and he sniffled, his voice thick with emotion. “Didn’t I tell you I’d wait for you in the future? Why did you have to stay by that corpse, never leaving its side?”

The scene in the dream was incredibly vivid, and it was the first time he had seen Pei Yanlie looking so desolate.

“I don’t have superpowers, nor any memories of the future. You left without giving me any time to prepare,” Pei Yanlie subconsciously tightened his arms, his dark and deep gaze fixed on the gently moving Adam’s apple so close at hand, suppressing his emotions as he said, “Do you know what I’m most afraid of?”

Zhou Zhou endured his rapidly beating heart, his breath momentarily freezing, the sensitive area below his earlobe covered by Pei Yanlie’s scorching breath, making him feel as if he were being watched by a fierce beast.

“Afraid I’d die again?” Zhou Zhou swallowed, subtly moving away from Pei Yanlie’s thin lips, which were about to touch his neck.

Pei Yanlie responded with a soft sound, his eyes darkening terribly. “Afraid you’d forget me, afraid you’d be stolen away by someone else in a place I didn’t know.”

He forcefully gripped Zhou Zhou’s wrist, his gloomy gaze sweeping over the bruises on the back of his hand. The words he spoke were as gentle as the intimate whispers between lovers, yet they sent chills down one’s spine. “I will repay them a hundredfold for the marks they left on you.”

He lowered his head and lightly licked the needle prick wounds on the back of Zhou Zhou’s hand, using his other hand to lift the hem of his clothes, stroking upwards along his thin spine.

Zhou Zhou felt like Pei Yanlie had changed, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on how. He was holding his breath, his whole body tense, unable to relax at all.

“You don’t need to go to the military,” Pei Yanlie bit his earlobe, his tone leaving no room for refusal.

This was when Zhou Zhou finally reacted. From the moment he saw Pei Yanlie on the roof of the research institute, he had resolved not to be a slacker anymore. How could he obediently stay here, being a useless salted fish?

“Why?” Zhou Zhou’s voice completely changed as he was suddenly bitten on the neck.

“The old fossils at the research institute won’t just sit by and watch Song Shaolin go to jail,” Pei Yanlie raised his hand, satisfied, and stroked the newly formed bite mark on Zhou Zhou’s neck. “So, for your personal safety, you can only stay in the villa. Without my permission, you are forbidden from taking a single step out of the villa.”

    [You’re illegally detaining me!]

Zhou Zhou protested in his mind, his eyes filled with grievance. Thinking of Pei Yanlie’s tendency to respond to softness rather than hardness, he softened his voice. “I want to join the military.”

Pei Yanlie refused without hesitation. “Joining the military is too dangerous. Don’t even think about it!”

“I don’t want to be a vase, nor am I a woman. Pei Yanlie, I don’t want to rely on you every time I’m in crisis.” Zhou Zhou pulled away from his grasp, lifted his butt, sat on the bed, and looked at Pei Yanlie’s darkening face with a determined expression.

“If you don’t rely on me, who do you want to rely on?” Pei Yanlie pushed him down on the bed, his gaze piercing.

Zhou Zhou turned his head away, not looking at him, his pale face slowly covered with a blush. He awkwardly said, “Marshal Pei, I just… I want to try to stand by your side, instead of clinging to you as a weakling. Look, I’m a 185cm tall man, I can’t just rely on you to save me every time I encounter difficulties, right? I was just too lazy before, but please don’t underestimate me, I Zhou…”

Before he could finish speaking, his words were all blocked by Pei Yanlie’s mouth. Zhou Zhou’s eyes widened, and he used all his strength to try and push him away.

[Damn it, Pei Yanlie! Let me finish speaking!]

[I want to join the Federal Army, I want to be a soldier!]

    [Did you hear me!]

Pei Yanlie pinned his wrists above his head with one hand, releasing his lips. “Okay, on the condition that you stay Be goodat home during this time, and you are not allowed to go anywhere!”

Zhou Zhou took several deep breaths, wanting to retort, but thinking of the heartbreaking scene in his dream, he finally nodded.

The next day, Zhou Zhou woke up at noon. The room was filled with Pei Yanlie’s scent, and he could almost hear the other’s heavy, ambiguous breathing beside his ear.

He stretched an arm out from under the covers, and his face darkened when he saw the hickeys covering his skin.

He finally knew what had changed about Pei Yanlie. The other party had become even more perverted, and had added many more tricks to his lovemaking, leaving him feeling completely exhausted.

    “Knock, knock, knock.”

“Young Master Zhou, the meal is ready,” the housekeeper’s gentle voice sounded outside the door.

“Okay, bring it in later.” Zhou Zhou pushed himself up from the bed, the throbbing pain in his buttocks especially bothersome.

That pervert Pei Yanlie’s stamina was truly something else, tormenting him from nightfall until just before dawn, only closing his eyes to rest for a while before leaving the villa again to handle military affairs.

Zhou Zhou rested in bed for a while before slowly getting out of bed. His legs trembled uncontrollably as soon as they touched the ground, clearly having been tormented too much.

After a difficult wash, Zhou Zhou walked into the dressing room, took out a set of casual home clothes, put on comfortable slippers, and opened the door.

The housekeeper stood straight, holding a tray in one hand and a package in the other, respectfully saying, “Young Master Zhou, good afternoon. Marshal Pei asked me to give you this.”

Zhou Zhou took the package and walked two steps to the side, letting the housekeeper bring the meal into the living room, which was separated from the bedroom by a door.

“What is this?” Zhou Zhou hugged the light package, his eyes filled with curiosity and inquiry.

The housekeeper shook his head, saying he didn’t know.

After the housekeeper left the room, Zhou Zhou couldn’t be bothered to eat, and quickly opened the delicately wrapped package.

His face suddenly changed when he saw what was inside, his cheeks feeling as if they were on fire, so hot they were about to smoke.

“Pei Yanlie! Your level of perversion is too damn high!” A shameful and indignant voice broke the silence in the room, and Zhou Zhou threw the package to the side, wishing he could stomp on it a few times.

He opened his optical brain, clicked on Pei Yanlie’s micro-network account, and fiercely changed his alias.
