    Chapter 20: The Sneaky Non-Mainstreamer

After Zhou Zhou came out of the villa, he called a car to go to the center of Yucheng.

It wasn’t yet the appointed time, so he strolled around the mall, taking the opportunity to disguise himself, lest the male lead discover him and, preoccupied with catching ghosts, be in no mood for romance.

After wandering around for half an hour, he arrived at the meeting place, and after waiting a few minutes, he saw the goddess Su Wanxing walking gracefully towards him.

She wore a short, sexy, beige camisole top, completely exposing her fair, rounded shoulders. Moving the eyes downward, her slender waist was dazzlingly white.

Her lower half was clad in tight, hip-hugging denim shorts, and her two fair, slender legs were long and straight, causing the people around to stop and stare with gleaming eyes.

Wasn’t this a walking, talking beacon of light?!

Zhou Zhou shifted his gaze, only to feel a bit of an itch on his nose. He reached out to touch it and realized he was wearing a dark, drab mask.

Su Wanxing arrived at the destination and looked around for a while, then took out her phone and called Zhou Zhou’s number.

The ringtone rang nearby. She looked up in surprise at the person dressed like a thief and asked uncertainly, “Are you Zhou Zhou?”

“Yep, that’s me.” Zhou Zhou pulled down his mask, revealing a charming smile.

Su Wanxing frowned, looking at him with a complicated expression and said, “Why are you dressed like this?”

Zhou Zhou was wearing a black baseball cap, its large brim pulled down, completely obscuring his eyebrows and eyes.

He had a pair of black-framed glasses without lenses on his face, and a dark mask pulled down to below his eyelids.

His clothes were even stranger, the kind that non-mainstreamers loved to wear.

A gray sleeveless vest decorated with skull patterns, black cargo pants covered with silver-white chains, which jingled melodiously as he walked.

And leopard-print flip-flops on his feet, an eyesore.

Su Wanxing took a step back with a tense face, wanting to get away from him.

Zhou Zhou scanned her up and down, suppressing the agitation in his heart, and said calmly, “Let’s go, your true love is coming soon.”

“Okay,” Su Wanxing reluctantly followed behind him, her cheeks flushed, purely from embarrassment.

The men in the mall cast inquisitive glances at them, wondering what kind of charm this non-mainstreamer possessed to make such a fairy-like girl follow him so devotedly.

Was it that they weren’t non-mainstream enough, or were their flip-flops not enough of an eyesore?

Zhou Zhou ignored the gazes of others, led the little white flower female lead into the elevator, and headed to the third floor.

He raised his eyes, his slightly upturned phoenix eyes peeking out from under the huge brim of his cap, “Remember which fitting room it is, right?”

“Room number 7.” Su Wanxing nodded and continued to ask, “Are you sure he’ll be inside at that time?”

“Definitely. Remember to control the expression on your face when you meet him, don’t be too excited, be reserved, reserved, and reserved again, understand?” Zhou Zhou instructed again.

The little white flower female lead would become infatuated when she saw the male lead, so she couldn’t just stand there blankly and be led by the nose.

Zhou Zhou glanced at the little white flower female lead’s chest out of the corner of his eye, thinking that with such assets, Pei Yanlie wouldn’t be indifferent, right?!

The two walked out of the elevator and, after a few steps, saw Pei Yanlie leading a graceful woman in a cheongsam into a brand-name clothing store.

Su Wanxing’s eyes lit up, admiring and exclaiming, “Is that woman his mother? She’s maintained herself like a young girl.”

Zhou Zhou leaned down and gave her a reassuring promise, “Work hard, and she’ll be your mother in the future! Let her take you to enjoy the good life, eating delicious food, drinking expensive wine, and hand in hand, getting spa treatments and browsing brand-name jewelry stores.”

Su Wanxing lived in the countryside and had never experienced such a luxurious life in a wealthy family. The desire in her heart surged, wishing she could transform into a wealthy wife on the spot and buy, buy, buy in the mall.

The clothing store was very large, divided into two areas, one for men’s clothing and one for women’s clothing.

The fitting rooms were in the center, and the division between men’s and women’s was not obvious.

Zhou Zhou and Su Wanxing sneaked behind a row of clothing racks, occasionally poking their heads out to observe the two people picking out clothes not far away.

Pei Yanlie had finally changed out of the sweltering suit and tie today. He was wearing a black shirt, with one button unbuttoned at the collar, and his sexy, prominent Adam’s apple trembled slightly as he spoke.

He had rolled up his sleeves twice, revealing his wrists with smooth muscle lines. The diamond watch on his wrist was dazzling, stinging people’s eyes.

“Yanlie, does this outfit look good?” Madam Wen’s voice was gentle and soft, like the spring breeze in March, able to soothe the restlessness in people’s hearts.

Pei Yanlie did not act perfunctorily, but carefully examined her, his expression softening slightly, and he said in a light voice, “Your skin is quite fair, you look good in anything.”

Madam Wen smiled helplessly, “Pfft, whenever I go out with you, you only say this. I’ve never heard you say a word of disagreement.”

She looked her son up and down and gently chided, “You should also pick out a few outfits, don’t always wear all black, it will attract bad things.”

Madam Wen usually ate vegetarian food and believed in Buddhism, and she deeply believed in ghosts and spirits.

Pei Yanlie frowned almost imperceptibly. No wonder the evil spirit approached him again and again, so it was because he was wearing too much black?

A dark light flashed in his dark eyes. He pursed his lips, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly, and nodded in deep agreement.

Seeing Pei Yanlie walking towards the men’s clothing area, Zhou Zhou led Su Wanxing over, and the two of them occasionally huddled together, whispering to each other.

The saleswoman in the clothing store blushed and walked to Pei Yanlie, asking, “Sir, would you like me to pick out some styles for you to try on?”

Pei Yanlie responded in a very faint voice.

The saleswoman became excited, taking one garment after another, her mouth chattering non-stop, wishing she could promote the entire store’s clothing.

[Her mouth is so dry from talking, when will she stop?]

[My bladder is about to explode, hurry up!]

Pei Yanlie’s expression changed. He raised his cold, piercing eyes and inconspicuously scanned his surroundings.

It’s the evil spirit! I don’t know where it’s hiding!

Suddenly, a head wearing a baseball cap poked out from beside the rack displaying suit pants, its sneaky appearance like a little thief stealing chickens and dogs.

[Big brother, what are you looking at? Hurry up and get some clothes to change into!]

[Don’t go into the wrong fitting room! Go to room number 7, room number 7!]

[I’ll let your wife go in to accompany you later, put in some effort! Don’t scare her to tears!]

Pei Yanlie quickly scanned the sneaky figure, the corner of his mouth rising in a sarcastic arc, his whole body exuding a strong baleful aura.

The saleswoman next to him immediately closed her mouth, her heart skipped a beat, and she handed two sets of clothes to him with trembling hands, “Go… go try on the clothes first.”

“Mm,” Pei Yanlie took the clothes, took a long stride and walked towards the fitting rooms.

The heavy footsteps gradually faded away. Zhou Zhou stood up, and seeing Pei Yanlie walk into the fitting room, the corner of his lips curled into a determined smile.

“Let’s go, it’s your turn to go on stage.” He turned his head, looked at the little white flower female lead with a shy expression, and said in a voice as light as a whisper.
