Chapter 19: Straight Bro Flirting with His Secret Crush?

Zhou Zhou sat on the wide, two-meter bed for a full ten minutes before he could bring himself to look around the dimly lit room.

The room’s decor was the opposite of the gloomy Zhou family home, mainly in warm tones.

Warm yellow walls, a creamy white wardrobe, creamy white bedding – everything exuded warmth.

Zhou Zhou wasn’t used to this style. He got up and walked barefoot to the curtains. With a “whoosh,” he pulled them open.

Pale golden sunlight suddenly shone on his face. He squinted and slowly walked onto the balcony.

The villa was nestled against the mountains and by the water, with charming scenery. It was obviously expensive.

He leaned on the railing and looked down, muttering, “Looks like Zhou Jin is richer than Zhou Hongwei.”

He took out his phone from his pocket and glanced at the time. It was almost noon. Thinking about his plans for the afternoon, he grinned. “The third plan is about to begin. Pei Yanlie, get ready!”

Humming an unrecognizable tune, he left the room and went downstairs to the first floor of the villa.

“How does it taste? This is a new dish I researched yesterday.”

A gentle male voice sounded from the dining room.

Zhou Zhou stopped and looked in the direction of the voice.

He saw a strikingly handsome man with shoulder-length hair standing next to Zhou Jin. Thick eyebrows, amorous peach blossom eyes, a high nose, rosy Cupid’s bow lips, and a beautifully curved chin slightly lifted, with a gentle smile on his face.

Damn it! It was actually the man the original Zhou Zhou had a secret crush on, Gu Yuanci!

This is a homosexual, homosexual, homosexual…

He immediately retreated a few steps. His heel suddenly hit the stairs, causing him to lose his balance and fall on his butt.

With a “thump,” Gu Yuanci and Zhou Jin both looked over.

Zhou Jin frowned, his lips, slightly stained with sauce, parted slightly. “Sleeping until noon, still drunk?”

Gu Yuanci waved at him, his voice gentle as water. “Little Zhou, long time no see.”

Zhou Zhou felt a strange current run through him, making his scalp tingle.

He stood up with a stiff face and walked with rigid steps to the side of the dining room, responding with a faint sound.

A trace of surprise flashed across Gu Yuanci’s face. In the past, Zhou Zhou had always been excited and shy when he saw him.

Zhou Zhou lowered his head slightly, pulled out a chair, and sat down. After calming down, he resumed his lazy posture and waved at him, his smile not quite a smile. “Big Brother Gu still likes to research new dishes as always.”

After speaking, his gaze landed on the table. Several exquisite Western-style dishes were arranged there.

He couldn’t help but swallow his saliva. He raised his eyes to look directly at Gu Yuanci and slowly asked, “Can I try some?”

Gu Yuanci sat down, propping his chin with both hands, his eyes curving as he said, “Yes, eat and give me your comments.”

Being stared at by a homosexual like this, Zhou Zhou shifted his butt uncomfortably, reached out, and picked up a piece of an exquisite, unidentifiable dish to eat.

His drooping eyelids instantly widened. His clear phoenix eyes contained a trace of pleasure. What was this? It was so delicious that he felt like he was floating.

Zhou Jin raised his hand to adjust his glasses. Seeing his younger brother’s enjoying expression, he hooked his lips and joked, “Looking at that expression, it’s a pity you’re not doing a food broadcast.”

Gu Yuanci chuckled and echoed, “That’s a good idea. Little Zhou, are you interested in being a food broadcaster at my shop?”

He swallowed the food and said casually, “I’m busy going to school and chasing girls. I don’t have time.”

Gu Yuanci nodded, his eyes still carrying a hint of suspicion. Had he really given up on him? Had he really straightened himself out after being bent for so long?

He turned his head to look at Zhou Jin, his confusion obvious.

Zhou Jin cleared his throat and explained in a low voice, “Don’t worry, he’s fallen in love with someone else.”

Gu Yuanci suddenly understood, drawing out the sound as he lightly said, “Oh~.”

Zhou Zhou slowed down his eating speed, chewing the crisp ham, too lazy to even lift his eyelids. He said faintly, “Don’t think I don’t know you’re talking about me behind my back.”

He raised his eyes, his gaze wandering over them, and bluntly asked, “Are you two together?”

Zhou Jin was dumbfounded, looking like he had no idea what Zhou Zhou was talking about.

Gu Yuanci straightened up, his earlobes quietly turning red. He gestured with his eyes for Zhou Zhou to stop talking.

Oh, so Straight Bro was still in the dark. Didn’t he know that Gu Yuanci was gay?

Zhou Zhou understood. Zhou Jin really didn’t know that Gu Yuanci was gay. He only knew that his younger brother liked Gu Yuanci, only knew that his younger brother was gay.

Zhou Zhou was speechless. Anyone with eyes could tell that there was something fishy between them. What kind of friend would run over to your house in the middle of the day to bring you food and drink!

He narrowed his eyes slightly and stared straight at his dazed older brother. Seeing him comfortably enjoying the loving meal prepared by his friend, he couldn’t help but complain, “Looking at you eating with sauce all over your mouth, is it that delicious?”

Zhou Jin’s movements paused. He put down his chopsticks, picked up the wet towel next to him, and wiped his mouth. His gaze swept over Zhou Zhou’s mouth and he sneered, “You’re no better. It really is delicious, isn’t it?”

Zhou Zhou nodded, generously admitting, “Big Brother Gu’s cooking skills are comparable to those of a five-star hotel chef. Even a casually fried egg is better than anything you can make.”

Zhou Jin, who had once blown up the kitchen, darkened his face. Just as he was about to retort, a loving fried egg was stuffed into his mouth, blocking the words that were about to come out.

An ambiguous atmosphere filled the dining room. Zhou Zhou was full and slipped away. Before leaving, he didn’t forget to drop a line, “I’m going on a date with my goddess. I won’t disturb your loving rendezvous.”

Gu Yuanci gritted his teeth, wishing he could catch this troublemaker and tape his mouth shut.

He had been secretly in love with Zhou Jin for five years. He couldn’t let all his efforts go to waste.

Zhou Jin coughed a few times, glancing at the silent Gu Yuanci out of the corner of his eye. He softened his voice and explained, “Little Zhou has become a lot more lively since going to his new school. He inevitably speaks in a somewhat erratic manner. Don’t mind it. He really has fallen in love with someone else. He won’t bother you anymore. Don’t worry.”

Gu Yuanci concealed the desolate look in his eyes and raised the corners of his mouth in a faint smile, asking, “Who did he fall in love with?”

“Pei Yanlie,” he said without hesitation.

The two had known each other for nearly ten years. They were friends and confidants who could talk about anything, so there was nothing to hide.

Gu Yuanci’s pupils contracted slightly, his tone carrying a hint of uncertainty. “Is that the cold and detached heir of the Pei family?”

    “Um, it’s him.”

“Why would Little Zhou be so foolish as to fall for him?”

“What else could he be after? His good looks, of course.” Zhou Jin’s lips twitched slightly.

“Tsk, tsk, it seems Little Zhou really is obsessed with appearances.” Gu Yuanci’s words held a bit more understanding.

Zhou Jin raised an eyebrow and teased, “Heh, otherwise why would he have taken a fancy to you?”

Gu Yuanci’s face turned red. He glared at him and said, “Besides my appearance, don’t I have any other merits in your heart?”

Zhou Jin chuckled softly, a trace of red appearing at the corners of his eyes. The beauty mark below his eye trembled slightly with his smile.

Gu Yuanci pursed his lips, looked away, and his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.

The dining room fell silent. The two were silent for a long time.

Zhou Jin picked up his chopsticks again, his voice low and magnetic. “You have many good qualities, so many that I don’t know where to start. I’m speechless for a moment.”

Gu Yuanci was amused and chuckled, his peach blossom eyes curving into a beautiful shape.
