    Chapter 184: Hair is Crooked

    Chapter 184 Hair is Crooked

Starry Sky Era 4025, November 11th.

Inside a regular patient room on the eighth floor of the Main Star Federal Hospital, a young man dressed in a sky-blue patient gown sat quietly on the hospital bed, tilting his head to look out the window in a daze.

Overly long, fragmented hair hung over his sharply defined eyebrows and eyes. His eyelids drooped lazily, his long, curled eyelashes distinct and separate, shielding his slightly narrow phoenix eyes and casting a small shadow beneath his eyelids.

A straight nose and thin lips, with a pale lip color, gave his fair and flawless face a hint of sickness.

    “Knock, knock, knock.”

A knock sounded on the door, accompanied by a voice: “Doctor’s rounds.”

Zhou Zhou snapped out of his reverie, stretched lazily, then yawned, a few tears welling up in the corner of his eyes.

The door opened, and five doctors in white coats walked in slowly. Leading them was an old doctor with half-white hair. He opened the light brain on his wrist, designated for inpatient use, and asked slowly, “It’s been a week since you woke up. Have you remembered anything?”

Zhou Zhou crossed his legs and sat on the bed, yawning again. He tugged at the corner of his mouth, forming a nonchalant smile, his voice lazy and slightly hoarse, “You’re saying I was trapped in a game world for more than two months? Isn’t that just bullshit? Don’t give me this mystical stuff. What’s your purpose? Why do you draw a tube of my blood every day? Also, where’s my light brain? You have no right to remove my light brain without permission!”

Director Yao gritted his teeth tightly, his forehead throbbing. Since this person woke up, he hadn’t cooperated with the examination at all. Ask him one question, and he’ll retort with ten, making you feel like your blood is flowing backward.

A week ago, the researchers from the Federal Association implemented mandatory recall measures on him. Because his emotional fluctuations were too large, his brain automatically triggered a protection mechanism, and all memories of that world were hidden deep within his mind.

According to EEG testing, he could recover his memory in as little as a week, or as long as two months.

The lunatics at the research institute were anxiously waiting, urging the hospital every day to ask Zhou Zhou if he had recovered his memory, and drawing his blood for research under various pretexts.

Although Director Yao had misgivings, he couldn’t contend with the research institute and could only follow their wishes, doing his job and asking Zhou Zhou the same three questions every day.

However, Zhou Zhou was impervious to persuasion and never answered the question, leaving him utterly helpless.

Zhou Zhou raised an eyebrow, exuding a casual and unrestrained ruffian charm, “What? No more to say? Feeling guilty?”

“I feel fine now. Please return my light brain as soon as possible. I want to go home.” Zhou Zhou stood up, looking down at Director Yao.

He was 185cm tall, with excellent proportions, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist, a natural clothes horse. Even in a loose-fitting patient gown, he couldn’t hide those straight, long legs.

Standing on the bed, his head almost touched the ceiling. Because he had been lying in bed for more than two months, he had lost more than ten pounds, making him look even taller and slender, but without much imposing presence.

“The hospital has notified your parents, and they will be here tomorrow.” Director Yao took two steps back, raising his head to meet Zhou Zhou’s dark, clear eyes.

Zhou Zhou put on a serious face and said earnestly, “I want to be discharged.”

“Without the consent of the Federal Association, no recovered individuals can be discharged on their own.” Director Yao’s tone carried a hint of helplessness.

You think I don’t want to let you go?

You are now seen as a piece of fat by the research institute. I’m afraid you’ll be grabbed by those lunatics and taken to the laboratory as soon as you step out of the hospital.

“Heh, illegal imprisonment.” Zhou Zhou frowned, his expression full of displeasure, “If you want me to cooperate, return my light brain first.”

Director Yao hesitated for a moment and said, “I will apply to the staff of the Federal Association later, but I can’t guarantee that I can get it back.”

“Oh, we’ll see after you apply.” Zhou Zhou jumped off the bed, put on the hospital’s special white medical slippers, and walked slowly towards the bathroom, “You guys go out first. Don’t expect me to cooperate with the examination without my light brain.”

He stopped in front of the sink, looked at himself in the mirror with hair as long as a non-mainstream hairstyle, and curled his lip, “Do you have a hairstylist here? My hair is too long and keeps poking my eyes.”

A female doctor who came with him took out a hair tie from her pocket and walked to the bathroom door, “The hospital is not a hair salon. Tie your hair up first. If you really can’t stand it, get a pair of scissors and cut it yourself.”

Zhou Zhou tilted his head to glance at the female doctor. Seeing that she was unfamiliar and looked pure and pretty, he casually asked, “Are you a new intern doctor? I haven’t seen you before.”

The female doctor coughed lightly, put the hair tie in his hand, and quickly walked back behind Director Yao, her fair cheeks slightly flushed.

This young man looked only about twenty years old, but he was extremely handsome, especially those phoenix eyes like a fox spirit, captivating with every frown and smile.

Her heart beat faster for a few seconds. However, thinking that she already had a boyfriend, she took a light breath and thought to herself: Comparing people is infuriating. Her boyfriend is the director of surgery in the hospital, quite famous, but he looks very ordinary and has a dull and taciturn personality. Besides submitting his salary to her on time, there are no other romantic gestures.

She was only nineteen years old, in the prime of her life, pursuing romance and excitement, but was forced to be with the 30-year-old director. This was due to the marriage allocation policy issued by the Federal Association, which stipulated that any man who was over thirty, had made significant contributions to the Starry Sky Era, and had not yet found a girlfriend would be forcibly matched with an object by the Federal Association.

The good name was to increase the birth rate of newborns and inherit excellent genes.

    Unfortunately, she was chosen.

Alas, she could have had freedom in love and chosen the man she liked to date, but who knew it would be so Scare dad.

While she was lost in thought, Zhou Zhou had already tied a crooked half-ponytail, revealing a smooth, full forehead and thick, handsome eyebrows.

“Your hair is crooked.” The female doctor’s obsessive-compulsive disorder flared up, her fingers itching, wanting to walk over and straighten his ponytail.

Zhou Zhou raised his thick eyebrows slightly, smiling noncommittally, “Do you want to tie it for me?”

“Ahem, pay attention to your influence. The hospital is not a place for romance.” Director Yao glanced at him, leading the doctors out of the ward.

“Remember my light brain.” Zhou Zhou walked to the door of the ward and poked his head out, reminding him again.

On both sides of the door stood security guards in gray uniforms. Seeing that Zhou Zhou wanted to come out, they put on stern faces and reached out to stop him, “The Federal Association stipulates that you cannot step out of the ward for the time being.”

“Open your eyes and take a good look. Is this one step?”

It’s clearly only half a step!

Zhou Zhou leaned one shoulder against the door frame, his gaze sweeping across the hospital corridor.

Cleaning robots and medical robots shuttled back and forth, full of a sense of technology.

Zhou Zhou patted the shoulder of the person next to him, his slightly rosy thin lips slightly hooked, his eyes twinkling, as bright as stars, “Brother, are you from the Federal Association?”

The security guard with a square face had been single for thirty-five years, and at this moment, he was dazed by the person’s fake smile. He was very sure that he was straight and could never be tempted by him.

He tensed up, his face flushed red. The security guard standing on the other side couldn’t help but ask, “Are you having stomach problems and can’t hold it in? Go quickly, don’t piss your pants.”

Zhou Zhou frowned, took two steps back, and closed the door without hesitation.

He scratched his head a little irritably. According to the doctor, he had been lying in the hospital for more than two months. Judging from the length of his hair, the doctor’s words were 100% true.

Carefully recalling the scene more than two months ago, he was addicted to the transmigration game at the time. He had been hanging on nutrient solutions for a week, and just as he was about to break through a level in the game, he suddenly lost consciousness.

He had lived alone, away from his parents, since the age of 20, with no regularity in his life. He often traveled with his friends, drinking and partying were commonplace, and the girls who liked him could circle the Xingyang Tower once…

Speaking of girls, he had to mention his girlfriend, whom he had gotten his hands on in three days. After not seeing her for so long, she wouldn’t have fallen for someone else, would she?!
