TLCBITAR Chapter 165
by VolareChapter 165: Looking Like a Little Fox Spirit
The two had dinner at a six-star restaurant, rested for a moment, and then strolled around a large shopping mall nearby.
Pei Yanlie held Zhou Zhou’s hand and walked into a luxury watch store.
“President Pei, hello. The limited-edition watch you pre-ordered from us last time has arrived. Would you like to wear it now?” A female employee in a black uniform mini-skirt greeted them with a smile.
Her eyes glanced, seemingly inadvertently, at the boy next to him, and she thought to herself: Is this President Pei’s little lover? He looks like a little fox spirit.
Zhou Zhou noticed her gaze and gave her a faint glance.
Pei Yanlie led him to sit down on the sofa and instructed the female employee to bring out the watch.
“It wouldn’t be another diamond watch, would it?” Zhou Zhou asked curiously.
[Watch maniac, diamond maniac, you could open an exhibition with the watches you have at home.]
“I pre-ordered it half a month ago. This watch is a limited edition pair worldwide; they’re couple watches.” Pei Yanlie took his wrist and gently massaged it.
Zhou Zhou paused. “You pre-ordered couple watches half a month ago? You were determined to have me in your clutches?!”
Pei Yanlie amusedly played with his hand. “You could say that.”
The female employee walked over in high heels, holding a tray. “President Pei, would you like me to help you put it on?”
Zhou Zhou’s eyelids fluttered slightly, and he raised his eyes to stare at her, a half-smile on his face. “Why don’t you help me put it on?”
As soon as he finished speaking, the man next to him became jealous. His icy gaze swept across the female employee’s face. He reached out, took the watch, and said coldly, “No need.”
The female employee turned pale with fright, replied, and turned to leave.
“Zhou Zhou, tell me, where does it itch?” Pei Yanlie put the understated, luxurious black diamond watch on Zhou Zhou’s left wrist and asked, suppressing his emotions.
Zhou Zhou lowered his eyes slightly, looking at the dazzling watch on his wrist, and muttered, “Anyway, not my ass.”
He took the watch from Pei Yanlie and carefully helped him put it on. “You’re giving me such an expensive thing; aren’t you afraid I’ll run away halfway?”
Pei Yanlie raised his eyebrows and teased, “You can try.”
“What would be the consequences?” Zhou Zhou met his burning gaze, swallowing hard.
Pei Yanlie leaned close to his ear and whispered, “Locked in a little black room, unable to get out of bed for a month.”
Zhou Zhou: …
[Pervert!]
[Aren’t you afraid of breaking Pei-shidi?]
Pei Yanlie chuckled, wrapped his arm around his tense waist, and led him up to leave. “Scared?”
“No, you’re just good at bluffing.” Zhou Zhou didn’t take it seriously.
Pei Yanlie pursed his lips, his voice low and dangerous. “Zhou Zhou, you can’t escape. Even if you hide at the ends of the earth, I will find you. So, you better stay by my side obediently.”
[Tsk, such domineering words.]
Zhou Zhou squeezed his palm hard and said unhappily, “Your overbearing aura is suffocating me.”
They arrived at the company at two in the afternoon.
Pei Yanlie took out a small speaker and placed it on the bedside table in the lounge to play soothing Buddhist scriptures.
Zhou Zhou lay on his back on the bed, his legs crossed and occasionally swinging. He asked slowly, “Aren’t you going to sleep?”
“You sleep first. I have a meeting to attend later.” Pei Yanlie sat beside him, leaned down to kiss his forehead, and whispered, “Sleep, and when you wake up, I’ll prepare a lavish afternoon tea for you.”
“I’ll be fattened up by you sooner or later.” Zhou Zhou put down his legs, changed his position, turned sideways, and curled up slightly.
A large hand landed on his side, caressing him ambiguously. Zhou Zhou slapped his hand away. “Go to work; I’m sleepy.”
[Big brother, don’t touch! If you touch any more, something will happen.]
Pei Yanlie was reluctant to leave, looking at him intently for a long time before standing up and leaving the lounge.
Seeing him leave, Zhou Zhou’s tense body gradually relaxed. He slowly exhaled, listening to the familiar scriptures, his eyelids gradually heavy until he fell into a dream.
“Beep beep beep…”
A strange sound vaguely reached his ears.
He wanted to open his eyes, but his eyelids were extremely heavy. He wanted to raise his hand, but struggled in vain. His whole body felt as if it were being pressed down by something heavy, and even breathing was extremely difficult.
Sleep paralysis?
He didn’t know how long had passed, but a tube was stuffed into his mouth, and oxygen instantly reached his lungs, the feeling of suffocation disappeared.
Someone was talking next to him, but he couldn’t hear what they were saying.
Wasn’t he in Pei Yanlie’s lounge? What’s going on?
Zhou Zhou struggled to move his fingers. The “beep beep beep” sound became more and more piercing.
Accompanied by hurried footsteps, his body was lifted up by someone and then laid on something cold and hard.
The “buzzing” sound lingered in his ears, and Zhou Zhou felt a sense of fear for no reason. Where was this? Pei Yanlie, where was Pei Yanlie?!
Suddenly, his eyes were flooded with light. Even through his eyelids, he knew that he was being illuminated by a strong light.
He didn’t know how long it had passed, but a voice clearly reached his ears, “Vital signs are stable; administer nutrient solution.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Zhou suddenly opened his eyes, sat up, and gasped for breath. He stared blankly at the familiar lounge and murmured, “What a bullshit dream.”
He took out his phone and looked at it. It was already four in the afternoon. He had unknowingly slept for two hours.
There were voices outside the lounge. Zhou Zhou sat on the bed and calmed down for a while before getting out of bed, putting on his shoes, and walking lightly to open the door.
Pei Yanlie was sitting at his desk, talking to a man with a proper face.
The man heard the noise from the lounge, looked over, and his probing gaze swept over Zhou Zhou, a look of shock flashing in his eyes.
He subconsciously covered his vibrating wrist, with a thoughtful expression on his face.
“President Pei, are there any changes to the schedule for the rest of the day?” the man asked respectfully.
“The six o’clock appointment is pushed back; everything else proceeds as usual. Is there anything else?” Pei Yanlie stood up and walked towards the lounge.
“There are no other matters for the time being. I’ll go arrange the meeting materials.” The man gave Zhou Zhou a meaningful look, turned, and walked out of the office.
Zhou Zhou was confused. “Why was he staring at me like that?”
Pei Yanlie put his arm around him. “He’s Secretary Yuan. He just came back from a half-month vacation. It’s probably shocking for him to see you for the first time.”
Zhou Zhou scratched his messy hair, raised his red phoenix eyes to look at Pei Yanlie, his voice slightly hoarse. “I think I just had sleep paralysis. I wanted to call for you, but I couldn’t open my mouth.”
Pei Yanlie soothingly ruffled his hair, his eyes filled with heartache. “It’s okay. I’m here.”
He led Zhou Zhou to sit on the sofa, poured him a glass of warm water, and, seeing him finish it, put his arm around him again, gently patting his back and coaxing, “I’ll sleep with you from now on. Don’t be afraid.”
Zhou Zhou laughed, staying quietly in his arms for a while before sitting up. “With President Pei by my side, no demons or ghosts would dare to approach.”
Pei Yanlie pinched his chin, lowered his head, and kissed his lips, intertwining gently and exchanging their breath.
“Knock knock knock.”
The knock on the door interrupted their kiss. Pei Yanlie let go of him and said in a hoarse voice, “Little Zhou, you’re so good.”
Zhou Zhou: …
