Chapter 161: I Want to Be Your Boyfriend
Seeing the police officer being so respectful to Qin Yang, Chen Qihang pursed his lips, a complex emotion rising in his eyes.
Qin Yang pulled him to the side and asked in a low voice, “Hanghang, what do you think? Do you want to bail him out?”
Chen Qihang shook his head, his voice cold, “If you do something wrong, you should accept the punishment. I won’t indulge him.”
Qin Yang nodded, not interfering.
Chen’s sister-in-law and niece stopped crying and followed Chen Qihang and Qin Yang out of the police station.
“You guys should go home.” Chen Qihang turned to look at them, his expression indifferent, unreadable.
“Xiaohang, now that your brother is going to jail, how are our mother and daughter supposed to live? All the savings at home were stolen by your brother to gamble, and now we’re heavily in debt. I might as well take Yuyu and jump into the river.” As she spoke, she started crying again.
The little girl, influenced by her mother, also cried along, saying, “Uncle, please let us stay. Yuyu doesn’t want to go back to the countryside. The house Grandma left behind leaks when it rains, and Yuyu’s bed is always wet.”
Qin Yang frowned tightly, his cold gaze piercing Chen’s sister-in-law, and he scolded in a deep voice, “You have hands and feet, why don’t you go to work? Do you expect a student to support you?”
“I don’t have much education. I want to work, but no one wants me. What can I do?” Chen’s sister-in-law retorted, crying.
“Yuyu is still studying in the countryside. Don’t harm her because of your selfishness. Grudges between adults shouldn’t involve her.” Chen Qihang lowered his eyes, looking at his niece, who only reached his waist, and continued, “Go back and study hard. Uncle will sponsor your tuition and fees until you graduate from elementary school.”
Then, he raised his eyes to look at Chen’s sister-in-law, and said mercilessly, “As for other expenses, you can figure it out yourself, sister-in-law. I won’t give you a single penny. Forget about it.”
Chen’s sister-in-law bit her lip, wanting to say something, but was stopped by a fierce look from Qin Yang.
Chen Qihang bent down, reached out and placed his hand on his niece’s head, gently rubbing it, his voice softening a little, “Promise Uncle, study hard.”
Chen Yu’s face was still wet with tears. She raised her small hand and wiped it vigorously, nodding firmly.
After putting the mother and daughter on the high-speed train, Chen Qihang’s tense shoulders relaxed. Qin Yang patted him on the shoulder reassuringly.
Chen Qihang brushed his hand away, glancing at him lightly, and said in a low voice, “What are you, a big shot, doing following me?”
Qin Yang’s face fell, a bitter smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, “Hanghang, I didn’t know Zhǎn shén was you before. It’s my fault.”
“No, you’re not wrong. Being shitted on by you just means I’m not skilled enough. Since we’re mortal enemies, there’s no need for us to be entangled together, right?” Chen Qihang straightened his face and took a step back.
“Not mortal enemies, but bickering lovers.” Qin Yang’s voice was much weaker, his green eyes flashing with tears, filled with grievance. “Hanghang, if you’re not happy, just hit me. If you want to stuff dog shit, just stuff it. I’ll just stand here and let you vent.”
Chen Qihang sneered and turned to leave, “If you’re itching for a beating, go find someone else to beat you. I’m not interested.”
Qin Yang followed closely behind him, his eyelids drooping, looking like an aggrieved wife.
Chen Qihang didn’t want to go back to the dorm, after all, there was a tagalong behind him, but he didn’t know where to go for a while.
Qin Yang’s eyes lit up, and he suggested, “I’ll take you to the amusement park to have some fun and relax. Can I?”
Chen Qihang didn’t refuse or agree, not knowing if he had heard, he lowered his eyes and stared at his phone.
His right hand was suddenly held by a warm, large hand. Qin Yang held his hand tightly, leading him towards the entrance of the high-speed rail station.
Chen Qihang struggled a few times, but couldn’t break free, “I didn’t say I wanted to go!”
Qin Yang called a DiDi, tightening his grip on his hand, “Didn’t we agree to go on a haunted house adventure before?”
Chen Qihang turned his face away, not looking at him, and said coldly, “Before was before, now is now. I don’t want to go with you.”
How could this person be so thick-skinned? Didn’t I curse him hard enough?
He turned his head back, raised his eyes and looked at Qin Yang, seeing crystal tears welling up in his eyes, and was stunned for a moment.
Damn it, is he even a man, crying at the drop of a hat!
Qin Yang sniffed, shook Chen Qihang’s hand, and said in a hoarse voice, “But I want to go with you.”
Chen Qihang said very firmly, “You’re pretending to be pitiful!”
“No, my heart is relatively fragile, and I can’t accept you rejecting me.” Qin Yang turned his head away, explaining in a muffled voice.
Chen Qihang twitched the corner of his mouth, inwardly muttering: He looks like an ox, yet he’s fragile? Does he think I’ll believe that?
At this moment, the DiDi stopped in front of them. Qin Yang quickly opened the door, pushed him into the back seat, and then squeezed in next to him.
He held Chen Qihang’s clenched fist with both hands, smiling and saying, “Hanghang, thank you. You’re so kind.”
“I’m really impressed by you.” Chen Qihang sighed, suddenly pulling his hand back, moving his body to the other side, secretly feeling depressed.
The carriage was quiet, silent. The driver was not a quiet person, and started to strike up a conversation, “You two are a couple, right?”
Chen Qihang: “No.”
Qin Yang: “Yes!”
The two looked at each other, Chen Qihang taking the lead in shifting his gaze, silently biting his teeth, and whispering, “Shameless, who’s your boyfriend?”
“You are.” Qin Yang heard it and replied softly.
The driver interrupted their conversation, and continued, “It’s normal for couples to argue. People say anything when they’re angry, it’s all just hot air, don’t take it to heart. My husband and I argue every three days and fight every seven days, but we’ve still been together for more than ten years, still loving each other. Small quarrels are a bit of fun, no harm done.”
Chen Qihang silently turned his head and glanced at the driver, a middle-aged uncle in his forties, wearing glasses, looking quite refined.
Qin Yang nodded, expressing his agreement, and echoed, “This elder brother looks like he’s been there, done that. I’m a little curious what you argue about.”
The driver laughed, the fine lines at the corners of his eyes revealing the traces of time. He looked up at the rearview mirror and said slowly, “It’s all small things. My husband is very jealous. Whenever I get together with other people, he gets angry, but I can’t always indulge him. In order to make him get rid of his bad habit of being jealous, I resolutely came out to be a driver.”
…
The driver talked all the way until they reached their destination, then stopped.
Chen Qihang watched as a man in a suit and leather shoes walked over not far away, looking no more than thirty years old. He came menacingly, holding a large bouquet of roses in his hand, and abruptly opened the driver’s door, giving the driver a passionate kiss.
The driver was perhaps used to the man’s domineering behavior, and was very obedient, not resisting, and even hugged his neck and responded vigorously.
Qin Yang quickly opened the door, grabbed Chen Qihang’s hand and signaled him to get out of the car.
Before leaving, the driver was finally released, slumped in the car seat, panting, and waving weakly at them, “See you again if we’re destined…”
The stimulating scene made Chen Qihang’s face flushed red. He was pulled by Qin Yang into the amusement park, raised his eyes to look at the domineering yet gentle man in front of him, and muttered, “Only this once, never again. Don’t expect me to pay attention to you unless you defeat Black Spider.”
Qin Yang didn’t hear his mumbling, and took his beloved Hangbao to play all over the amusement park.
Chen Qihang overestimated his courage. After coming out of the haunted house, he was almost gone, glaring fiercely at the smiling Qin.
He had lost a lot of face. He had actually shrunk into Qin Yang’s arms and shivered the whole time. Seeing that Qin Yang was still smiling, he suppressed the urge to slap him and looked away with a dark face.
Qin Yang bought a retractable toy sword from a nearby shop, stuffed it into his hand, and said with a straight face, suppressing his laughter, “Stab me if you’re unhappy.”
“What do you mean, treat me like a kid?!” Chen Qihang looked at the toy sword in his hand and laughed in anger.
Qin Yang raised his hand and covered his head, his expression serious, “You do look like a kid when you’re angry.”
Chen Qihang was furious, stabbing him in the chest with the sword, and scolding in a low voice, “Get lost!”
“I won’t get lost alone, let’s get lost together.” Qin Yang replied shamelessly. He once again took Chen Qihang’s hand, leading him through the crowd, ignoring the strange gazes of others, and said slowly, “Hanghang, I want to be your boyfriend.”
Chen Qihang didn’t answer, lowering his eyes to look at their clasped hands, pursing his lips, and looking away.
