Chapter 12: Drunk on Foreign Liquor, All the Way to Grandma’s Bridge

As deep night descended, the nightlife officially kicked off.

Zhou Zhou and his group of four took a taxi to the bar street in Yucheng’s city center.

The deafening music roared, and the colorful neon lights flashed with dazzling brilliance.

Zhou Zhou felt quite novel about it all, after all, the bars in the future interstellar era didn’t look like this.

Lin Sheng looked around and suggested, “Let’s go to Yuhua Bar, it’s a bit more high-end. The other bars are too chaotic and easily lead to brawls.”

“Yuhua is a high-end club, right? Won’t the drinks be very expensive?” Qu Minghui hesitated, after all, his old man didn’t give him much for living expenses.

Zhou Zhou glanced at him, his words carrying a hint of playfulness, “Don’t hesitate, your Zhou-ge is treating you to a good time tonight.”

Qu Minghui’s eyes lit up, and he shamelessly flattered, “Zhou-ge is mighty, Zhou-ge is generous! Following Zhou-ge means eating spicy food, drinking fine wine, picking up girls, and having fun!”

“You’re welcome, from now on, I’ll call you Ass-kissing Hui. Let’s go, don’t stand here like monkeys being watched.” Zhou Zhou raised his eyebrows, a hint of a smile in his eyes, and strode forward.

Chen Qihang lowered his head slightly, his face flushed red, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into.

He had a crookedly tied-up bun on his head, and his black-framed glasses were gone, fully exposing his delicate face.

He tugged at the white t-shirt with several holes cut into it, and gritted his teeth, muttering in a low voice, “Damn it, they even ripped my clothes. I won’t be a gentleman if I don’t avenge this!”

He raised his eyes and glared fiercely at the tall figure in front of him, his gaze falling on his feet, thinking to himself, ‘To come to a high-end club wearing flip-flops, what a badass!’

It was one thing for him to wear them himself, but he forced others to wear them with him.

Thus, the four college students wearing flip-flops attracted a lot of strange looks as soon as they walked into the high-end club.

Zhou Zhou leaned lazily against the booth, his legs crossed and gently swaying.

He held a glass of deep blue liquid in his hand, with a profound expression, “What do they know? Where I come from, those who wear flip-flops are the big shots, hiding their wealth, ready to pull out hundreds of millions to throw around for fun.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a scantily clad beauty walked up to him and asked for his phone number.

Zhou Zhou smiled ambiguously at her, and readily exchanged contact information.

After the beauty left, Qu Minghui snapped out of his shock, grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds and began to eat them, staring intently at Zhou Zhou and saying, “So Zhou-ge is a hidden rich man!”

Lin Sheng echoed, “No wonder no one used to hit on us, it turns out we weren’t wearing flip-flops!”

“Without further ado, let’s go have some fun on the dance floor!”

Qu Minghui stood up excitedly and ran into the crowd in his flip-flops.

“You guys go play, I’m going to the restroom.” With that, Zhou Zhou finished the drink in his glass in one gulp.

The spicy liquor slid down his throat, and a surge of heat spread through his stomach, immediately turning his face red.

Lin Sheng leaned over and sized up Zhou Zhou, teasing him with a smile, “You wouldn’t be drunk after just one glass, would you?”

Zhou Zhou scoffed and retorted, “Don’t overthink it, your Zhou-ge here can drink a thousand cups without getting drunk.”

He stood up and walked towards the restroom.

He said he could drink a thousand cups without getting drunk, but his body’s reaction was very honest.

He shook his head, his brows furrowed, it seemed he had overestimated his alcohol tolerance.

To get lightheaded after just one glass of foreign liquor was truly outrageous!

As soon as he walked into the restroom, he vaguely saw a tall figure.

The man was wearing a crisp black shirt, with the top three buttons undone, the lines of his neck extending to his collarbone were sensual and smooth, and his full chest muscles were firm and powerful, making him look like someone not to be trifled with.

[Huh? Why does this person look so much like Pei Yanlie?]

Zhou Zhou narrowed his eyes and sized him up, the more he looked, the more he thought it looked like him.

Then, his phoenix eyes widened, and he silently cursed through gritted teeth.

[He actually came to a bar to pick up girls? Impressive!]

Pei Yanlie slowly and deliberately pulled out a paper towel, wiped the water droplets from his hands, and the dazzling diamond watch reflected a bright light, piercing Zhou Zhou’s eyes.

Zhou Zhou took a step back, frowned tightly, and raised his hand to cover his eyes.

    [Ah! I’m blind!]

Pei Yanlie’s brow furrowed slightly, his expression dark and unclear, and his cold gaze lingered on him for a moment before falling on his feet.

What came into view were ordinary black flip-flops, a dazzlingly white instep, and neatly trimmed toes, slightly curled, with nail beds that had a thin layer of red.

[Did I step on dog shit? Why is he staring at my feet?]

Zhou Zhou raised his foot to take a look, didn’t find anything abnormal, and inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing that the male lead was still standing next to him, examining him without moving, he couldn’t help but tense up, took a few steps to the faucet, bent over, and randomly washed his face.

Because of the bending over, the loose t-shirt naturally hung below the sink, making his waist even narrower.

Looking down, his perky, full buttocks were covered by the hem of the t-shirt.

Pei Yanlie observed him calmly, trying to find evidence of demonic possession on him.

He was, after all, a student of his alma mater, and also his junior. As the largest shareholder of the school, he had an obligation to care about the students’ physical and mental health.

Zhou Zhou only felt a strange gaze on him, as if he were naked and being wantonly scrutinized, a feeling that made him uncomfortable all over.

However, facing the male lead, he didn’t dare to be angry or say anything, he could only frantically complain in his heart.

[Still looking, still looking, I’ll beat you to death if you keep looking!]

[Big brother, I didn’t mess with your wife, can you please get lost?]

    [Emm! My legs are weak!]

He supported himself with both hands on the sink, only feeling that there was a small boat rocking in his mind, rocking to grandma’s bridge…

Finally, he lay on the bridge cursing at the sky.

[Hurry up and leave! I can’t take it anymore, I’m going to throw up!]

Pei Yanlie finally raised his noble foot and retreated a few steps.

A mocking smile appeared on the corner of his lips, he didn’t expect demons to get drunk as well.

Zhou Zhou covered his stomach and turned around, the corners of his slightly raised eyes already red, glared fiercely at Pei Yanlie, and then staggered into a stall.

With a loud “bang,” the door was slammed shut.

Pei Yanlie pursed his lips slightly, his eyes cold. This boy had repeatedly provoked his bottom line, making him want to tie him up and send him to a temple for a forced exorcism.

Suddenly, the pair of phoenix eyes filled with watery luster flashed in his mind, and his expression hardened, guessing that this was a fox spirit.

His heart was gently teased, a slight tingling sensation arose, this strange feeling made his whole body erupt with ferocity.

    [So annoying… Wuwu… So uncomfortable… I want to throw up but I can’t…]

A voice with a hint of sobbing drilled into his mind, his whole body tensed up, his face instantly covered with gloom.

He was just about to lift his foot and leave.

    [Wuwu… Mama… I want to go home.]

    [**##*]

    [Why did I die suddenly…]

    “I want to go home…”

A murmured voice came from inside the stall, clearly the person inside was already quite drunk.

Pei Yanlie struggled internally, feeling a headache, he was, after all, a junior from his alma mater.

His leather shoes turned a direction, and heavy footsteps walked toward the stall.
