    Chapter 110 Tear

“Mr. Lu, are you still listening?”

Director Wang’s excited voice came from the receiver of the mobile phone. Before waiting for a response, he asked hesitantly.

“I’m listening, tell me.” Lu Qingrang’s calm voice came back.

“Okay, here’s the thing. Nangong Chen has tried several times to fish Su Xia out, but they haven’t succeeded.”

“We originally thought he had given up, but unexpectedly, Su Xia offered to talk to us yesterday.”

“She did say some things, but frankly speaking, it was all insignificant information.” Director Wang began to speak faster. “On our side, we just followed the trend and left a hole to let the news leak out naturally. As expected, Nangong Chen couldn’t sit still anymore and took the initiative to come to the door, insisting on seeing Su Xia again.”

“We thought that if we let them meet, we might be able to come up with something new, so we arranged this meeting.”

“Guess what?” Director Wang’s voice was full of excitement, “When these two met, what a great guy! The scene was really exciting!”

    “Chen! You are finally here!”

Su Xia looked at the familiar figure through the glass. She hadn’t seen him for a few days, and it seemed like a long time had passed. Tears instantly filled her eyes, and her voice was choked with dependence.

Nangong Chen frowned, his eyes falling on Su Xia’s pale and fragile face inch by inch, with a hint of heartache on his face: “Xia Xia, you have lost weight…”

“I knew you would definitely come to save me!” Su Xia’s tears rolled down drop by drop, and her fingertips gently pressed against the cold glass, as if she wanted to touch him, “Chen, you are here to take me out, right? Let’s go home, and then…then let those who harmed us pay the price!!”

“Don’t talk about this yet,” Nangong Chen immediately interrupted her fantasy words, lowered his voice with anxiety, “Tell me, Xia Xia, you didn’t say anything nonsense to them, right?”

Su Xia’s face stiffened slightly, but she quickly covered it with a softer expression: “Chen, you don’t believe me? How could I? I only believe in you now. You must be here to take me away, right?” This time, her tone was determined.

Nangong Chen turned his head slightly, his Adam’s apple rolling.

Su Xia’s voice began to tremble, and her eyes widened unconsciously: “Chen? Today…can’t today? What about tomorrow? What about the day after tomorrow?” She asked cautiously, but her heart sank a little bit.

“Xia Xia,” Nangong Chen turned his head and locked his eyes tightly with her, filled with emotions that Su Xia couldn’t understand, “I need your help now.”

Su Xia seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw and immediately nodded excitedly: “Chen, tell me! I will do anything for you!”

Nangong Chen seemed to have made up his mind and closed his eyes hard. When he opened them again, there was only determination in his eyes.

He raised his hand slightly to signal, and the assistant behind him immediately stepped forward quickly, unfolded a document, and pressed it tightly against the glass between the two of them.

Black text on white paper, extremely clear.

    Divorce Agreement.

The blood on Su Xia’s face suddenly faded.

She blinked, then blinked hard again, but those words still hit her pupils hard.

A wave of dizziness hit her, and she held onto the glass to barely stand still.

“Chen…” Her voice was erratic, and her tears were pouring down. She shook her head and looked at him with sad eyes, “Why, why is this? You promised me, for the rest of your life…”

“Xia Xia! Listen to me!” Nangong Chen put his hands on the glass and spoke urgently, trying to persuade her, “Sign it! This is just a temporary measure! Only after you sign it can I find a way to operate it and save you! Can’t you feel it? You believe me this time!”

Su Xia’s heart became cold when she looked at him, the man she knew and loved deeply.

“Ha…” She suddenly laughed lowly, and the tears flowed more fiercely, “Etherothers…Nangongchen, our eachother, are you going to betray me like this?”

“Su Xia!” Nangong Chen’s patience ran out, the veins on his forehead throbbed, and his voice suddenly rose with anger: “Sign it! Only then can everything get back on track! What on earth are you making! Don’t you believe me anymore?!”

Su Xia raised her tearful eyes: “Back on track? Nangongchen, look into my eyes and say, are you really not going to give up on me?”

This calm rhetorical question instantly extinguished Nangong Chen’s suppressed anger.

He choked, unable to refute for a moment.

    Silence spread between the two.

A few seconds later, Su Xia turned away suddenly, her thin shoulders trembling violently, but her voice was stern: “Go away! Nangong Chen, I tell you, I, Su Xia, am not obligated to you! But I will never sign this agreement even if I die!”

“Su Xia! Turn around! This is not a child’s play!” Nangong Chen was furious and punched the thick glass with a punch, and a muffled “thud” echoed in the small space.

Su Xia’s shoulder, which was facing away from him, was violently shaken.

After a few seconds, she slowly turned around, her face full of tears and her eyes filled with only disappointment.

“Chen, are you serious…that you don’t even care about the last bit of affection?”

“Su Xia! Now is not the time to talk about this!” Nangong Chen loosened his tie irritably, and the uncontrollable anxiety surged up again, “Sign the name, and everything will have room for change! Do you understand it or not?!”

    “I don’t understand!”

Su Xia suddenly raised her head: “I gave everything for you, and now you abandon me? Nangongchen, where is your conscience?!”

“That’s enough! Put away your tricks!” Nangong Chen’s forehead throbbed with veins, and his patience was exhausted. “Sign, or not? This is the last time I ask you!”

“I, don’t, sign!” Su Xia said one word at a time, “Unless I die! Nangongchen, let me tell you, you can never get rid of me! I will remember those things… those things about you! If you dare to abandon me, we will go to hell together!”

“Are you threatening me?” Nangong Chen’s pupils shrank suddenly and he approached the glass. His voice was cold, “Su Xia, you should think clearly about the consequences.”

“I think clearly! I’m not having a good time, so don’t try to be alone…” Su Xia smiled sadly, with a crazy smile.

    Before she finished speaking

    “Click.”

The door to the interview room was opened neatly.

Several police officers rushed in, instantly breaking the atmosphere of the indoor confrontation.

A police officer walked straight towards Su Xia and said in a steady voice: “The time is over. Su Xia, please cooperate with us to leave.”

Another police officer stood in front of Nangong Chen and stretched out his hand to signal: “Mr. Nangong, please leave the meeting area immediately.”

The madness on Su Xia’s face quickly faded. She no longer struggled or cried. However, when the two police officers took her to her feet, she turned her head sharply and took a final deep look at the livid man outside the glass.

Nangong Chen was asked to leave the room, and the last thing that echoed in his ears were Su Xia’s unspoken words.

The heavy soundproof door slammed shut behind him with a muffled sound.

He stood under the dazzling light in the corridor and suddenly realized very clearly that everything was completely over.
