Beloved Little Husband and Husband
Lin Qichi ignited a fire talisman, using the Yin energy contaminating his body as fuel. The talisman’s yellow flames soared into the sky, the fire tongue sweeping over every inch of surrounding Yin energy, aggressively burning it all away.
The fire died down, and Lin Qichi emerged from the flames unscathed.
The ghosts outside the talisman shield seemed to be intimidated by the roaring talisman fire, and the force with which they struck the barrier lessened slightly.
Lin Qichi impatiently flicked off the last bit of flame from his fingertip, the sword in his hand still wrapped in talisman fire.
However, talisman fire couldn’t hurt living people; for Lin Qichi, it just made him look more stylish. As for those ghosts outside the barrier…
He’d find out soon enough.
Lin Qichi used the tip of his sword to lift the talisman at the center of the barrier, and the shield suddenly shattered open, scattering into strips of talisman paper.
The sword tip, wrapped in talisman fire, ruthlessly pierced into the circle of ghosts, and a large surge of Yin energy suddenly erupted from behind him.
The surrounding ghosts were all cleared away at once. Lin Qichi stood close to where he had been, sensing the Yin energy pouring out of the coffin.
It was like a sharp, cold knife edge, filled with malice and chill.
Lin Qichi leaned back against the outer coffin, remembering the words he unconsciously spoke in that dream, in order to avoid the later ending.
Finally unable to hold on, he collapsed to the ground.
Lin Qichi leaned on the sword hilt, coughing laboriously, his voice hoarse and rough, as if he were a different person. The clash of Yin energy must have damaged his throat.
“Do you regret it?” Qi Feiyu, in his full strength, covered in blood, crawled out of the coffin, looking at the wretched person beside him.
The surrounding ghosts had all been cleared, and the tomb was cold and eerie.
Having a body made a real difference.
If everything before had been like an illusion, the immense sense of oppression now was suffocatingly real.
“Like an alluring ghost,” Lin Qichi said, looking at the head suddenly popping up above him. No matter how much his throat hurt, he had to struggle to say something.
“Seeking your own death.” Sharp fingertips brushed across Lin Qichi’s throat, drops of blood falling, as if his neck could be cut without mercy in the next second.
“Don’t say that, darling,” Lin Qichi said, grabbing Qi Feiyu’s finger and using it to pull himself up. This really hurt too much.
Half of Qi Feiyu’s body was still submerged in the coffin. Blood of unknown origin had completely flooded the coffin.
Qi Feiyu’s long hair floated on top, his beautiful head coldly facing him from the middle.
Like a beautiful, withered Rafflesia flower.
“Have I been too lenient with you?”
Lin Qichi’s hand passed through the tough, sharp strands of hair, gently stroking the Baihui point on Qi Feiyu’s head.
Lin Qichi’s coldness was even more intense than his. The tenderness of the previous moment was like a fantasy.
Qi Feiyu’s heart had a momentary sting. He looked down and saw a golden feather piercing through it.
“My heart hurts.”
“Don’t make trouble, be good,” Lin Qichi said gently, pulling Qi Feiyu out of the blood. From the moment he stepped into this tomb, he had understood everything.
He really was like an alluring ghost, his beauty making people ignore his cunning and treachery.
Qi Feiyu stared at him with furious eyes. He had actually used the Wen Ren family’s secret technique against him.
“Cough, cough…” Lin Qichi hugged him tightly, the Yin energy corroding him, and the damage to his throat was even worse, causing him to cough uncontrollably.
“Don’t glare, darling, even though you’re still so cute,” Lin Qichi said, brushing aside the strands of hair that had slipped over Qi Feiyu’s eyes. He stuck the sword, which had finally burned away all the Yin energy, diagonally into Qi Feiyu’s arms, adjusting his posture so he could hold it.
Although the sword could no longer hurt his true form, it could still have some restraining effect.
Qi Feiyu couldn’t move or speak, and could only stare at him with those beautiful, blood-red eyes.
“Darling, guess when I found out?” Lin Qichi said, separating Qi Feiyu’s eyelashes, which were slightly stuck together with blood. With the restriction of the feather, he really looked like a porcelain doll now, beautiful and fragile.
The golden feather was the Wen Ren family’s famous treasure, capable of hard-controlling even a Ghost King for an entire night.
Qi Feiyu couldn’t break free, so he simply followed his words and tried to figure it out.
When did he find out?
When he couldn’t help but refute Meng Yu’s existence, time and time again? Hadn’t he pretended well enough?
If it weren’t for breaking the barrier requiring the Wen Ren family’s blood…
“What? Still thinking about how to use me?” Lin Qichi said, affectionately touching Qi Feiyu’s forehead. It was icy cold; putting aside everything else, it was pretty good for cooling him down.
Lin Qichi felt that his throat had eased up a bit, and flicked the steel needle that was stuck straight into his Baihui point.
Looking at his face, he still couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.
Qi Feiyu hadn’t noticed the steel needle that was truly restricting him yet. He only began to suspect something when he felt Lin Qichi’s movements.
“Darling, your eyes are really beautiful; you love to keep all your temper inside them.”
Lin Qichi pulled Qi Feiyu out of the blood. He couldn’t move, and being immersed in the water for so long made him very heavy to pull out.
Qi Feiyu’s scarlet eyes stared straight at him, following him wherever he went.
“Darling, people often say that ghosts are inherently fickle; I thought you were different.”
“You have a body now, and you’re also very weak; it’s very strange, isn’t it?”
Lin Qichi didn’t need Qi Feiyu to answer; he was just talking to himself.
“You refuse to acknowledge Meng Yu; why do you even need an excuse, saying that you love me because of that memory that came from who knows where? Have you ever really had that thought?”
Lin Qichi was asking Qi Feiyu, and also asking himself.
Love? Or not love?
The definition of that was really broad.
“Darling, be obedient; we’re going to get married in three days.”
The effect of being corroded by Yin energy was still there. Lin Qichi had expended a lot of effort just pulling Qi Feiyu out of the coffin.
The ghosts that had been scattered were emerging again from all directions.
“Can you shrink down? You’re too big; I can’t hold you,” Lin Qichi said softly, his hand pressing against the feather at Qi Feiyu’s heart, pulling it out a little.
Qi Feiyu looked at the ghosts gathering around him, and helplessly took advantage of that slight loosening of the restriction to transform back into a child.
Lin Qichi picked him up with one arm. He used the tip of his sword to stir the bottom of the bloody water, and the threat of the blood-stained sword to those ghosts increased greatly.
Lin Qichi fought his way to the area around the bottom of the well. He looked at the vines made of condensed Yin energy clinging to the well wall, carrying Qi Feiyu’s aura.
Lin Qichi pulled out a talisman rope and tied Qi Feiyu and himself together. He held the sword in one hand, forcefully stabbing it into the well wall, using it to quickly climb up.
The well wall was slippery, and there were also camouflaged Yin energy vines, so he had to be quick.
When Lin Qichi found the car while carrying Qi Feiyu, it was already very dark.
The surrounding area was desolate and uninhabited, making it easy to attract bad things.
Lin Qichi stuck a circle of talisman paper on the car body, and turned on all the lights inside and outside the car.
Finally unable to hold on, he pried open the car door and spat out a mouthful of black-purple blood.
Lin Qichi used the last of his strength to close the car door and passed out in the driver’s seat, holding Qi Feiyu in his arms. The Wen Ren family’s secret treasure for concealing their presence was still placed on the roof of the car.
The origin of the feather was also clear now.
Qi Feiyu couldn’t move and could only stay quietly in Lin Qichi’s arms, repeatedly replaying where he had gone wrong.
His body’s subconscious, however, couldn’t help but want to get closer to the person in front of him.
When Lin Qichi woke up this time, he was no longer in the car.
The surrounding environment was like a luxurious ancient palace, and his body was bound, unable to move.
“Awake?”
It was Qi Feiyu’s voice.
Lin Qichi looked up and saw Qi Feiyu in his adult form, propping himself up and leaning next to him.
“It’s been three days,” Qi Feiyu said, gently brushing over his eyelids. He didn’t apply any pressure, but his eyeballs felt a needle-like pain.
“You’ve been sleeping really long.”
“Sleepy,” Lin Qichi replied unconsciously, his throat also stinging.
“There’s a lot of Yin energy here; don’t sleep anymore. It’s time for our wedding night.”
Lin Qichi remembered the stack of portraits he had seen when he went to see the family head that day.
Every one was Qi Feiyu, and yet none of them were Qi Feiyu.
Cruel, terrifying, standing on piles of bones.
But there were none that were obedient, that made people feel pity.
Actually, he had known for a long time; he was just missing an opportunity to admit it.
The family head had entrusted him with the Wen Ren family’s inheritance when he left.
Stop the Ghost King, seal the Ghost Gate.
These two ambiguous phrases were something Lin Qichi deeply understood.
He hadn’t expected to have been unconscious for so long; it seemed the family head’s plan would have to be delayed.
Qi Feiyu’s aloof arrogance could no longer be concealed. He pressed Lin Qichi under him triumphantly, as if he wanted him to repay all the humiliation he had suffered, his movements becoming harsher with each passing moment.
The icy Yin energy entered his body, causing Lin Qichi to curl up involuntarily, only to be forcibly opened up again by Qi Feiyu.
His mission had actually been completed, although there was a slight deviation.
To hold back the Ghost King on the day the Ghost Gate opened was the task secretly arranged for him by the family head.
As long as he completed it, he could retire early and let Wen Ren Shu guide the next generation of the Heavenly Master Association.
The arrangements he made at the bottom of the well had also been planned together by the older generation of the Heavenly Master Association.
The bone-chilling Yin energy had long since permeated his body.
If he were to be offered to the Ghost Gate as the main sacrifice, like in the world line, he would only become its best nourishment.
Fortunately, his mission hadn’t been a failure yet.
Lin Qichi was roused from his unconsciousness several times by the Yin energy that was forciblyInjection into his body, only to be awakened again by Qi Feiyu’s hard means.
Lin Qichi saw him in this crazed state for the first time. His body was tightly bound, but he couldn’t make any resisting movements.
The Yin energy gathered in his abdomen, and waves of stinging pain assaulted him, causing him to cry out Qi Feiyu’s name.
Qi Feiyu heard the hoarse, deep voice and moved even more fiercely.
It wasn’t just Yin energy; something even more intense was repeatedly penetrating his body, forcing him to say when he had found out.
“Don’t do this—” Lin Qichi cried out in alarm.
Lin Qichi suspected that he was being vented on; Qi Feiyu, angry from who knows where, was taking it all out on him.
