PMWAIAAPM Chapter 11
by VolareChapter 11
Xing Yang rubbed his temples: “You’re here, Zhiyu will be unhappy.”
Two days ago, he had already thrown a tantrum over this issue. If Jiang Cheng really entered the set, he probably wouldn’t be allowed into the bedroom again.
Jiang Cheng leaned on the table, deliberately getting closer, and asked with a charming smile, “Am I really not as good as him?”
Xing Yang nodded: “Yeah.”
In his heart, no one could compare to Tan Zhiyu.
Jiang Cheng pouted and muttered, “Tch, that’s really hurtful.”
But he looked pitiful, acting as if he would die in front of him if he didn’t let him in.
They met because Xing Yang had business dealings with Jiang Ling, Jiang Cheng’s sister.
The Jiang family was well-known in Beijing for medical devices and running hospitals; Jiang Ling was his younger sister by a year and managed the Jiang family. The year before, Xing Yang invested in the Jiang family’s hospital in Switzerland, making him a partner.
Jiang Cheng met him at a dinner party, where he found himself more intrigued than in love at first sight.
Xing Yang was under thirty but appeared calm and composed. He could be gentle at times and aloof at others, a man with a story. He had grown tired of dating young men his own age and had shifted his preferences as he matured.
When they first met, Jiang Cheng stopped him and said: “Yang Ge, someone like you doesn’t look like an omega. How about OA romance?”
His sister, Jiang Ling, kicked him two meters away and repeatedly apologized: “My brother is a bit too much, his brain doesn’t work well.”
“Xing总, sorry~ I just think you have a great figure, and I really like it~”
Xing Yang laughed at him, and they became friends from then on.
Jiang Cheng had enough ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends to fill several tables of mahjong. Xing Yang treated him like a younger brother, thinking of him as a kid without long-term prospects, finding his jokes amusing.
Recently, they needed to bring in a new batch of medical equipment, and Jiang Cheng came to negotiate with the equipment list, wanting to invest in the set.
Jiang Cheng tried every tactic, his collar nearly unbuttoned down to his abdomen, nearly lying flat on Xing Yang’s desk. Yet, Xing Yang didn’t glance at him, seriously arranging contracts for the next week.
Seeing that Xing Yang was resolute, Jiang Cheng directly started taking off his shirt and ruffled his hair, shouting inside the room: “Help! Xing总 wants to take advantage of me——!!”
While shouting, he even loosened his belt, looking aggrieved.
The secretaries outside heard the commotion and peeked in. Secretary Wang knocked and entered with some documents. Seeing this scene, she could only say “Sorry to interrupt,” then turned and quietly closed the door, thoughtfully pulling down the bright blinds.
Xing Yang, sitting opposite and handling documents, was speechless.
“Alright, alright, I’ll let you in! Put your clothes back on!”
Jiang Cheng achieved his goal and happily put his clothes back on: “Got it.”
Xing Yang sighed: “…”
“Here, this is the contract, just sign it,” he grinned as he handed over the folder.
Xing Yang replied, “Jiang Ling won’t let you use the contract to threaten me.”
“It’s not easy for you to invest in a movie, I just want to participate, and I’m really interested in this script. Xing Ge, I knew you were the best~”
Xing Yang suddenly felt goosebumps all over.
This person, he acted just like a child.
——
After a busy two days, the opening ceremony of “The Thief” ended and filming officially began.
Xing Yang had been in Switzerland on a business trip and had already been away for three days since the ceremony.
The initial filming didn’t jump straight into the theme but included some simple dialogue shots and close-ups of cigarette smoking. However, Tan Zhiyu’s performance was not good.
The male lead he played was not immersed in the role. The director said his gaze towards the second male lead was wrong, not resembling companions facing life and death, thinking the leads weren’t familiar enough, and called for a break.
After several cuts, he sat in the makeup room, frustrated, scrolling through his phone, while the makeup artist, Xiao Guo, moved gently, fearing she would ignite this Buddha.
“Yue Jie, I feel like Tan Ge hasn’t been in a good mood recently?”
The intern Xiao Qin, who came out of the makeup room, said cautiously.
Li Yue had just returned to the country and rushed over as soon as she could to see Tan Zhiyu’s filming set.
“What’s wrong?” Li Yue, in high heels, followed her toward the makeup room. “Zhiyu rarely has an off day. Is the co-actor unprofessional?”
“They’re quite good. A while ago, one of their dramas was a bit of a hit.”
Tan Zhiyu was famously dedicated, and she had read the script for this project in advance. It should be a walk in the park for him.
Why would he be in a bad mood?
Unless there was something wrong with him.
She entered the makeup room, where Tan Zhiyu was agitated, throwing his phone on the table.
“Oh, Xing Boss is in Switzerland on a business trip? I’ll ask him if he can help me with some shopping~”
“Tch—” Tan Zhiyu frowned, his dark eyes slightly opening.
Li Yue signaled the makeup artist to step out for a moment.
Once they were alone, she put her phone on the table and asked curiously, “What’s going on? Are you having a fit?”
Tan Zhiyu snorted coldly, the tension in his eyes still palpable.
Xing Yang hadn’t said a word to him before he left for his trip. The next day he entered the set, and Jiang Cheng was there too!
That provocative little look in his eyes was clearly the attitude of a third-party challenging the main partner.
Why were they still considered a pair? He almost wanted to tear the script apart!
If it weren’t for his good manners, he would have definitely torn Jiang Cheng’s face apart.
He wished he could call Xing Yang right now and ask if he was crazy. The man he had a scandal with yesterday was co-starring with him the next day — who had the issue here?
Li Yue gleefully pointed out, “Xing总’s charm is impressive. He has so many beautiful women around just for dinner…”
Xing Yang’s social media posts featured plenty of foreign beauties and were likely celebrating a successful contract signing; his feed was filled with business posts, typical of someone who prioritizes making money over everything.
“New money, never seen wealth before.” Tan Zhiyu snorted: “With so few people in Switzerland, what kind of hospital are they opening? They must be sick.”
Li Yue lightly smacked his head: “How would a young master like you, who grew up with a silver spoon, understand? Besides, every penny he earns is part of your joint property! If you divorce in the future, he’ll split half with you.”
Tan Zhiyu felt irritated again.
This did not sit right with him at all.
He couldn’t refute it, but an unfamiliar phrase popped into his mind: crow’s mouth.
He stubbornly muttered under his breath, “I don’t care for his money.”
Li Yue clicked her tongue in surprise, circling around him: “Something’s off with you.”
Tan Zhiyu: “What’s wrong?”
“You clearly weren’t in your sensitive period a few days ago! You were just putting on an act! What did Xing总 go to your house for that day? You two—” she said with deep meaning.
