Chapter 108 Extra: Li Yang and Ling Yu, Part 1

Li Yang realized he had fallen in love with Ling Yu.

    He had to pursue him!

Pursue him all the way back to his hometown!

Ling Yu was peeling fruit for his mother, who had just undergone surgery, when he saw Li Yang appear in the ward carrying large bags of gifts. He panicked so much that he almost cut his own finger.

“Yu Yu, do you know him? Who is he?” Ling’s mother asked.

Ling Yu was so nervous that his tongue was tied.

    “He’s… he’s… that… my…”

    Sugar daddy? Creditor?

It didn’t seem right to introduce him as either.

“Auntie, I’m Ling Yu’s… good friend. My name is Li Yang,” Li Yang said with a smile, taking the initiative to introduce himself.

“I heard from Ling Yu that you were hospitalized due to a car accident, so I came to see you especially.”

“A friend, ah. Come, sit, sit.”

Ling’s mother happily invited Li Yang to sit down, sizing him up and down, thinking that this young man was really handsome and had an extraordinary temperament.

Mature and steady, with impeccable manners!

Completely different from Ling Yu’s hot-headed, childish demeanor.

They could actually be friends? Ling’s mother was very puzzled.

But this young man had come all the way to the hospital to see her, so he must have a very good relationship with her Yu Yu.

Ling Yu stood by the hospital bed, head lowered, not knowing what he was thinking. The apple in his hand was almost whittled down to just the core.

“Yu Yu, your friend is here, why aren’t you greeting him? What are you standing there for?” Ling’s mother nudged Ling Yu’s arm.

    “Ah?… Oh.”

Ling Yu put down what he was holding and went forward to tug at Li Yang’s sleeve, “Come out with me for a moment.”

In the corridor, Ling Yu lowered his eyes, staring at his toes, unable to describe what he was feeling. A little helpless, a little happy.

“Why did you come?” he asked.

Li Yang reached out and ruffled the top of Ling Yu’s hair, his voice gentle, “I was worried about you, I wanted to see you, so I came.”

Ling Yu bit his lower lip, his heart pounding, not knowing what to say.

Li Yang had said he liked him before, and now he had come straight to the hospital…

“You’ve seen me now, go back if there’s nothing else,” Ling Yu said, suppressing the flutter in his heart, trying to get rid of him.

“I’ll pay you back the money I owe you as soon as possible.”

After Ling Yu finished speaking, he turned to go back to the ward. Li Yang’s eyes darkened, and he stepped forward to grab his wrist, “I’m not leaving. You promised not to avoid me.”

People passing by in the corridor looked at them curiously. Ling Yu’s face flushed, and he shook off Li Yang’s hand forcefully, leaving behind two words, “Whatever.”

In the afternoon, Ling Yu’s father came to bring food to Ling Yu and Ling’s mother. Upon learning that Li Yang was Ling Yu’s friend, he warmly invited him to eat together as well.

“Uncle, your cooking is really good. This is truly the best home-cooked meal I’ve ever had.”

“Auntie, chatting with you really makes me feel warm. I’m so envious of Ling Yu for having a mother like you.”

Li Yang showered Ling Yu’s parents with compliments, making them beam with joy. They liked him immensely. Ling’s mother even said, “Little Li, Auntie really likes you. If my Ling Yu were a girl, I would definitely have you as our son-in-law.”

“Mom, what are you saying?” Ling Yu jumped up.

Ling’s mother gave him a disapproving glance, “Why are you reacting so strongly? I was just saying it casually. You don’t actually think Little Li would marry you, do you?”

“I…” Ling Yu didn’t dare say that Li Yang really liked him, and sat down again with a look of embarrassment.

The next day, Li Yang busied himself taking care of Ling’s mother, even more attentive than Ling Yu. Ling’s mother praised him for being sensible, and her fondness for him rose another level.

On the third day, Li Yang still hadn’t left, and Ling’s mother began to have doubts.

Even if they were good friends, it shouldn’t be to this extent, right? What exactly was the relationship between this Li Yang and her Yu Yu?

She lay on the bed pretending to be asleep, pricking up her ears to eavesdrop on what the two of them were talking about behind her back.

The clock on the wall ticked, and the ward was unusually quiet. Ling Yu and Li Yang sat by the window and the head of the bed, respectively, without saying a word.

Could it be that she was really overthinking it?

Ling’s mother was starting to feel a little sore from lying down and planned to sit up and stretch. Ling Yu, who was dozing off in the chair by the bed, suddenly fell to the side.

A pair of large hands reached out in time to support Ling Yu’s cheek, preventing him from falling to the ground.

Li Yang carefully picked Ling Yu up and placed him on another empty bed. Ling Yu had been tired for several days, and this little movement didn’t wake him up at all. So Li Yang sat by the bed, boldly stroking Ling Yu’s face, his eyes filled with deep affection.

And all of this was quietly seen by Ling’s mother.

In the evening, Ling’s mother, contrary to her usual demeanor, put on a stern face and instructed Li Yang, “Little Li, I suddenly want to eat spring rolls. Go buy me some.”
