    Chapter 107: The Grand Finale

“Before New Year’s Day, I suppose,” Lian Xun said.

This time when he went back, he probably wouldn’t be returning often. Besides the responsibilities at Lian Corporation, there wasn’t much else to miss in this place.

“Well, after returning home, you can always come to Shangjiang when you have time,” Gao Jingqian said with a smile. “Speaking of which, you still haven’t visited my company.”

“That’s right, I’ve also been wanting to see Brother Gao’s company.”

Now, Gao Jingqian’s overseas company and Lian Corporation were very close partners. The cooperation projects that were signed to deal with Lian Feng had unexpectedly become a reality in Lian Xun’s hands.

But Lian Xun hadn’t been to the headquarters in Shangjiang City yet, and had been wanting to find an opportunity to visit.

“You’re welcome anytime.” Gao Jingqian clinked glasses with Lian Xun and added, “By the way, hasn’t it been a long time since you visited my home? Next time you come to Shangjiang, you can stop by my place, it hasn’t changed at all. You’ll surely remember many things from when we were young.”

Lian Xun looked expectant, “Okay, okay!”

Qi Luzhi’s expression darkened, “Ah Xun is very busy with work, I’m afraid he doesn’t have time.”

    “Uh…”

Lian Xun turned to look at Qi Luzhi, who was reeking of jealousy, and was a little speechless.

Wasn’t this a bit much? Gao Jingqian was now his dear brother-in-law; was he still getting jealous?

Qi Luzhi didn’t care about that; he just didn’t like Lian Xun getting too close to Gao Jingqian.

“We still need to greet other friends, so please excuse us.”

After making up a random excuse, Qi Luzhi dragged Lian Xun away.

By the time the wedding party ended, a faint glimmer of light had appeared on the horizon. The housekeeper arranged for the guests to rest in the guestroom one by one. The huge banquet hall was left with only Lian Xun and Qi Luzhi.

Lian Xun had drunk a bit too much wine, and was now quite drunk, clinging to Qi Luzhi and acting spoiled.

“Qi Gege… No, husband… You’re already my husband.”

“Mm,” Qi Luzhi gently embraced the person in his arms, his eyes overflowing with deep affection.

    “Husband, I want a kiss!”

Lian Xun closed his eyes and pouted his lips. Qi Luzhi pecked him on the lips, then held his head, which was still trying to move closer.

“What are you doing? I want more,” Lian Xun frowned in dissatisfaction.

“I know.” Qi Luzhi smiled indulgently, picked Lian Xun up in his arms, and slowly walked upstairs.

“Let’s go back to the bedroom first. Anything you want, I’ll give it to you!”

“Okay, tonight… is our… our wedding night, we… we can’t waste it!”

Lian Xun leaned against Qi Luzhi’s chest, muttering incoherently. His long eyelashes drooped like feathered fans, concealing his shy and happy face.

Back in the bedroom, when Qi Luzhi placed Lian Xun on the bed, he had already fallen fast asleep, completely unconscious.

Qi Luzhi gently stroked Lian Xun’s nose, chuckling helplessly, “Little liar, what about the wedding night you promised? You’re the one who got drunk and fell asleep first.”

He quietly gazed at Lian Xun’s adorable and charming sleeping face, feeling his heart filled with unprecedented happiness, warm and sweet.

    “Good night, wife!”

Qi Luzhi placed a light kiss on Lian Xun’s forehead, then got into bed beside him and pulled him into his arms.

Two days before New Year’s Day, Lian Xun handed over all his work to a few trusted subordinates and embarked on a journey back home with Qi Luzhi and Wangcai.

It had been more than a year since they’d returned, and both of them were a little excited.

Arriving at the Villa, Lian Xun pushed open the dusty iron gate and suddenly exclaimed excitedly:

    “Wow, Qi Gege, look!”

Qi Luzhi followed Lian Xun’s gaze, and a hint of amazement flashed in his eyes.

The snowdrops in the garden were in full bloom, the jade-like petals swaying in the wind, striving to display their vitality amidst the bleak winter scenery.

“I thought these snowdrops would wither since we weren’t here,” Lian Xun said, his voice filled with undisguised joy. “I didn’t expect them to bloom so beautifully.”

“Perhaps they’re welcoming us home in this way,” Qi Luzhi smiled with relief.

Inside the house, everything was covered with a layer of dust, making it impossible to step anywhere. Qi Luzhi urgently called Aunt Liu to clean up. After not seeing Qi Luzhi for so long, Aunt Liu chattered on and on.

“I thought something might have happened to you. I came to check a few times, but the door was locked. I thought maybe you had moved…”

Hearing that Qi Luzhi and Lian Xun had gotten married abroad, Aunt Liu was genuinely happy for them. She insisted on giving them a wedding gift. Qi Luzhi couldn’t refuse, so Lian Xun finally persuaded Aunt Liu to make them a delicious meal instead, considering it as the gift.

At dusk, the two leaned against the warm fireplace. Lian Xun was looking at the work files Ling Yu had sent, as he would be returning to work at Xun Qi tomorrow.

Qi Luzhi hugged his waist from behind, sighing languidly, “Ah, I’m so poor now that I only have this Villa left. I’ll have to rely on you to support me in the future.”

“Dream on.” Lian Xun tilted his head and looked at him, a triumphant smile on his lips, “I’ve already bought back your shares in Sheng Shao Group. Be a good boy and go to work at the company tomorrow.”

“When did you…” Qi Luzhi was shocked.

    “Just a few days ago.”

Lian Xun stared earnestly into Qi Luzhi’s eyes and said, “That’s your hard work, I know you can’t bear to part with it.”

Since Qi Luzhi wouldn’t accept the shares of Lian Corporation, he would buy back Sheng Shao Group for him.

He didn’t believe Qi Luzhi could refuse this!

“Qi Gege, you can sacrifice everything for me, and I want to do something for you too,” Lian Xun’s eyes were as deep as the sea with affection.

Qi Luzhi lowered his head and kissed Lian Xun hard, gratefully saying, “Wife, thank you!”

“You’re welcome, husband,” Lian Xun smiled contentedly.

He looked up and inadvertently glanced out the window. It had started snowing again. He stood up, took Qi Luzhi’s hand, and excitedly walked outside.

“I’m in a good mood today, come with me to enjoy the snow.”

Qi Luzhi: “With the greatest pleasure.”

Amidst the fluttering snowflakes, the two sat embraced on the swing, swaying slowly.

Qi Luzhi recalled the way Lian Xun looked when he gifted him a garden full of snowdrops that year, the way he confessed his love with tears in his eyes, and the way they set off fireworks together in the yard during the Lunar New Year…

Those small moments of happiness had long been engraved in his heart, and even though time had passed, they were still endlessly memorable.

In the future, they would create more beautiful memories here and live the rest of their lives happily!

    —End of the main text—

Finally, the grand finale! I’m reluctant, so reluctant!

The more I wrote, the more I felt sorry for the two of them, often crying while Writing.

I wonder if all the readers have been moved by their unwavering love.

In the setting, Qi Luzhi is the sensitive and love-deprived type who needs someone to choose him firmly no matter what the situation. And Lian Xun is exactly that person, giving Qi Luzhi all his love with firmness and passion, and Qi Luzhi is also willing to offer everything.

They will be happy forever in another world!

(╥_╥) Woo woo woo, the old mother is crying!
