    “Arrogant Ink” Chapter 41

    “Arrogant Ink”

The final night of “Recreating Life.”

#QiZhuo Underwater Thirty Seconds# exploded on trending searches.

The Super Topic Square was filled with rapidly circulating divine images:

“Entangled black hair in the hot spring pool”

“The faintly visible waistline under the soaked white shirt”

“Close-up of the unhealed bite marks on the collarbone”

    …….

CP fans changed the name of their Super Topic to “Arrogant Ink” overnight, and the mixed-cut video with over 100 million views was captioned:

“Our Top-Tier couple never indulges in artificial sweetness, we go straight for magma red sugar.”

Zhuo Huaimo slammed his tablet face down on the conference table, his knuckles drumming on the sandalwood surface,

“It’s been three days, and the trending search hasn’t gone down yet?”

The Public Relations Director wiped cold sweat as he handed over a file,

“Mainly because the short video platform that Li Yang just acquired… the algorithm is pushing it too aggressively. And….”

    “And what?”

Zhuo Huaimo glared at him, signaling him to continue, as if there could be anything worse than the current situation.

The Public Relations Director cleared his throat and said,

“And it seems he’s leading the charge in shipping your CP!”

    “Li—Yang——!!”

Zhuo Huaimo was completely infuriated, his teeth itching with anger. He turned and sent Li Yang a message,

“If you’re so bored, go dig for minerals in Africa!!!”

The other party quickly replied, “No need to worry about me. My family owns gold and diamond mines in Africa. We’ll have enough for your wedding!”

Zhuo Huaimo was so speechless he almost had a heart attack!

Suddenly, screams came from outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. The hot spring scene playing on the LED screen in the square was audible even on the twenty-third floor.

In Qi Yanwang’s newly endorsed jewelry advertisement, the collarbone chain just happened to hang over the spot where he was bitten in the show.

“Teacher Qi specifically requested to keep the bite mark effect.”

The advertising director smiled ambiguously in the behind-the-scenes footage, “Said it was… battle-scarred aesthetics.”

Zhuo Huaimo rubbed his throbbing temples, and a special WeChat notification popped up.

[Little Mad Dog: Do you like battle-scarred aesthetics? [Puppy Circling.jpg]]

[Ink: You better be battle-scarred tonight]

[Little Mad Dog: Tomorrow’s “VOGUE” couple shoot. I’ll be gentle tonight, try not to leave any marks!]

    [Inside the “VOGUE” Photo Studio]

The magnesium lights made the air feel scorching.

Inside the studio, lighting technicians were adjusting equipment, and makeup artists were putting the finishing touches on the two men’s looks.

Zhuo Huaimo wore a pure white suit, the collar slightly open, revealing the exquisite line of his collarbone. A black collarbone chain gleamed coldly under the lights.

Qi Yanwang, on the other hand, wore a sharply tailored black suit, a silver-gray tie meticulously fastened around his neck, making him appear restrained and aloof.

The two stood together, the black and white forming a strong visual impact under the lens, like two intersecting, unsheathed sharp swords, sharp and dazzling.

“Okay, teachers, get ready, we’re starting the shoot.” The photographer adjusted the lens, signaling the start of the shoot.

Qi Yanwang stood sideways next to Zhuo Huaimo, his fingertip lightly hooked on the end of his tie, the corner of his lips curving into a faint smile,

“President Zhuo, isn’t it uncomfortable to have your tie so tight?”

Zhuo Huaimo glanced at him indifferently, raised his hand to adjust his tie, and said in a calm tone,

“No need for Teacher Qi to worry.”

    “Teacher Zhuo, look over here!”

The photographer adjusted the lens, “Yes, make your expression a little colder…”

Qi Yanwang suddenly wrapped his arms around Zhuo Huaimo’s waist from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder, “Teacher Zhuo is so fierce.”

The warm breath touched the back of his ear. “You weren’t like this last night when you were biting me…”

*Click—* The sound of the shutter went off repeatedly.

Zhuo Huaimo tried to elbow him backward, but Qi Yanwang grabbed his wrist.

In the lens, the overlapping figures of the two men were reflected on the mirrored floor, like entangled black and white twin flowers.

“Great! Hold that pose!” The photographer shouted excitedly.

Zhuo Huaimo’s eyes turned cold, and he glared at him warningly,

    “Qi Yanwang, this is work!”

    “I know!”

Qi Yanwang hooked his trouser leg with the tip of his shoe. “So I’m working hard.”

He suddenly leaned closer, his lips almost touching his earlobe, “Teacher Zhuo, I want to shoot couple covers with you for the rest of my life!”

Zhuo Huaimo didn’t answer, but Qi Yanwang could feel his body tremble slightly.

Qi Yanwang took it as his answer, chuckled, and loosened his tie, revealing the new bite mark on his collarbone from last night,

    “So tonight…”

“Tonight you’re sleeping on the sofa!!”

Zhuo Huaimo turned and walked towards the dressing room, but the corners of his mouth were slightly raised.

“Teachers, change your clothes, we’re getting ready for the next set of photos!”

Inside the studio’s changing room, the lighting was dim, and the air was filled with a faint scent of perfume.

Zhuo Huaimo had just changed clothes and was about to leave when he was suddenly pulled back in.

Qi Yanwang pressed him against the mirror, his hands braced on either side of his ears, a playful smile on his lips.

“President Zhuo, so eager to leave?”

He lowered his head, his nose almost touching his cheek, his breath hot.

Zhuo Huaimo raised an eyebrow, hooked his tie, and scoffed,

“Qi Yanwang, are you a teddy bear?”

    “Teddy bear?”

Qi Yanwang chuckled, his fingertip sliding over his collar,

“Don’t you know whether I’m a teddy bear or a wolf? Could a teddy bear feed you this well?”

As he spoke, he leaned down and pressed him.

Zhuo Huaimo used his hand to push against his chest, “Stop it, we’re working!”

Qi Yanwang didn’t retreat but advanced, his body pressed tightly against Zhuo Huaimo, his warm breath spraying in his ear,

“So what we’re doing now… is also work?”

Suddenly, a knock sounded on the door.

The styling assistant called out from behind the frosted glass,

“Teacher Qi, the brand wants to confirm the earring style!”

Qi Yanwang supported himself on the mirror with one hand, half his body sticking out the door. The black suit pants strained against his full buttocks.

Zhuo Huaimo tried to break free, but Qi Yanwang held his waist firmly with his other hand, preventing him from moving.

Zhuo Huaimo sneered and suddenly squatted down, leaning close to him… his fingertip traced over Qi Yanwang’s waistband…

Qi Yanwang’s body stiffened instantly, and the veins on the back of his hand holding the doorknob stood out. He had to pretend to be calm and check the accessories list with the staff.

Then, he heard the soft sound of a zipper sliding behind him…

“Use… use the emerald and diamond inlaid one…”

Qi Yanwang’s voice was suddenly hoarse, and he grabbed the door frame with his other hand.

The smart mirror sensed the temperature and suddenly switched to fogging mode, covering his flushed ear tips and Zhuo Huaimo’s teasing eyes with soft light.

The staff’s footsteps faded away, and Qi Yanwang suddenly pulled back, dragging the man up and pressing him against the mirror.

His warm palm cushioned the back of Zhuo Huaimo’s head, and his other hand pinched his chin,

“Teacher Zhuo, you asked for this!”

His knee squeezed between his legs,

“Where were you just rubbing? Hmm? What did you use to rub?”

He pressed Zhuo Huaimo back against the mirror, rough and forceful.

The temperature of the smart mirror continued to rise.

Qi Yanwang hooked his silver-gray tie and wrapped it around his fingertip,

“Let me teach you a lesson…”

He held his waist and pressed the person hard against the mirror,

“The one who starts the fire has to be responsible for putting it out—”

The sound of metal snaps echoed in the small changing room.

The smart mirror was soon covered in fog. Zhuo Huaimo’s Nth internal scream surfaced,

    “Why did I provoke him?!”

During this, Qi Yanwang suddenly grabbed Zhuo Huaimo’s chin, forcing him to look in the mirror.

In the mirror, Zhuo Huaimo’s eyes were red, his pupils were covered with a misty haze, his lips were glistening, and his suit hung messily from his arm.

Qi Yanwang leaned into his ear and whispered in a low, seductive voice,

“Look at yourself, how charming, remember this look…”

His large hand slid down to his waist, “Only I can make you like this, my bride!”

Three days later, at the anniversary party of the Golden Fish platform.

Li Yang was the number one CP fan of “Arrogant Ink” and would naturally invite them both.

This was probably the benefit of having a family with mines; you could eat first-hand gossip and know whether it was real or fake!

Li Yang knew everything about their gossip, and it was super sweet!

It was only because it was Li Yang. If it were anyone else, Zhuo Huaimo would have turned hostile long ago.

At the party, crystal chandeliers reflected dazzling light, and the air was filled with flowing drinks and the rustling of elegant dresses and suits.

Qi Yanwang held a champagne glass, his eyes locked on the other end of the ballroom.

Zhuo Huaimo was talking to a man in a suit, who occasionally leaned close to whisper in his ear, making him laugh softly.

Qi Yanwang’s fingers tightened slightly around the glass, his knuckles turning white.

He narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint flashing in his pupils.

    “What’s wrong, jealous?”

Gu Chen Zhou appeared beside him at some point, his tone laced with sarcasm,

“That’s one of President Zhuo’s exes.”

Gu Chen Zhou didn’t know when he appeared behind him, “I remember, he was quite favored at the time, thought he could last a little longer…”

He shook his glass of red wine, “But he didn’t escape the three-month curse either.”

Qi Yanwang’s knuckles turned white as he gripped his glass, the champagne glass almost shattering.

    “What about you?”

Gu Chen Zhou leaned closer to his ear, “Your time is almost up, isn’t it?”

Qi Yanwang coldly glanced at him, “How pathetic, offering yourself for years, and he still doesn’t care! You’re not even qualified to be an ex, all you can do is bark!”

Gu Chen Zhou didn’t get angry, but laughed instead. He knew that the stone he had thrown had stirred up ripples, and he shook the red wine in his hand,

“I’m just kindly reminding you, it’s just a game, don’t take it too seriously. None of President Zhuo’s exes have lasted more than three months, do you think you’ll be an exception?”

Qi Yanwang’s eyes darkened, and he slammed his glass heavily on the island bar. Yu Fengran pulled him back in time,

“Calm down! You have to trust Lao Zhuo!”

“Trust him with what?” Qi Yanwang retorted, raising an eyebrow.

“Lao Zhuo is different with you!” Yu Fengran said firmly.

Gu Chen Zhou sneered from the side, “Among the forty-odd exes, there were a few that I also thought would be different, but…”

He lowered his head and took a sip of red wine, making a mocking “tsk tsk” sound.

Qi Yanwang looked at him coldly, his voice clearly suppressing anger,

“If you say another word, I don’t mind you being carried out!”

Under the lights, Zhuo Huaimo, mingling and laughing, was indeed so dazzling that it made him irritable, making him want to tie him up and hide him away completely.

As Qi Yanwang watched Zhuo Huaimo like that, he recalled what Che Ye had said in the rain that night,

“He won’t stay with anyone for more than three months, your end will be even worse than mine…”
