    Chapter 48: Someone, Prepare Water

    Chapter 48: Someone, Prepare Water

Bathed in the lush lamplight, Prince Zhao Fangye of the Ning district’s eyes were deep and dark as ink, fixed intently on the fair, blushing face in his arms.

A pair of moist eyes stared back at him, unblemished by any impurity, their expression earnest.

Zhao Fangye’s arm around him tightened involuntarily, drawing him closer, leaving him no room to retreat.

His Adam’s apple bobbed, and Zhao Fangye’s deep, husky voice was laced with restraint.

As if unsure, he asked again, “Song Huaixi, do you know what you’re doing?”

Skin pressed against skin, their bodies radiated a high heat, and a dangerous, ambiguous atmosphere filled the bedchamber.

Song Huaixi’s animalistic intuition screamed at him to push Zhao Fangye away immediately.

But he didn’t, and instead, the light in his eyes intensified.

Reaching out, he clutched at the front of Zhao Fangye’s undergarment and repeated, “I know. Let’s sleep.”

Compared to his earlier boldness, Song Huaixi belatedly felt a tinge of shyness. His voice became soft and glutinous, with an alluring tickle.

His long eyelashes fluttered like butterflies about to take flight.

All of this, in Zhao Fangye’s eyes, was nothing short of silent seduction and teasing, igniting an inexplicable desire within him, burning away his clarity.

In all these years, this was the first time he had ever felt so infatuated.

He abruptly flipped over, pinning Song Huaixi beneath him. His long-suppressed desires were like a prairie fire, incinerating his reason to ashes.

Song Huaixi was dressed in snow-white undergarments, his dark hair spread across the bed. It made him look even more beautiful and pure, like a captivating and soul-stealing enchantress.

Their eyes met in the air, as if something had exploded between them.

    An imminent ignition.

When Song Huaixi came to his senses, his hands were already twined around Zhao Fangye’s neck. He had never concealed his yearning for Zhao Fangye.

Just like his pure, straightforward love for him.

Hot lips and tongue invaded Song Huaixi’s mouth, his entire being enveloped by Zhao Fangye’s domineering presence. His lips were tenderly and passionately sucked and nibbled.

Secret sounds of water trickled between their movements, and Song Huaixi felt himself going weak from the kisses. His heart trembled, the feeling less like fear and more like a thrill mixed with excitement.

Zhao Fangye seized his wrist, his large hand fitting into his fingertips. The interlocking of their fingers was a possessive gesture.

His usually indifferent face was now anything but. His eyes were dark, his gaze fixed intently on the person beneath him, like a wolf biting down on its prey’s neck.

Song Huaixi was suffocating from the intensity of Zhao Fangye’s kisses. Even guided breathing couldn’t distract him from his actions.

    “Mmm…”

A watery sound escaped his lips, and Song Huaixi whimpered. His cheeks were flushed red by the heat between the bedclothes.

Like a peach blossom on a spring branch, drenched by a rainstorm, lovely and ready to drip.

Seeing him frown in discomfort, Zhao Fangye released his slightly swollen lips.

Allowing him to catch his breath, he instead used his teeth to grind against the pale expanse of his neck, which was slightly raised due to his heavy breathing.

His breath sprayed hotly, once again sending shivers down Song Huaixi’s spine. As he opened his lips to breathe, the tingling sensation on his neck made him tense his waist once more.

It was as if the blood in his body was flowing backward, and a strange sensation invaded his entire being. He opened his hazy eyes wide and couldn’t help but free his gripped hand to wrap it around Zhao Fangye’s back.

The room was dim, with only a faint candlestick left burning in front of the bed. The room was silent except for the increasingly heavy breathing of the two.

Song Huaixi tilted his head back, and a slight whimper escaped his throat. Each sound was like a kitten scratching and clawing incessantly at Zhao Fangye’s heart.

Halting his movements, the last shred of reason pulled at Zhao Fangye’s crumbling desires.

His light-colored eyes gleamed slightly in the darkness. Zhao Fangye looked at the dazed Song Huaixi beneath him and lifted him up.

Eyes met eyes, and Zhao Fangye’s tone was like a piece of cotton soaked in hot water, carrying a damp warmth: “Huaixi, do you really know what you’re doing?”

In the afternoon, Song Huaixi’s face still showed rejection and fear of intimate matters. It had only been a little more than half an hour since they last met.

His attitude had changed so drastically, and a bad feeling rose in Zhao Fangye’s heart. He thought that the incident in the carriage that afternoon had made Song Huaixi uneasy, which was why he had hurriedly sought him out to do this kind of thing.

He was fond of Song Huaixi and naturally couldn’t bear for him to suffer even the slightest grievance. The intimacy between them should come naturally when their emotions were at their peak.

Not with any other distracting thoughts.

Reaching out to wipe the wetness from the corner of his mouth, Zhao Fangye said gently, “Huaixi, you don’t have to mind what happened this afternoon. You don’t have to do this kind of thing to please me, understand? With me here, you don’t have to be obsequious to anyone, including me.”

Still immersed in the tingling sensation Zhao Fangye brought him, Song Huaixi’s eyes widened slightly, and he leaned in his arms, still a little dazed.

For a moment, he didn’t understand what Zhao Fangye meant.

Zhao Fangye didn’t urge him, patiently waiting for his reply.

After a long while, Song Huaixi’s mind gradually cleared. He hugged Zhao Fangye’s waist and said in a soft, glutinous voice.

“Zhao Fangye, I went to ask the old nanny this afternoon. The old nanny said that this is something that only people who like each other do. It’s the most, most, most intimate thing between husband and wife!”

After saying that, Song Huaixi looked at him with childish and excited eyes, his tone firm: “I want to do the most, most, most, most intimate thing with you!”

Zhao Fangye chuckled, and a sigh of relief escaped his heart.

Stroking his eyebrows and eyes: “Aren’t you afraid of the pain?”

    “Not afraid!”

The smile on Zhao Fangye’s lips widened, his eyes dark and unfathomable, as if a storm was gathering. He got up and lit the candlesticks in the room, instantly illuminating the dim bedroom.

As the bright candlelight was lit, Song Huaixi sat on the bed with his clothes disheveled, looking at the things in Zhao Fangye’s hands with watery eyes. His eyes were filled with curiosity.

    “What is this…”

Before he could finish speaking, Zhao Fangye suddenly stepped forward and pushed him onto the bed.

    “Ah…”

A cry of surprise came from Song Huaixi’s mouth, which was then replaced by a low whimper.

The curtains hanging from the bed frame swayed.

One by one, the clothes slipped from the bed and onto the floor.

After a moment, Song Huaixi’s low voice came: “Too bright… don’t have so many candles…”

The lights in the room were too bright. And Zhao Fangye’s eyes were even hotter and brighter.

Song Huaixi reached out to cover his eyes, not daring to look again, feeling so shy for the first time.

A light laugh escaped Zhao Fangye’s throat, and he grabbed his wrist and pulled it away.

A moist kiss was imprinted on his lips: “It’s good that it’s bright. It’s only when it’s bright that I can see Huaixi clearly. If Huaixi doesn’t like it, we’ll put them out.”

His deep voice carried an enchanting quality, and Song Huaixi only felt his face getting hotter.

In the end, the candles in the room were not extinguished.

The carved wooden bed swayed slightly, and the night outside the window was quiet. It was not until the night watchman struck the third watch that this tranquility was broken.

The door was suddenly opened, and Zhao Fangye, dressed in his undergarments and with his dark hair loose, wore a look of satisfaction.

    “Someone, prepare water.”
